Chapter 4 - Error_6

" What do u mean" Akira said his eyes narrowed focused on Maria. His mind racing with questions.

" I want the device in which you possess, and I am here to retrieve it"

Akira trembled, his mind unclear of Maria's true intentions.

" Are you an alien? "  He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Maria's expression was unreadable, but Akira could sense a hint of amusement.

" What makes you ask that? " she replied, her tone was mutual.

Akira hesitated, unsure of how to set his question.

" I was just wondering the circuit system is not from this world, so are you"

Maria's smile grew wider as she nodded.

" Circuit system, I guess that's what the arkive is translated as in this world"

" Yes, I'm an alien"

Akira's mind reeled as he processed the information. Alien technology ?, an extraterrestrial ?, He felt like he was living in a science fiction movie.

" I am a Kyren, an alien species," she said, her voice with an otherworldly tone.

" And I've been searching for you"

Akira's mind reeled as Maria's body began to shift, elongated tentacles sprouted from her back and shoulders. Akira's couldn't belief his eyes, he was in complete shock. Maria's eyes turning into black voids.

" You should have handed it over, you could have stayed out of this" Maria said

"But it's too late you got me all pissed"

Akira tried to run, but she was too fast. she grabbed him, her tentacles wrapping around his waist. Akira struggled, but Maria's grip was super strong.

" System help me! " Akira shouted, desperate.

[ Error... Error_6 … Rebooting...  : System lockdown ]

Akira's eyes widened as the system's voice trailed off. Error?, Why ?, what did it mean?

Maria's tentacles tightened around him, squeezing the air out of his lungs. Akira knew he was fast to act. He used all his strength to break free, but Maria was too powerful.

She slammed him to the ground, her tentacles pinning him down. Akira's vision began to blur as Maria's face loomed over him, her black void like eyes staring at him.

Akira knew he had to think fast. He remembered the system's energy coursing through his veins. Maybe he could use it to fight back. He focused all his energy, feeling its surge through him.

With a burst of strength, Akira broke free from Maria's grip. He launched himself at her, his fists flying. Maria was caught off guard, and Akira landed a solid punch to her jaw.

The two of them clashed, punches and kicks flying. Maria's tentacles lashed out, but Akira dodged and weaved, using every ounce of skill he possessed. The fight was intense, with both of them giving it their all.

Akira's landed a kick to Maria's stomach, but she absorbed the blow, her body rippling like a living living thing. Maria retaliated with a swipe of her tentacles but Akira ducked just in time.

The battle raged on, the two of them exchanging blows. Akira's breathing grew ragged, but he refused to give up. He knew he had to give up fighting because he could die on the spot.

Just while it seemed like Maria was gaining the upper hand, Akira landed a lucky blow, striking her right. Maria stumbled back, giving Akira the opportunity to make a run for it.

He sprinted down, Marias anger roar echoing behind him. Akira didn't dare look back, fearing what he might see.

As he ran, the system's voice crackled back to life.

[ System online... Error_6 cleared..]

 [ Rebooting complete]

Akira didn't care about the system's issues. He just wanted to get away from Maria. He knew he had to find a way to stop them, but for now, be just had to survive.

The streets blurred together as Akira ran, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew Maria was still after him, and he had to keep moving.

But where could he go?, and who could he trust?

Akira's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps behind him. Maria was gaining on him. Maria was gaining on him. Akira picked up speed, his pumping as he sprinted through the streets. He knew he couldn't outrun her forever. He needed a plan, and he needed it fast.

As he turned a corner, Akira spotted a narrow alleyway between two buildings. Without hesitation, he darted into the alley, hoping to lose Maria in the narrow passageway.

The alley was dark and narrow, the walls towering above him. Akira's breathing was ragged as he leaned against the wall, trying to catch his breath.

But before he knew he couldn't stay there for long. Maria would find him. Akira took a deep breath and continued down the alley looking for a way out.

Akira took a deep breath ,As he reached the end of the alley, Akira saw a glimmer of light. It was a small door, partially hidden by a dumpster. Akira didn't hesitate. He sprinted towards the door and slipped inside, closing it behind him just as Maria appeared at the entrance of the alley.

Akira leaned against the door, his heart pounding in his chest. He had managed to evade Maria, but for how long?. He knew he had to keep moving, to find a way to stop the the Kyren and Maria.

But for now, all he had to do was to survive.

The room Akira found himself in was small and dimly lit. There was a single chair in the center of the room, and a small table against one wall. Akira's eyes adjusted to the light eventually, and he saw that the room was some sort of storage room.

He knew he couldn't stay there forever. Maria would eventually find him. Akira's mind began to race with thoughts of escape and survival.

As he stood there, trying to catch his breath, Akira heard a faint noise coming from the wall. it was a low humming sound, and it was getting closer and closer and louder each minute.

Suddenly a wall slid open, revealing a hidden panel. A figure stepped out of the shadows, and Akira's eyes widened...
