Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 The Fury of the Dragon God

"P—Please forgive me!"

Cardin begged, his voice high-pitched and choked with terror.

He had never encountered fear like this.

He looked up at Jaune, whose eyes were twin suns of impossible gold, and felt the weight of the world pressing down on him.

However, Jaune didn't have control over his overflowing emotion right now.

The primal fury of the Flood Dragon God Physical Body had fully submerged his conscious mind.

He pushed Cardin down with his raw Dragon's Aura.

Cardin felt his body being crushed under a large, invisible boulder. His Aura began to decrease rapidly, and he knew that if it ran out, the physical pressure would literally kill him.

"Boss! I am okay now. Please don't be angry anymore!"

Velvet, even through her pain and fear, was still kind enough to attempt to save her tormentor.

She stumbled forward, trying to break Jaune's focus, but nothing could penetrate the golden-hued field of pure rage surrounding him.

The situation was spiraling toward a fatal conclusion, but then a blur of purple light arrived.

Glynda Goodwitch, having sensed the massive, unusual spike in Aura and primal energy, had rushed to the scene.

She immediately used her Semblance, Telekinesis, to forcefully rip Cardin out of Jaune's immediate area of effect, shoving the stunned bully backward across the shop floor.

But by doing that, she instantly became the primary target for the enraged Dragon God.

"Die…"

The single word was a low growl, devoid of any human inflection.

Glynda instinctively dodged. Jaune's first attack—a straight-line thrust—was so quick, so perfectly targeted, that she dodged his attack by pure, desperate luck.

If his attack had connected, she knew with cold certainty that her Aura might have been shattered instantly.

"Calm down, Jaune! This isn't you!"

Glynda shouted, trying to use her voice and authority to pull his mind back from the abyss.

But it was all in vain. Jaune was already in front of her, his speed defying logic, before he executed a massive leap, gaining altitude instantly.

'He can fly!'

Glynda realized with horror.

She protected herself by summoning a massive, thick stone wall from the shop floor, coating it in her defensive Aura.

Jaune smashed into the wall, but instead of stopping, he destroyed it with a simple, clawed hand slash. Lightning slashes, pure golden-white energy, shot from his fingers and cut the dense stone into chunks of rubble that fell harmlessly to the floor.

The fight between Jaune and Glynda swiftly escalated into the air, minimizing the immediate damage to the shop, but the power disparity was clear.

High above the school, inside his office in the central tower, Ozpin was watching the fight unfold on his surveillance screens, his face grim.

The energy signature Jaune was radiating was unlike anything he had recorded in millennia.

"The power spike is immense. It's too aggressive, too primal,"

Ozpin muttered, quickly calling Qrow Branwen on his Scroll.

"Qrow, I need you back at Beacon immediately. Glynda is engaged with Arc, and she might be in danger."

And while he was talking to Qrow.

Someone spoke to him from behind.

"Let me help her, Professor."

"But you haven't recovered enough yet, You need to stay put."

"That's not true, I am fully healed,"

Amber, the former Fall Maiden, stood beside Ozpin.

Thanks to Jaune's potent Copper Rank healing potions and advanced treatments, she was fully recovered and standing strong, her Aura reserves completely restored.

"Let me help her, Professor,"

Amber insisted, her eyes fixed on the display showing Jaune's uncontrolled, destructive flight.

"Don't worry, I know how to quench his anger. I've been on the receiving end of pure, burning rage before. I know what he needs."

Ozpin hesitated only for a second, trusting the young woman's experience and her now-powerful connection to the seasonal energy.

"Very well, Amber. But be careful. If his focus is solely on Glynda, try to draw him away from the main campus."

Amber nodded, gathering her own wind and lightning power.

She shot out of the tower and toward the chaotic aerial battle, ready to face the raging Flood Dragon God.
