Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Arrival on Planet G-4

A few days ago,

due to the mobilization of the Human Federal Government, a large number of pioneer

soldiers from various advanced nations boarded transport ships.

The Human Federal Government had originally planned to disband and reorganize the soldiers.

However, Leon instructed them not to disrupt the troops, but rather to fight directly according to their original organization...

The implicit message was to get rid of excess personnel and retain only those with real combat effectiveness, including the commanders.

Many countries had young soldiers join their armies to hone their skills, but they served no other purpose than draining resources.

Leon envisioned that all future Imperial formations would undergo combat and then be sent to the War Academy for further training before leading the future Imperial fleet. All those gilded officers and soldiers would be dismissed.

"Puff!"

The dock opened, and Aozaki and two other soldiers emerged, clad in sci-fi tactical gear.

Their arrival immediately attracted everyone's attention.

Inside the silent transport ship, many Earth Star soldiers sitting in their seats turned to look at them.

Seeing so many eyes on the three men made them feel uneasy.

After a few seconds' pause, two men in space combat uniforms emerged from the crowd, stood before them, and saluted.

 "

Earth Star Vanguard Corps Commander, Reinhardt!"

"Earth Star Vanguard Corps-level Political Commissar, Ryan!"

The three stood a distance away, unsure how to greet each other.

"Mr. Reinhardt, they definitely don't understand Earth Star's Earth language, right?"

"Don't talk nonsense! Didn't the higher-ups say they not only understand our language, but are also fluent in all Earth languages?"

Seeing the other man fall silent, the two men whispered to each other. After

ensuring the ship's air pressure was normal, the three men removed their nanomasks one by one, revealing their handsome oriental faces.

Seeing another person with the same appearance as them, Reinhardt and Ryan were confused.

 "Aozaki."

"John."

 "..." The two of them.

By the way, are there monkeys among the alien races?

And one with a name? This...

They greeted each other, and Ryan, the political commissar, saw an opportunity to interact with a former Imperial soldier and couldn't help but strike up a conversation to gather information.

However, Grey Wind's warning made the three of them acutely aware that they must not reveal their identities as players, or even any information about the Empire!

For fear of causing trouble, they simply nodded and responded with a forced nod.

The ship, traveling at sub-light speed, soon reached orbit of planet G-4.

Following Grey Wind's instructions, they found a plateau and slowly descended.

[Warning! All soldiers, please prepare. The transport hatch will open in one minute!]

All soldiers had undergone some pre-boarding training and immediately rechecked their equipment upon hearing the warning.

This was not planet Earth. If any part of their bodies were damaged and depressurized, not to mention the heat and cold, they would die from lack of oxygen.

The three young players removed their masks and, armed with their own weapons, were the first to exit the ship.

After leaving all the soldiers behind, the transport craft slowly took off and disappeared into space.

What they saw was an endless and barren landscape, the ground covered in a thick layer of indescribable red sand.

Reinhardt and Ryan gazed enviously at the two men's equipment.

Look at their advanced equipment, then look at their own; it was simply unbearable to look at.

Although not as bulky as a spacesuit, it wasn't much better.

And this was something the nation had optimized based on alien technology.

[Warning! Satellites detect the rapid advance of the Zerg horde, expected to reach our position in half an hour!]

A warning interrupted the three novice players, who were still admiring the beauty of Planet G-4.

Master Chief Pety, the vanguard commander, immediately ordered his subordinates to begin constructing a defensive fortification.

Soon, the Earth Star soldiers, aided by heavy equipment, had completed the fortification.

Thanks to the widespread use of nuclear fusion technology and high-capacity plasma batteries, most Earth Star war machines now had a new energy source, eliminating the need for fuel, making it possible to operate on the carbon dioxide-rich planet G-4.

"My God! This sight is truly breathtaking!"

John and two others stood nearby, watching the vanguard's movements in awe.

A large number of war machines continued to advance toward the front line. Once they reached their designated positions, they crouched, their sharp barrels colliding with the front line.

Several rocket launchers lined the center of the position, slowly turning their muzzles upward.

John wasn't part of the system and didn't know its intricacies, but Aozaki and Monkey were a bit surprised. These weapons and equipment... how come they're so similar to Earth's?

"Three, the commander ordered me to move immediately to prevent any danger in the event of a battle."

Ryan naturally reported the appearance of the three men to the operational commander.

The commander assumed they might be supervisors or battlefield commanders sent by Leon. They couldn't allow any of them to get into trouble on their own territory, as humanity wouldn't be able to afford any accidents.

Ryan's words misled the three, and they immediately felt displeased.

Who was he looking down on? Would they, the players, be afraid?

Aozaki rejected Ryan's offer, emphasizing that they weren't participating in this battle; they had come to Planet G-4 on a mission assigned by the Imperial commander.

Ryan's expression froze, and he saluted solemnly before saying nothing more.

The three men spread their palms and examined several locations the system had identified as potential locations for acquiring the technology module. The nearest location was tens of kilometers from their position, and it would take a long time to reach it on foot.

So, under Aozaki's leadership, the three of them managed to acquire an armored infantry fighting vehicle from the Vanguard Squadron.

This gave them a better understanding of the mission.

Although the commander wasn't much help, the human forces seemed to be a useful invisible force in this regard.

Goodbye, Ryan.

The three of them quickly left the area in their infantry fighting vehicles before the Zerg surrounded their position.

The Zerg on G-4 were numerous, but not overwhelmingly so.

The scarcity of resources limited the Zerg's development, making it difficult for them to spread across the planet. They could only expand slowly, using specific locations as bases.

As powerful as the Zerg were, they were still living creatures, and surviving in such a harsh environment drained their energy significantly. Furthermore,

G-4 was the Death Star, requiring the Zerg to generate energy solely through photosynthesis, which severely weakened their strength. Finally,

Although G-4 isn't as large as the Blue Planet, its land area far exceeds it. Although the Zerg appear like a tidal wave, even if they were flattened, their numbers wouldn't be high per square kilometer.

If they truly covered the entire planet, humanity's war potential would be completely destroyed!
