I'm back. Sorry for the delay again.
Recently, I had to rewrite the entire plot because I wanted to incorporate a new idea. Also, for the past two weeks, I've been preparing for Patreon, so I was busy writing advanced chapters.
But from now on, I'll try to post advanced chapters on Patreon on the first day of each month, so Webnovel readers will still get a chapter every week without delay.
Thank you for reading and supporting the story.
💖 Huge thanks to everyone who has given me Powerstones!

Night fell over Mondstadt. Lanterns lit the streets, and music from the plaza drifted softly through the air. Henry was about to close up and packed his stall up in system space when he heard the click of boots behind him.
"Still working hard, I see."
He turned. Eula stood there, her usual stern expression softened by the warm glow of the lamps. Her knightly uniform gleamed faintly, her cape fluttering gently in the night breeze.
"Ah, gorgeous lady Eula! You caught me at my most profitable hour." He grinned, raising a pouch of Mora. "See? Business booming."
Eula arched an eyebrow. "You've only been here one day."
"Exactly! And already turning heads," he said, leaning in slightly. "Some of those heads even have Mora."
Eula's lips curved faintly, almost a smile, "That's good."
The streets were calmer now, and the city looked even more beautiful under the moonlight — larger and livelier than Henry had ever imagined from the game. Music drifted faintly from taverns, and the scent of baked bread and roasted meat drifting from roadside stalls.
"So," Henry said, pausing, "I realized something tragic today."
"Oh?" she asked. "What tragedy struck this time?"
"I still haven't tried Mondstadt's specialty dishes. You can't expect a new citizen to live on his own instant noodles forever."
Eula hesitated, then looked at him briefly. "...Fine. There's a place — Good Hunter. It's popular with locals. I'll treat you."
Henry's grin widened. "Dinner with the elegant Captain Eula? I must be the luckiest man alive."
"Flattery won't get you anywhere," she muttered. Her ears were faintly red — just noticeable in the moonlight.
As they walked, Henry noticed the stares — people whispering, some glaring. The looks weren't directed at him. They were aimed at her. The murmurs carried faintly through the air — words like "Lawrence", "arrogant noble", "Knight of Favonius. " drifted faintly through the air.
Eula kept walking as if she didn't hear them, head held high.
Henry frowned. "They still treat you like that, huh…"
"It doesn't matter," she said quietly. "I've grown used to it."
"That doesn't mean it's right" ,Henry thought. He wanted to say something, but she gave him a calm nod — and he let it go.
"I must do something about this soon."
Soon they arrived at a large restaurant which was unfamiliar to Henry. If not for the large signpost he wouldn't have guessed the name. The Good Hunter.
Good Hunter looked massive compared to its in-game version. Two floors, dozens of tables, waiters and the smell of roasted meat and spices wafting from the open kitchen.
A young server approached. "Good evening," she said, nodding politely to both of them before casting a curious glance at Henry.
Henry's eyes widened slightly. Sara… she also looks like her in-game model.
Eula ordered her usual steak and vegetable soup, while Henry tried the sticky honey roast which was Mondstadt's specialty dish he had heard so much about in-game.
The food arrived, steaming and fragrant. Henry sampled his sticky honey roast carefully, savoring the sweet and savory glaze. The flavors were richer than he expected — more vivid than the in-game textures, almost as if the city itself was feeding him through its cuisine.
They ate in comfortable silence for a while. The gentle clinking of cutlery and the low hum of conversation surrounded them.
As they ate, Henry told her a little about his past . About growing up as an orphan, getting adopted by caring parents, working his way up to become a researcher back home.
Eula listened quietly, her posture relaxed, her gaze softer than usual.
"I see," she said finally. "You've worked hard for your dreams. That's admirable."
Henry smiled faintly. "Guess I just like making things that make people's lives easier — or tastier like I did with the noodles today."
She almost smiled again. "That's… a good way to look at it."
They finished their meal, and as they stepped outside, the moonlight washed over the plaza. The city felt peaceful — like the world itself had slowed down for a while.
Eula glanced at him. "Have you made any lodging arrangements? All inns are already closed for the night"
Henry froze. "Oh. Uh… I may have forgotten. Got busy selling, you know?"
Her sigh was soft but not unkind. "You're hopeless. I have spare rooms in my estate. You can stay there for now — as long as you don't cause trouble."
Henry grinned. "So I get dinner and a room from a gorgeous knight? Truly, Mondstadt is a land of miracles."
"Hmph." Color rose across Eula's cheeks before she looked away. "Keep that up, and I'll be forced to enact my vengeance on you."
They walked through the moonlit streets, Eula led Henry toward a modest estate near the western edge of the city — a property maintained for ranking officers of the Knights of Favonius. The guards at the gate nodded respectfully as she entered, and Henry followed, still slightly awed by how orderly and peaceful everything looked.
They walked through quiet streets toward a modest estate at the city's western edge, maintained for higher-ranking officers of the Knights. The guards at the gate gave a polite nod as they passed.
Inside, the estate was orderly, yet welcoming. Eula led Henry to a room on the ground floor near the stairs, and opened the door.
The estate quarters were simple but clean — wooden floors, a comfortable bed, and a small window overlooking the empty streets below. Eula handed him the spare key before heading upstairs to her own room.
"Rest well," she said, pausing at the stairs.
Henry smiled faintly. "Thanks again, Eula. For dinner, the room… and the company."
Eula gave a small nod, her expression unreadable. "Goodnight, Henry."
The door closed softly behind her, leaving him in the gentle silence of his room.
Wooden floors, a comfortable bed, and a window overlooking the calm streets below.
He sat on the bed, glancing out the window. Mondstadt glowed faintly under the moonlight — the windmills turning slowly in the distance, the faint laughter from the plaza fading into the night.
[Congratulations, Master. Your business survived Day One.]
[That's how all legends start — with a bit of desperation and a free sample.]
Henry chuckled, "Thanks… I guess."
[Don't pretend. I can tell your gratitude is fake.]
He muttered under his breath as he laid on the bed, I am being genuine, System.
The sheets smelled faintly of fresh linen. His body ached pleasantly from the long day, but his mind was strangely at ease.
"Uh… by the way what can I call you? calling you 'System' feels weird now.You sound… sentient.". Henry asked her.
[I don't have a name but you could give me a name ]
"How about… Orianna?"
[Nice name, thanks for naming me. But It's late now—go to sleep.]
What a first day in Teyvat, he thought with a faint smile before drifting off to sleep.
