Chapter 9 - Gulor

Kelam had changed.

it was no longer a mist that devoured memory. it had become something larger, colder, quieter. it merged with the fractures of time, adn from that void emerged Gulor a dark entity that didn't jsut freeze light, but halted time itself.

The sky over Wamena turned a deep gray. The sun no logner rose it hung a like a shadow that forgot how to shine. People stopped speaking. They didn't forget the froze. Their movements slowed, like dreams held back. The scared stones didn't crack they stood still. As if waiting for something that would never arrive.

Yohwa stood at the edge of the valley, staring toward the center of the mist. He could feel the shift. The resonance within him no longer pulsed. it ws still. He knew this wasm't just a threat. it was an ending waiting to begin.

Yohwa gripped his hammer. The light within it still existed, but dimmed, He knew strength wouldn't be enought. He had to carry something deeper resonance that wasn't jsut his, but belonged to all who had ever remebered.

They walked toward the center of the mist. There, time stopped. Their steps left no trace, Their voices made no echo. And in the heart of tjat void stood Gulor.

His body was tall. made of fractured stone and shadow. His eyes were hollow, yet deep. He didn't speak. He only stared And in that gaze, Yohwa saw the past betrayal, ruin, prayers never answered.

Gulor raised hi hand, and the wolrd fell silent. Stone around them froze. Numa collapsed to his knees, his body stiff. Yohwa tried to move, but time resisted him.

Then, from within, a voice emerged. Not Sira's. Not the ancenstor's. But his own.

"I didn't come to flight,' he whispered.

"I came to remember."

Light flared within him. The cracks in his armor turned into paths of light. His hammer trembled—not with rage, but with hope. He stepped forward, and each step revived time.

Gulor watched. He didn't attack. He remained still. And in that stillness, Yohwa raised his hammer—not to destroy, but to awaken.

He struck the ground. A wave of resonance spread. Stones began to glow. Numa could move again. People began to speak. The sun returned, slowly, as if remembering how to shine.

Gulor trembled. His body cracked. But not from defeat. From memory.

Yohwa stepped closer. He didn't speak. He only stared. And Gulor, for the first time, bowed his head.

He wasn't erased. He wasn't defeated. He was remembered.
