SELENE
"…Look. I am sorry. I ran out of options. I pinched your nose. I am contemplating to slap you. I tried waking you up gently but you would not even budge." Soren said as she tried to catch up to me.
I am power walking right now.
We did get to school on time as I rush showering and preparing for school, then luckily by the time we get to the teleporter one block away just near the bakery - we are the only one left. We walk into the entrance and was given a pamphlet and they gave us direction for the orientation area.
As we walk, with other students old and new in the rainbow bridge, I was at awed by the view. Even Soren for a bit. The town beneath our school – the Crimson Moon Town and the famous lagoon.
Arcana East University. Connecting. Assuring. And Protecting.
"Hey, again, I am sorry." Soren whispers just below my ear again, as she finally caught up to me. Just like how the first day I met her, when she wanted to put the owner in speaker.
The sensation of someone breathing….and biting you in your most sensitive spot makes me – damn this blonde muscle freak. If I kept thinking about it, I can't help to be so embarrassed about it.
"And one of your option is biting me?" I said, not looking back. "And stop breathing near my ear!"
"Oh…?" And she blew air right into it. This pesky roommate.
"Ahhh…." As soon as it escapes my mouth I immediately suppress that kind of sound. I feel embarrassed now. Thank god, it's just the two of us who hears it. I turned to her to smack her in the head but it made me blush more when she is also beet red by my reaction.
"..."
"Did you just..."
"Yes, so stop." I said. "And stop blushing too."
"Yes. I'll stop now. And sorry." She said, still face red. "Look, if I had to do that again" she started, I stared begrudgingly at her "The biting part, Selene. I would do that again… Hmm..Okay that sounds worse. But please get my point."
"Look, it's fine – it's my fault for sleeping in my alarm anyway and you were just trying to help."
"Just desperate time – that's why I bit you. I just didn't know you get turned on by that."
"Ahhh Shut it.…I feel so embarrassed." I stop on my track and look at her. "I am sensitive with my ears okay? So, please don't do that again."
"..." She stared. "Your reaction is so cute though." And then she smirks at me. "But fine… I won't do it again. Unless for desperate measures."
"…." I stared. She kept smirking. I kept turning red.
"Now, come on, let's get to the orientation area. Can I grab your hand though?" Asked Soren.
"Okay. But why?" I asked back.
"Because we are going to be late, and you kept zoning out at every opportunity." She said. She motioned on my hand. And I also grab her hand and…. We started to run in the orientation area.
I though Arcana University had this grand orientation setup. Mostly because they are advertising as an elite school for the gifted. But honestly, even if I went to a normal university – it was just the same. Like what my high school looks like. The only difference is, there are lots of fireworks, magic fireworks for some reason. Speaking of I've seen some familiar faces.
Some principal would try to motivate the freshmen – with blah blah blah blah. Same old things that somehow has this fake effect on people. But it never changes a thing. Like the town folks in Ives. How boring. The speech is still ongoing when I tried scanning things in my vicinity. Soren, I think is trying to listen, but I think she is bored too. The way her eyelids tried to stay focus but she wanted to sleep. And here I thought she is a studious type, with her mannerism and all.
Banners of each trade are decorated in the gymnasium. The Creators divided by Arts and Technic, Manipulators, divided by their elements, Enhancers, Healers and some new trades I don't know much. Each banners had this representative beneath it. Maybe each other's deans.
The speech finally came to finish and Soren and I parted ways to tour each of our own trades in a designated group.
"See you later Smurf! You did bring the key though did you?" She said. I motioned yes… but now, I am not so sure. That would be my problem a 'lil later.
"Yeah yeah." I said. "Don't miss me too much, Goldy." And waved at her. And finally joined my group for the tour.
Soren went with the enhancers trade and just smirk on me and wave back. They went to the left side of the building. Our dean, started to guide us in the right side and started to introduce the importance of creators in Arcanum. My ass listened half-heartedly. I am just enjoying the scenic view we came across. Although I find the orientation boring, the scenes and architecture of the whole school itself is marvelous.

"Selene?" Someone behind me tap my shoulder.
"…. Yes?" I turned back. A long black haired guy in his leather jacket even though it's hot in here and piercing stared at me. And it clicks. This is the familiar face I had seen earlier. "Cage?"
"Oh wow, this is a surprise. I thought you are going to Bureau of Mages in the West?" Cage said.
"Well, turns out Arcana East is the only one that offers the sculpting class of the ancient I was so interested about." I said, also surprised to find Cage here. His parents are wealthy enough I guess. I just scramble on scholarship here. Well at least, Soren would not be the only one I know here. And we are not even friends… yet?
"I heard you talk about that during one of our mock battle classes." He said. "I didn't see you in the dorm registry though?"
"Oh why, are Mayo and Yor here too?" I asked. Remembering them as a trio of some sort.
"Yeah, they both register the same day I did." He said.
"Well, I'm too broke to have a register for one you know. I also need to get a part time job to be able to attend for most of the year." I said. Well, Cage knows my predicaments back in Ives.
"I notice that too when registering, the dorms were hella expensive. I think my dad just find ways to get a discount. Well, if you do need a job I had one for you."
"Really?" I asked curiously.
"Yeah, it's a café in the Crimson Moon Town. Just text me your info later, I'll forward it to my Aunt."
"Thanks Cage, you are a saver." I said.
"Anyways, knowing you Selene – did you already met someone here? Find someone cute?" Cage asked as he wiggles his eyebrows. This guy and his love for everything romantic.
"N-no. Just my roommate though." I said. "Besides you know me, I am not interested in finding someone cute." I said.
"Yeah your type is pretty and handsome. I remember." He said teasing me.
"..." I blushed, just remembering's Goldy's face and the way she whispered just below my ear.
"Oh I hit the spot, didn't I. Was your roommate pretty or handsome?" He said, as he kept teasing me.
"Y-yes and shut it. I am not interested in her." I said defensively. Sure Soren is pretty and all. But she might already be in a relationship already. She does give a feeling the she swings both ways but there is no chance she would be interested in someone plain like me.
"So it's a her huh." Cage said already laughing. "Fine, fine… I'll stop teasing you.
Just as our Dean is still talking about specific things and pointing at our supposed building, Cage teasing me, fellow creators who found someone else to talk to while walking – a sudden scream from a crowd can be heard.
"So… If you memorize the buildings for the supposed classes that would be in your schedule – you could watch the mock battle in the open field for your liking. We do that twice a month at best in our schedule. Today, though – we had some mentees challenging a freshman from the enhancer trade for a mock battle. Though I heard a rumor that freshman scored highly in the global rating. So, why don't you guys enjoy the show? This happens quite rarely." Our dean said as he gestures as to go to the open field and seat on the upcoming event.
Cage and I exchanged a look and just do that.
And to my surprise the one being challenged was none other than my roommate, Soren.
