Chapter 10 - The Creep At The End Of The Line"

[Missing, Search, Encounter,

Escape and The Confrontation ]

"The city is filled with the fear of murder. Fear is everywhere; an inexplicable terror begins to grip everyone as the daylight fades and the darkness swallows the city. Even the air they breathe seems to be permeated by that fear."

"Everyone in that city lives in the fear of who will be next in every passing moment. Every night, many lives are extinguished under the cover of darkness."

DAY 1: Missing &Disappearance

"The news of the missing girl began to spread throughout the city"

Nancy rushes to Doctor Devis's hospital. Her pace is very frantic. Her face is completely enveloped in fear.

As soon as she got into the taxi, she called him, but Devis didn't pick up the call.

The city is very busy today. Finally, she arrived at the hospital.

Nancy's first sight inside was Darren.

'Doctor Darren,'

She walked towards him.

Darren didn't recognize Nancy.

"Doctor, I'm Nancy... I came here a few years ago with a patient.'"

He looked suspiciously.

'Which patient?'

'Shino... sorry... Zerin Shinova.'

Upon hearing that name, he turned towards her.

'Oh, Shinova... I know. What happened now?'

'Nothing, Doctor Devis is looking after her now, so I came to see the Doctor.'

'Oh, okay.'

Darren left without saying a word.

Devis walked in right after he left.

'Nancy,'

Seeing her there, unusually, he called out to her involuntarily.

'Doctor,'

Seeing him, she became tense again and walked closer.

'What is it... what happened?'

Devis asked, seeing Nancy's anxiety. The change in Nancy's facial expression and the fear in her voice began to instill fear within him too.

Nancy took a news clipping from her bag and gave it to him.

Devis was shocked when he took it and looked.

(Another girl is missing)

Fear filled Devis's heart upon seeing the news.

'Doctor, another girl is missing. Doesn't that mean nothing is over?'

Nancy asked fearfully.

'Shino....'

Devis said without taking his eyes off the paper.

'Shinova is also missing.'

Hearing that, it was as if something broke inside Devis.

'What?????!!!!!!'

'Yes, Doctor. As soon as I saw the news, the first place I went was to look for Shino, but she is not there. I can't reach her on the phone.'

'What are you saying? Shino....

Does that mean this missing girl is Shino?'

He looked at her, unable to believe her.

'I don't know. We can't say anything until we find the body.'

It felt like something had broken inside Nancy; her best friend is now missing.

A sense of guilt that she had promised to be with her until the end also grew within her.

'Nancy, don't be afraid. You know nothing will happen to Shino. She will come back.'

Nancy left the hospital with a heart-wrenching pain.

From there, Devis went straight to Shinova's room.

Devis opened the door and entered the room. There was no evidence that anything had happened in the room. He checked everything in the room.

He felt as if someone was watching him. Devis's mind told him that someone other than himself was present here.

It was then that he found the photo lying on the floor. In it, Shinova was looking outside at night.

He went to the window and looked out as well. Devis stood looking out at the road, not knowing what happened that night.

Time kept moving on. Nancy and Devis wander the city, not knowing where the missing Shinova is.

Nancy went straight from the hospital to the old station where they first went. It was already getting late.

She stood outside the station for a long time, thinking. Nancy truly knew what the inside felt like.

She had left that day, having found peace in the thought that she would never have to return here again. The person who was with her that day is now gone. Nancy, determined inside that she must bring Shinova back at any cost, took her first steps inside.

As she entered, the light was dim. Because it was very old, the sounds occurring here and there echoed throughout the platform."

Every step began to take her back to the old events. As the fear intensified, Nancy stopped halfway.

'No... I can't do it,'

Her mind pulled her back. Nancy closed her eyes for a moment. What came into her mind now was not fear, but Shinova's face.

Nancy was someone who knew what loneliness was, just like Shino. She had forgotten it only after Shino came into her life. Her friendship with Shino was not like others. She wasn't an overtly excited person. She didn't outwardly show care or love like others.

But...

Above all, her place in Shino's heart was like a blessing. The moment when she had promised that she would never leave her, no matter the circumstances, flashed before Nancy.

Gathering all her courage, she walked forward.

'Shino...'

She called out loudly as she entered the darkness.

'Shino... Are you here....?!'

The loud sound echoed in her own ears.

Nancy reached the ticket counter of the old, deserted station.

'Shino...'

She called out loudly again.

