It was early Saturday morning, sunlight spilling through the curtains.
Sun Jing was still fast asleep, sprawled out in bed, the blanket tangled halfway around her and-unfortunately-very little clothing covering her.
The door creaked open.
"Young miss-!"
A startled yelp echoed through the hall as a maid with jet-black hair tied neatly into a bun froze at the sight before her. Her face turned scarlet. "I-I'm so sorry!" She quickly shut the door, practically sprinting away.
"Huh...?" Sun Jing stirred, rubbing her eyes. "Did... someone just scream?"
She blinked, finally realizing her lack of clothes. "Oh-right..." she muttered, groaning.

[Tutorial Dungeon Cleared - Rewards Received!]
Reward 1: Skill - Fairy Aura
Reward 2: Weapon - Fairy Bow
Sun Jing blinked, reading the skill description aloud. "Fairy Aura... raises the power of Fairy-type moves by 33% for me and other fairy allies? That's kinda busted."
Her mind briefly flashed back to the slime girl from the dungeon. Her face flushed crimson. "Ugh, don't remind me! I can't believe I lost my first time to a slime boss!" She covered her face with her hands. "That's so embarrassing..."
Taking a deep breath, she shook it off and got out of bed, stretching her arms above her head.
She slipped into a new set of clothes-pink boxers, comfy gray sweatpants, and a red shirt.
Her stomach growled.
"Yeah, yeah, I hear you..." she sighed, heading for the door. "Guess it's breakfast time. Maybe I'll finally meet my new uncle in person today. I've only heard his voice since, you know... the whole reincarnated into another body thing."
Sun Jing sat at the long dining table, the morning sunlight pouring through the large glass windows and lighting up the elegant dining room. She was halfway through a plate of pancakes, eggs, and bacon when the sound of footsteps echoed down the hall.
Her uncle entered - a tall man in his late twenties with short black hair and sharp gray eyes. He wore a black suit, tie already loosened like he'd been up since dawn.
"Morning, Jing," he greeted with a warm smile, taking a sip of his coffee as he sat across from her. "You sleep well?"
"Y-yeah," she replied between bites, glancing up from her plate. "Still getting used to... you know, everything."
He chuckled. "That's normal. This old house can be a lot to take in. Anyway, I wanted to talk to you before I head out."
"Head out?" Sun Jing tilted her head.
"Yeah," he said, setting his cup down. "I'm going on a business trip to Europe for a few weeks. Work stuff. I'll be leaving right after breakfast."
Sun Jing blinked. "Wait, already? You just got here!"
He smiled apologetically. "Yeah, sorry, kiddo. Duty calls." He leaned back in his chair. "You'll be fine, though. The maids will take good care of you while I'm gone. Oh, and don't forget-school starts Monday at Kuoh Academy. Everything you'll need is already prepared."
She sighed and poked at her pancakes. "Yeah, yeah, I saw the uniform in my closet. I'll be ready."
"I'll bring you some souvenirs like always. Maybe a few new video games, too."
Her eyes brightened a little. "You mean it?"
"Of course," he chuckled, standing and grabbing his suitcase from beside the door. "You behave while I'm gone, okay?"
"Got it."
With that, he grabbed his coat, gave one last wave, and headed out the door.
Sun Jing stretched as she walked through the hallways of the mansion, a piece of toast still in her mouth. "Well, that's that. Guess I'm the lady of the house for the next few weeks," she muttered.
As she turned the corner, she spotted a few maids tidying up the living room - dusting, polishing, sweeping. One of them bent over to pick something up, her skirt lifting just slightly, and she glanced back at Sun Jing with a sly smile.
Sun Jing froze mid-step, face instantly flushing red.
"O-Oh, uh-hi!" she blurted, waving awkwardly before turning on her heel and rushing down the hall.
Her heart pounded. "Why did she smile like that?!" she whispered, pressing her hands to her cheeks. A grin crept across her face despite herself. "Maybe... being alone with beautiful women all day every day isn't so bad~"
With a faint giggle and a red face, she made her way back upstairs to her room.

Sun Jing scrolled through the floating panels, nodding to herself. "Not bad... Level twelve before the story even starts."
Sun Jing sat up, stretching before glancing at her system screen again. "Twelve unused stat points, huh? Let's spread it out evenly."
She dragged her finger across the glowing interface, distributing the points one by one between her main stats.
A soft chime echoed in her head as the system confirmed the update.
