Amethyst and Serena walked through the palace walls, they stood in front of a wide door to which the servants opened it and they walked out. The fresh crisp morning air hit them carrying the scents of different flowers.
The garden was very nice, a breathtaking scenery if she may add, nicely cultivated plants, fresh grown flowers which added life and color in contrast to the cold exterior of the palace. Serena lips twisted in a smile, she looked up to the sky, there was no visible cloud, she squinted her eyes due to the intensity of the sun ray.
She felt free somehow, looking at the sky, it felt as if she's been in a dark hole, away from the world, away from everything and now she could finally walk out and even admire the sky, she felt at peace.
All the while amethyst stared at Serena, a confused look drawn on her face.
"Why are you staring and at the same time smiling at the sky?" She asked not quite understanding her.
"It's a beautiful sight, I'm just grateful that's all, not much people get to see and marvel at it's beauty." Serena replied turning to stare at her with a smile.
"It just looks normal, like the every day sky, what is so special about this one? And what do you mean not much people get to see it?" Amethyst questioned. Serena thought at first to explain it to her but brushed it off, she wouldn't understand.
Serena shrugged lightly. "Nothing just saying that is all, you brought me here why?" she said diverting the topic to something else. Amethyst had an unconvincing look on her face before just brushing it off.
"I just wanted to talk to you that's all, come with me, I have an amazing spot in this garden, brother let me stay there since it was my favorite, not much people know about it." Amethyst said, she pulled Serena arms and they both walked further into the garden.
The place sectioned behind the palace, a little rest area made just for a few people, it was surrounded with grasses which has beautifully arranged flowers, there were two cushions laid neatly on the the lower grass.
"Come sit." She said gesturing for Serena to sit and she obeyed. The princess always has a maid which follows her everywhere.
"Vera, get us some tea and snacks." She said to the maid which she nodded and walked away.
Serena smiled, the air here was indeed really fresh, this was a place to come unwind. If the princess hadn't shown anyone this pace why was she showing her and why is she being treated like a royal person.
"Your highness, why are you showing me this and why are you acting as if we are friends, I'm not a royal just a servant the king brought here." Serena asked.
Amethyst hummed. "I guess being the only princess amongst three men becomes very boring and tiring besides, one is a cold distant person, the other is friendly and gets along with everyone while the last one is blank, I am bored and seeing you makes me excited, I can smell a good friendship from afar." She paused when the maid brought a tray which held a tea pot and two tea cups. She poured them a tea and handed it to them.
"Try it." Amethyst said with a smile, Serena nodded, she took a sip out of the cup and her eyes widen slightly, she hasn't tasted anything like it before.
"Wow, this tastes amazing what is it?" Serena asked clearly shocked.
"It's Jasmine tea, one of my favourite." Amethyst replied. "And speaking of the fact that my brother brought you here does not make you a servant, you are dressed in expensive clothes so you're definitely of importance, if he wanted you to be a servant he would have." she said.
Her words echoed in Serena's head, what am i to the king then?
"Thank you for your words your highness." Serena said bowing slightly.
Amethyst waved her hands dismissing her words. "Well it's definitely not like he brought you in to entertain him, that is impossible." she added.
"Why do you say that?" she asked, that was definitely what she thought she would be. "Most kings and high profile men take in slaves for themselves." She added.
Amethyst nodded her head. "Most kings in quote but not Alexander, he has never been in that king of relationship with any woman, never had a lover, a concubine or any sort, he likes being alone, he killed a maid for trying to get in his bed."
Serena was surprised by her words, what sort of king is he, this was definitely a first and it explains what happened last night.
"Hmm" Serena hummed digesting the new information.
"Sometimes I think he likes men cause why hasn't any female attracted him?" Amethyst whispered and Serena chuckled softly.
"I don't think his highness would be too fond of the new rumors you are spreading." A voice said startling both girls, they turned to the direction of the voice to find Arthur standing staring at both girls with an eye brow.
Amethyst stood up and so did Serena.
"Your highness, lady Serena." Arthur greated bowing his head slightly, Amethyst just folded her arms with a frown on her face while Serena bow her head.
"Come closer." Amethyst said and Arthur gave her puzzled look.
"I want to tell you something." She added. Arthur moved closer to her, he lowered himself cause of her height. Amethyst smiled before wrapping her arms around his neck putting him in a choke hold position.
"How dare you not acknowledge my presence when I waved at you in the dining hall, is the king more important than me." She said tightening her arms.
Arthur tried to get away from her grip. "We had a serious matter to attend to, forgive me so please let go." He said. Amethyst finally let go of him.
Arthur let out a shaky breath, he massage his necks. "You're getting stronger everyday your highness." He said with a thumps up
"So don't make me angry again." She warned and he nodded. Serena smiled at their little play.