However, there was no reply. With a heart-breaking pain, Nancy started to walk back from there."

"Not knowing where Shino went in a single night, Nancy walked back.

Before stepping out, she turned and looked behind her again. No, she couldn't see anything specific. Just as she was about to exit the station, Nancy suddenly heard the sound of someone walking inside.

She paused for a moment, then turned back, and strained her ears. She heard the sound of someone running and hiding inside again.

Time kept dragging on, and the darkness inside grew deeper. Nancy, who was ready to risk her life for her friend, went back inside.

She walked in and checked the platform. There was no one there. She walked forward again. Suddenly, she heard the same sound again.

Slowly, she moved toward the next platform of the station. That platform had a light. The fact that the light on the old platform was still working surprised her.

There was no one there either; she searched the whole area, but found no one.

Slowly, the lights began to flicker. She realized that some danger was imminent. Just as Nancy turned to leave, all the lights on that platform suddenly went off simultaneously.

A solitary darkness enveloped the surroundings. Nancy's heart began to pound rapidly. She was certain that even if something happened to her in this old station, the outside world would never know.

She took out her mobile phone, turned it on, and switched on the flash. Nancy walked forward slowly. She had only taken a few steps. Suddenly, the light on her mobile phone also began to flicker.

It didn't last long, and that light also went off. Nancy's heartbeat intensified. She stumbled in the darkness and walked slowly forward.

Suddenly, the lights that had gone out came back on. All the lights turned on simultaneously. Nancy slowly looked at those lights. Now, they were not flickering.

Just as she slowly took a step forward, she suddenly heard someone coming towards the end of the platform.

Convinced that someone was about to attack her again, Nancy stood still without turning around. The sound suddenly stopped. Because the sound stopped so abruptly, Nancy slowly turned around with suspicion.

There was no one near her. She looked around again, wondering whose sound she had heard.

Only one light at the end of the platform began to flicker. Nancy stared intently at that spot.

The light flickered and then began to burn steadily again. But Nancy saw another sight there.

Someone was sitting on the bench under the light at the end of the platform, facing away from her.

A person wearing something that covered their head and body. She couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman.

Slowly, Nancy walked towards the person. The lights flickered with every step she took.

Ignoring everything, Nancy walked toward the person.

When Nancy reached the person, she looked closely at them.

Just as Nancy was about to place her hand on the person's shoulder, the burning lights suddenly went out again.

Nancy stood there motionless, unable even to turn and run. The lights came back on suddenly, and now the person was not there.

Realizing this was a trap, Nancy quickly turned to leave. For a moment, her heart seemed to seize up, and she stood still.

The person was standing right in front of her.

'Hah!'

Suddenly, the lights went off again.

Ignoring even the darkness, Nancy began to run forward.

The lights came back on again.

She reached the old platform. Certain that staying here meant certain death, Nancy ran out.

Suddenly, a sound—the sound of a train approaching the station.

Nancy stopped when she heard the sound of a train at this station, which had been closed for many years.

A long light approached the station from the distant darkness. A train arrived, empty of people inside.

Nancy backed away.

The train door opened, but no one got out.

Nancy watched with suspicion. It was then that a person stepped out from inside it.

A tall man, wearing an outfit resembling a jumpsuit, and a hat like a magician wears. He slowly turned towards Nancy. There were several necklaces around his neck, and one of them had "CREEP" written on it.

'Creep....'

Nancy read slowly.

Suddenly, he raised his face towards Nancy.

'Hey Nancy,'

He smiled, waved his hand at Nancy, and called her name.

Hearing that, Nancy's heart stopped.

'Hey Nancy.....'

He said again.

Nancy stood bewildered, not knowing what to say back or what to do.

The train that had arrived began to depart.

A long sound came from the train.

'Oww..... Bye... bye... my dear friend.....'

He waved his hand at the train.

There was no one on the train. The train quickly left the place.

Meanwhile...

While his attention was diverted, Nancy ran away from the place.

'Bye bye.... friends, you b*stards, may you die soon,'

He said, waving his hand and laughing.

The train had left.

'Oh... and Miss Nancy...'

He turned towards her again, but Nancy was not there.

He realized she had escaped when his attention was briefly diverted.

Nancy ran quickly forward through the darkness. No matter how much she ran, she couldn't reach the outside. Nancy fell in many places in the darkness.

Finally, Nancy reached the ticket counter. Since she was struggling to breathe, she stopped there for a while.

