Chapter 221: Alchemical Inheritance
One by one, wizard-kuns appeared in this place.
They seemed unable to wait, rushing toward the trunk of the tree. Inside the cavities beneath the tree lay one alchemical creation after another.
As Sean-kun drew closer, he saw that the trunk was encircled by an Ouroboros, with various animals engraved along the edges.
The Kabbalah Tree of Life, the sacred tree where the "mysterious causal relationships of the universe" can be seen in the Book of Creation.
The Ouroboros, a symbol of Gnosticism and Hermeticism, is interpreted in magic as eternal cyclic renewal—the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth.

Professor Terra explained this calmly to Sean-kun before gently nudging him toward the various alchemical creations.
Sean-kun looked on silently. Countless alchemical objects appeared like stones in a long river. He saw Two-Way Mirrors, Vanishing Cabinets, Portkeys, Pensieves, Invisibility Cloaks... He even spotted Floo Powder and a miniature Knight Bus.
A Knight Bus?!
Sean-kun was slightly surprised. He wondered why the alchemists didn't just put Hogwarts Castle in there as well. The castle itself was an incredibly extraordinary alchemical creation.
In front of Sean-kun, beneath every alchemical object, there were books shrouded in a soft white light.
Nearby, an old wizard and a wizard-kun were conversing. They were close enough that Sean-kun could just catch their voices.
"This is the one—"
"You won't reconsider?"
"Of course not. We only have half an hour. You taught me that hesitation leads to defeat."
Then Sean-kun watched as the wizard-kun's invitation transformed into a golden key. A complex alchemical object, unknown to Sean-kun, floated out of the cavity.
This was clearly an inheritance ritual. Every young alchemist could choose one alchemical creation here, and those books were likely the process analysis for the creation.
So, what should he choose?
Even Floo Powder was here. Logically, the inventor and manufacturer of that substance were kept strictly confidential.
As he walked, Sean-kun saw a section bearing Dumbledore's name. He focused his gaze and was immediately intrigued. It contained research on Ancient Runes regarding cross-species Transfiguration and even conjectures on certain principles of Transfiguration.
If he wanted to directly apply the Magical Creature Transfiguration Biscuits to standard Transfiguration, this would be an excellent choice.
Without hesitation, Sean-kun's invitation also transformed into a key. As he returned with his prize, he couldn't help but look at the inscription again:

The words had glowed for a moment earlier, and he felt a faint sensation as if a contract had been established.
Professor Terra's voice rang out at the right moment:
"Ancient alchemists believed that after the world soul or prima materia interacted with the four elements, a final element emerged. It is called the Fifth Element. With the completion of the Philosopher's Stone, this Fifth Element also manifests. It is also known as Aether, a substance that never changes and never decays. In the concepts of ancient wizards, the planets were composed of it."
"If you look closely, you will see that the surroundings are dark, the cavities storing the creations are pure white, and your key—that invitation—is golden... So, what about the reddening... my apprentice?"
Sean-kun thought for a few seconds and replied:
"The symbol of Rubedo is a rooster fed with one's own blood. The blood flowing through a wizard's body is the final step of the covenant."

The Great Hall of the Symposium
The covenant was indeed finalized. Professor Terra spoke without burden:
"Alchemists are wise. Equivalent exchange is the principle they believe in. You have received an inheritance, so you must show the future you represent... but it is merely a showing. Come, the exchange meeting is starting, my apprentice—"
After another Apparition, Sean-kun and the Professor returned to the place where they had started. Professor Terra knelt down, took the Animal Party Series from Sean-kun's hands, and said with an uplifted posture:
"Show those old fellows that a new era has arrived—"
She then vanished from the spot.
At that moment, the deep and dark stone walls were completely illuminated. Sean-kun realized they were located inside some massive castle structure.
This was the Banquet Hall.
Most of the wizards were here, gathered primarily according to their nationalities. The British wizards mostly wore old, low-profile, plain-colored robes and pointed hats—like Dumbledore's magnificent purple robes or McGonagall's green ones.
In contrast, the Nordic wizards wore heavy fur cloaks to withstand the bitter cold. They were tall with light-colored hair. The wizards from Uagadou in Africa were vibrant, wearing light, bright-colored robes and jewelry made of feathers and bone.
There were also some powerful-looking elders and middle-aged men in silk garments, standing with their hands behind their backs, exuding a faint air of solemnity and nobility.
Sean-kun noticed the special guests—the seven wizards sitting at the high table with Master Flamel and Dumbledore. Professor Terra was among them. When she stepped forward, they vanished from their seats.
House-elves with trays scurried everywhere. A massive long table had risen in the center, piled with food from all over the world. Sean-kun even spotted Chinese cuisine. This made Sean-kun's eyes light up.
Unfortunately, the banquet did not last long. Dumbledore walked slowly toward the area beneath the mirror. All the wizards had returned, gazing at the figure appearing once more in the mirror—Albus Dumbledore.
"The Youth and Teen Alchemist Exchange Meeting begins."
Dumbledore finished his announcement and winked at Sean-kun. The surrounding alchemists offered polite and elegant applause.
"After a brief screening, the Joint Committee of the International Alchemical Symposium has evaluated the creations provided by our young talents..."
Sean-kun realized then that the wizards at the high table had been evaluating their creations. He thought of his Magical Creature Biscuit series that the Professor had taken earlier.
"Let us congratulate—the first one—"
As if guided by something, a pair of calm, emotionless green eyes naturally appeared on the largest mirror.
"Recognized by the Joint Committee of the International Alchemical Symposium as the most gifted alchemist in six hundred years, the youngest member of the International Alchemical Symposium, and winner of the Udala Gold Award for Pioneering Contribution—the alchemist from Hogwarts—Mr. Sean-kun Green—"
