Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Warlord Queen

The air reeked of blood and burning flesh.

The night sky above the Green Goblin village flickered red as fires spread across the wooden rooftops. Shadows danced in the chaos, the screams of the dying mixing with the guttural war cries of the attackers.

A small but vicious group of Purple Goblins had broken through the crude wooden wall, pouring into the streets like a wave of locusts, slaughtering everything in their path. One purple goblin leapt onto the back of a fleeing villager, ripping out a chunk of flesh. Another drove his rusted cleaver into a woman's belly, twisting it until her insides spilled onto the mud.

The Green Goblins fought back desperately with farming tools and kitchen knives, but their resistance only enraged the invaders.

The massacre threatened to end the village completely—

—if not for the arrival of the Green Goblin Warrior Army.

With a thunder of boots, they poured in from the western gate, armored in leather and bone, their spears glinting in the firelight. They roared as they slammed into the purple invaders like a green tide, skewering enemies left and right.

The battle turned into a brutal brawl, the muddy ground soaking up the blood of both sides.

Then—a deep, booming voice cut through the clash of steel.

"ARSOUR! ARSOUR!"

From the chaos emerged a Purple Goblin in golden armor, taller and broader than the rest, his helmet shaped like the skull of some monstrous beast. The purple goblins rallied around him instantly, chanting his name.

Arsour raised a silver-thick war staff high, then slammed its butt into the ground with a thunderous crack.

"Ground Poison!" he bellowed.

From where the staff struck, a black-green mist hissed up from the dirt, spreading in a wide circle. Wherever it touched, the Green Goblins began to gag and collapse, clutching their throats.

Their skin turned a sickly shade, veins bulging, and they fell into spasms, choking on their own blood.

Arsour's jagged grin widened as his enemies dropped like flies. "Pathetic worms," he snarled, stepping over the twitching bodies.

But before he could strike again—

A massive ninja shuriken spun down from above like a silver blur, and in an instant—

SHHHHK!

—it tore straight through Arsour's armored chest. The impact split his torso clean in half. His upper body slid from his waist and crashed to the dirt. A fountain of blood sprayed the ground, steaming in the night air.

As his severed body twitched, a shadow emerged from the gory mess—a person.

A tall figure stepped out from the blood, her long, black hair tied loosely, strands sticking to her sweat-slicked skin. Her body was lean but muscular, her green skin gleaming in the firelight. Across her back was strapped a massive, curved blade still wet with enemy blood.

Every goblin—green and purple—recognized her instantly.

GARGI. The Warlord of the Green Goblins.

Her eyes scanned the battlefield, and when they fell on her fallen warriors, her lips curled back into a vicious snarl.

"You came into my home… and slaughtered my people." Her voice shook with cold rage.

"I will kill you all."

The purple goblins roared in response, charging toward her from all sides.

A huge, bloated purple goblin swung a spiked mace. Gargi stepped into his swing, her blade flashing once—his head tumbled from his shoulders before his body even realized it was dead. Another came from behind; Gargi caught the spear shaft under her arm, snapped it, and drove the broken end into the attacker's throat.

More came—assassins with poisoned daggers, heavyset brutes swinging axes. Gargi's movements were like flowing water—twist, slash, spin, stab. Every step she took left another corpse in her wake.

She was unstoppable—until a deep rumble made the earth shake beneath their feet.

From beyond the burning wall, a shadow began to rise… tall, hulking, with glowing red eyes that pierced the smoke. The purple goblins cheered as the silhouette grew larger and larger, its massive outline towering over the battlefield.

Gargi's eyes narrowed, gripping her blade.

"...What the hell is that?"

The shadow stepped into the firelight—and the ground itself seemed to groan under its weight.