'CREEP, who is he... He must be the one who kidnapped Shino.'

There was no time to waste.

"Nancy's only thought was to escape and get out before The Creep came looking for her.

Suddenly, the light inside the counter began to flicker.

She realized he had spotted her.

Suddenly, those lights went off. Only darkness surrounded them.

'Hey...'

Someone whispered near her ear. She turned in the darkness, not knowing who it was, and the light that had gone out came back on.

But there was no one in front of her.

'Miss Nancy,'

Someone called her from behind. She slowly turned around. The Creep was standing beside the exit door behind her. He stood there as if deep in thought.

'Isn't it wrong to leave while someone is talking without informing them, Miss Nancy?'

'Who are you?' Nancy asked fearfully.

'Ehm,'

He slowly cleared his throat.

'Who are you? Tell me properly.'

She clutched the rod tightly in her hand.

'CREEP,'

He said.

'Creep?'

He slowly removed his hat and walked forward.

'Don't come near me...'

Nancy backed away in fear. The Creep walked right up to her.

'I told you not to come near me. If you come any closer, I will destroy you,' she aimed the rod at him.

'Me... you...'

He mocked her.

'If you were going to kill me, why did you run away scared...?

You, who are afraid of me, want to destroy me?'

He laughed again.

'I am CREEP, The Father of Fear... The King of Death... No one can destroy me, Miss.'

In the blink of an eye, he was behind her.

'It takes me mere seconds to destroy you, girl.'

The fear of death was evident in Nancy's eyes.

Suddenly, just as she turned to attack him, The Creep kicked her in the chest. With the force of the kick, Nancy was thrown forward and fell.

'Ah.'

'You, just a human, dare to confront me... and a woman at that... I feel very sad, Nancy.'

He slowly approached her. Nancy slowly got up from the floor, grabbed the rod again, and gripped it tightly.

'Hmm... That courage is commendable, Miss Nancy.'

Nancy noticed that he kept saying her name repeatedly.

'How do you know my name?'

Nancy asked angrily.

'I know.... and... your scent still attracts me, Nancy,'

He looked her up and down and said with a smile.

Hearing that, she remembered the events that had happened before.

'You...'

She remembered the supernatural man who had tried to molest her that day.

Seeing that he was still looking at her just as a woman, full of lust, Nancy could not control her anger.

Nancy, who always shrank back in fear, slowly moved forward, driven by rage.

'You are beautiful, Nancy... exceedingly beautiful.'

He slowly approached her. Just as he tried to touch her face, she swung the rod in her hand at him, but The Creep blocked it. But in the moment he blocked it, she punched The Creep hard in the face with her other hand.

The Creep fell down from the force of the punch. Even though he was a supernatural being, The Creep couldn't counter her attack.

'Beauty is not just the face! You can't belittle anyone just because of their beauty or because they are a woman, you motherf***er!'"....

The Creep tried to get up but couldn't. Nancy climbed on top of him, pressing the rod against his throat.

'You shameless son of a b*tch! You want me????, you lustful dog!'

Nancy pressed hard on his throat...

Suddenly, The Creep placed his two fingers on the pulse points in her neck. The moment his hand touched her, Nancy instantly lost consciousness and fell onto him.

The Creep lay there just as he was. Slowly, he moved her aside, got up, and sat.

'How could she attack me... No one I've destroyed has even been able to touch me, but how did she manage it?'

He looked at Nancy's unconscious face.

After a long time, Nancy slowly opened her eyes. Now she was in a room somewhere. Once she fully regained consciousness, she sat up on the bed.

'Ahhh.' She felt pain in her forehead and body.

'Nancy...'

Devis was standing there, looking at her with a glass of warm water in his hand.

'Devis...' Nancy looked at him.

'How did I get here??'

She asked, not knowing how she had arrived.

'I knew that if you were nowhere else, you would eventually go there. When it got very late, I came to the station. You were lying outside the entrance unconscious. Then I brought you here.'

He put the water on the desk and walked out.

'Get some rest...'

'Creep,'

She said softly.

'Who is that...?'

Devis looked at her.

'What happened to me wasn't a lie. The Creep was the one who left me outside the station... But why?'

'Why did he let me go without killing me?'

Nancy looked out...

He was sitting outside, on the side of the room's window.

'Why did your attack weaken me.... why couldn't I kill you...??'

He looked into the light falling through the window."
