*** the rules are simple, if you all follow it then, you can always survive to the next game, I heaved as I saw the dead bodies around me, Stella almost fainted in my arms , this can't be real?
*** Now players you all would be showed where to rest the first game starts within the next 10 hours , till then you may all settle in and rest, please walk forward to , we all walked forward till we saw a tree like house, like those ones built around a mountain or vacation please, the line on the large boards showed our names and where to enter.
*** I sat on the bed in my allocated room, it was so tiny like it looked like it had actually been measured to my size and just had the basic necessities like toiliteries, brush and uniforms , I took my bath and soon food was delivered, how it got here I didn't know , I was hungry I just ate , few minutes after eating I lay on my bed , thinking about my parents, would they miss me or not, I was just in my first year of college, and was living a normal school life, I tried retracing back to what could have landed me here but no idea came to my mind,tired I closed my eyes.
*** A large alarm almost blew my ears into two, and the door to my room opened , players it's time for the first game please make your ways back into the field, the voice repeated the same thing close to 3 times before it finally stopped.
*** I walked my way to the field and saw the rest of my team, the first game would be a race , you are to run carry one of your teammates on the back, each group must carry one of their team mates on the back for this room, any groups with odd numbers, can wait till their team comes to get them, but time is also an important factor to consider in this race, if any team member does not make it to the line , they will be deducted a total number of 45 points, remember when your points gets to zero, you are eliminated from the game.
***Our team heaved a sigh of relief, luckily we made the right choice concerning the total number of team members, soon the timer was set, to 15 minutes, and we watched as outstretched lines ran round the field , we gauged our selves, and decided to know which of us were more athletic than the other, I was a good runner so it wasn't a problem for me, but carrying someone I wasn't so confident with that, Dan proposed to carry Stella.
*** Voltage to carry mia, Clark to carry Sandra, Ethan to carry snow, Francis to carry mike, and I to carry a.j, since he has a smaller build for a man, the time was already ticking and the distance to cover was long, the voice came again, you must not stop for more than two minutes to rest , else you and the person you are carrying would be eliminated.
*** These was becoming more absurd, we all got to Carry our assigned teammates and the race began, I ran with a.j on my back, you might be asking why he wasn't the one carrying me since he was a man , but he had earlier explained he wasn't a good runner, and I wouldn't want to be taking chances since these too , was involving my life, I ran with him and 5 minutes into the race I was already tired, I looked back , at least had passed a good number of people, as soon were still a bit far behind, remembering i was racing against time, I tried increasing my speed even though my knees were killing me, I ran and a j kept apologizing for not been able to man up to the task.
*** 5 minutes to countdown, the system came, I was already tired , but soon I could see the green line we had to cross , but it was still far from my sight , I had to rest if I didn't stop I would definitely be getting a muscle pull, as I stopped to catch my breath , I could see the others desperately run pass me, catching my breath I resumed the run, someone fainted and it was the person carrying his teammate , not stopping I heard the gunshot fire out , and didn't need anybody to tell me what happened, not wanting to die it fueled my motivation to run faster, a minute to the countdown the system came again and I ran faster shouting hysterically, I wasn't going to die at least not on the the first game, 10, 9,, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, I finally crossed the Line dumping AJ on the ground without minding how he landed, 2, 1, and I heard gunshots fired and the rest of the bodies on the filed dropped , remembering my team I looked. For them and luckily they made it , I couldn't be more relieved.
