Chapter 5 - IN THE DARK OF NIGHT

The smell of steaming fries filled her black Mazda demio, Elizabeth hid in the dark of night watching over the Itowers building.

It was nearly knock off time and some staff were changing shifts, then it came. A golf GTI parked in the parking lot, the windows rolled down 'Riley Gapes!' Elizabeth exclaimed at her sight.

Elizabeth watched closely as Riley put on a feint layer of makeup, she continued to eat her fries until she saw him. The waiter she was waiting for, after hours of thinking her intuition led her to believe the set up was bigger than she thought, but to confirm it she needed to pull the thread.

Riley and waiter kissed briefly before driving off, Elizabeth followed staying two cars behind them. They drove all the way to Kgale Hill, 'A secluded, dark place' Elizabeth took note.

The two got of off the car and started to go up the hill, 'there are no buildings up here, so why?' Elizabeth questioned herself. She followed behind them slowly, but before going up the hill she saw the waiter bow before the hill.

In that moment the rocks recoiled like a serpent, opening up a path between the hill until it was clear as day. The purple torches lit up in the cavern formed between, then Riley and the waiter walked in. 'Should I follow them or turn back?' Elizabeth hesitated, her lips folding in and out.

"Ahh damn it!" Elizabeth recoiled.

She ran to enter the cavern before it closed down, the moment her foot set into the cavern she felt it. The air grew warmer, slightly humid. Elizabeth tightened her grip on the gun at her side, if it were not for the events from three years ago she wouldn't have the courage to set foot here.

At the end of the cavern was a medieval castle hidden between hectares of pinewood, Elizabeth gasped at the sight. It was humongous, nearly the vertical height of fifty meters. 'You have got to be kidding me, just who is this man.' Elizabeth marveled at the grandiose castle.

Elizabeth kept sneaking around, 'A castle of such magnitude is low on security, is it all a trap?' her intuition kicked up. Just as she thought of turning away the sight of shadows walking towards her put the fear of God in her heart, the shadows were large with long tales twirling behind them.

Elizabeth turned to hide between the tower foundation and a bush of Benjamin's, her heart rate made a sprint as she grew eerily distressed. The two reptilians finally revealed passed by the bush speaking in an old tongue.

"Yig shah mut ba sar." The other remarked.

"ahh gut gu da remul, ji surt ka ma." The other shouted irritably.

Elizabeth held her breath with her hand covering her face, she waited for the two turn by a corner before she could leave. When they turned she rose up and ran out of the bushes but she crashed into the sturdy form of Dominic.

"A hut na fe mu targen." A reptilian guard shouted, startled by Elizabeth.

"Welcome home Elizabeth, I've been expecting you." Dominic greeted.

But Elizabeth turned away attempting to bolt out of that place, but behind her stood Riley who smiled eerily with distorted lips. Then 'Whack!' she hit Elizabeth with a strong left hook, leaving her incapacitated.

The next thing Elizabeth saw was a circular room filled with candles, she on the other hand was dressed up in a white dress and tied up. The floor smelled like iron and rot.

Elizabeth looked up to see rows of men and women dressed up in occultist robes, being at the center she knew exactly what was about to happen. 'Ritual sacrifice!' she gasped a final tear that greyed her white dress.

Dominic's blue eyes glowed an uncharacteristic red under the candle light, he walked closer to Elizabeth and whispered so only she would know.

"Ceaser is dead, you can die a peaceful death." He taunted her. "And Robert, he will be in good hands, his rich uncle will make sure he never needs a single thing." He assured her.

"Why are you doing this?" Elizabeth asked.

Dominic stepped a few steps back and used his left hand to tear of his face, revealing the horror of is truth. In Elizabeth's eyes he saw a terrible fear and confusion. But mostly he saw hate, a hatred so deep it oozed out of her skin.

"Begin the ceremony" Dominic commanded.

An old reptile with baggy scales and an arching back came holding in one hand a wooden bowl and the other a white knife made from a sharpened humorous. She closed her eyes hoping it will just end quickly, bleeding to death would be a horrible way to go.

On the other hand, Ceaser heard his cell door open. The sound was strangely different, unlike all the other times. He turned his head to listen for other details, but the person behind the door was absolutely swift.

"Ceaser! I see you've connected with that parasite…nearly bonded. An hour later and you would have rought disaster to the world." Tev Eindritch mocked.

"Well its not like I had any choice on the matter." Ceaser mocked.

Tev flashed a long sword with a mosaic pattern on its blade, not only was it beautiful to look at but it also had a negative shine. Ceaser knew what the blade was for so he fell to his knees and slumped forward.

"Any last words, Mr. Ceaser Grey." Tev questioned.

"Please make sure my son and Elizabeth are well taken care of, they are too innocent and precious to be lumped into all this." Ceaser requested.

Tev paused slightly, digesting the request asked of him. Then in an instant his blade sparked against the rocky ground beneath the holding cell's cushion, there was no blood or scream. Simply silence and the thud of a head.
