Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 ~ Answers

The nurse had begun to tend to Zhane, checking his vital signs and administering oxygen. Celine watched, feeling a mix of concern and curiosity with a glint of suspicion.

As the nurse worked, Celine couldn't help but think about what had happened. She had seen Zhane's limp body on the ground, and she had felt a surge of concern. But she had also seen the looks of fear on the faces of the other students. What had caused that?

The nurse finished her examination and turned to Celine. "He's going to be okay," she said. "But he needs to rest. You can stay with him, but please, don't disturb him."

Celine nodded, feeling a sense of relief. She sat down in a chair beside Zhane's bed, watching over him as he slept. The nurse bustled around the clinic, checking on other students and answering phone calls.

As the minutes ticked by, Celine's mind began to wander. She thought about Zhane, and what had happened to him. She thought about the looks of fear on the faces of the other students. And she thought about the scream she had heard.

It had been a strange, primal sound, like nothing she had ever heard before. Celine shivered, feeling a chill run down her spine. What had caused that scream?

As she sat there, Celine began to notice something strange. Zhane's eyes were moving, as if he was dreaming. And his face was twisted in a mixture of pain and fear.

Celine felt a surge of concern. What was happening to Zhane? Was he okay?

She leaned forward, trying to get a better look at Zhane's face.

Celine gazed closely at Zhane's face, her eyes scanning his features as if searching for something. His eyelids were closed, and his breathing was slow and steady. She could see the faint outline of his eyelashes, and the gentle curve of his nose. His skin was pale, but it seemed to be regaining some color.

As she leaned in closer, Celine's heart began to beat faster. She could feel the warmth of Zhane's skin radiating towards her, and the air between them seemed to vibrate with tension. Suddenly, Zhane's eyes opened, and their gazes met.

Celine's breath caught in her throat as she felt a jolt of surprise. Their faces were so close that she could see the individual flecks of color in Zhane's irises. His eyes were a deep blue, with a hint of green around the edges. She could feel his warm breath on her skin, and the air between them seemed to thicken, like honey on a summer day.

For a moment, they just stared at each other, their lips almost touching. Celine could feel the tension between them building, like a spark about to ignite. She could see the confusion in Zhane's eyes, as if he was trying to remember where he was and what was happening.

Zhane's face was broad shaped, with high cheekbones and a pointed chin. His eyebrows were straight and dark, and his eyelashes were long and thick. His nose was small and slightly upturned, giving him a faintly vulnerable look.

As for Celine, her eyes were a bright green, with a golden ring around the iris. Her hair was a rich, light brown, and her skin was smooth and creamy. Her nose was small and slightly freckled, and her lips were full and pink.

The air between them was electric, charged with a sense of possibility. Celine could feel her heart pounding in her chest, and her face was heating up, as if she was shy. She knew she had to pull away, but for a moment, she just couldn't move.

Then, suddenly, she was aware of the intimacy of their position. She was leaning over Zhane, their faces almost touching. She jerked back, her face burning with embarrassment.

Zhane looked up at her, his eyes confused and disoriented. He seemed to be trying to remember what had happened, and why Celine was leaning over him. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them still palpable.

Then, Zhane's eyes clouded , his gaze dropped, and he looked away. Celine took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. She knew she had to get out of there, before things got any more complicated.

But as she looked at Zhane, she saw something that made her heart skip a beat. His eyes were changing, shifting from a deep brown to a piercing silver . And his face was relaxing, as if he was finally letting go of some deep-seated pain.

Celine stared, mesmerized. What was happening to Zhane? And why did she feel like she was seeing a different person altogether?

As she watched, Zhane's eyes locked onto hers. He stared at her, his gaze piercing and intense. Celine felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew that she was in trouble.

"Who are you?" Zhane whispered, his voice low and husky.

Celine smiled, feeling a sense of relief. "I'm Celine," she said. "I found you in the hallway. You were hurt."

Zhane's eyes narrowed, as if he was trying to remember. And then, slowly, his face relaxed. "Thank you," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Celine smiled, feeling a sense of connection to this mysterious boy. "You're welcome," she said. "But what happened to you?"

Zhane's eyes clouded over, and he looked away. Celine knew that she had touched on something painful. But she also knew that she had to know more.

"What happened?" she repeated, her voice gentle but insistent.

Zhane's eyes flashed back to hers, and for a moment, Celine saw a glimmer of fear. But then, his face relaxed, and he began to speak.

"I don't know," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "But I think I'm in trouble."

Celine's eyes locked onto Zhane's, her mind racing with questions. What kind of trouble was he in? And why did he seem so scared?

"Tell me more," she said, her voice soft and encouraging.

Zhane hesitated, his eyes darting around the room as if he was searching for an escape. But then, he seemed to relax, and he began to speak.

"I don't know what's happening to me," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I just feel like something is wrong. Like I'm in danger."

Celine's heart skipped a beat. She couldn't imagine what it must be like to feel that way, to be constantly on edge and afraid.

"What makes you feel that way?" she asked, her voice gentle.

Zhane hesitated again, his eyes clouding over. "I don't know," he said. "It's just a feeling I have. Like something or someone is watching me"

Celine shivered, feeling a chill run down her spine. She couldn't imagine what it must be like to live with that kind of fear, to always be looking over your shoulder.

"But what could be causing it?" she asked, her voice full of concern.

Zhane shook his head. "I don't know," he said. "But I think it's connected to...to something that happened to me."

"What happened?" she asked, her voice gentle.

Zhane hesitated, his eyes clouding over. "I don't know if I should tell you," he said. "It's just...it's hard to explain."

Celine nodded, understanding. "You don't have to tell me," she said. "But if you need someone to talk to, I'm here."

Zhane looked up at her, his eyes searching. And for a moment, Celine felt like he could see right through her, like he knew all her secrets.

"Thank you," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Celine smiled, feeling a sense of connection to this mysterious boy. "You're welcome," she said. "Now, get some rest. We'll talk more later."

Zhane nodded, his eyes closing as he drifted off to sleep. Celine watched over him, her mind racing with questions.

A few minutes passed , then her phone rang , she picked it up and looked at the screen to see that Cindy was calling her , she turned towards Zhane but he was already asleep, she gave him a small smile then stood up and left the room .
