The events in Uphill came to an end as Yanga and Kai were roaming the streets of Middletown heading for the port, Kai had unfinished business he needed to clear up before leaving the Island.
The two visited the Blue Whale guild as Kai requested to Yanga where things turned out violent,it turned out Paul was not the actual leader but a frontal face of the guild.
Kai and the real guild master finally settled down and came up to an agree that was beneficial to both parties.
Asa was left back to her village after she and Kai said their good byes to one another."By any chance you ever come back don't forget to come see me." She said kissing him in his cheek, Kai said nothing but nodded with a smile. "You will be the first person I'll visit." He later said.
At Middletown he visited the Cash exchange merchant guild, a guild he usually done business with all the time. He personally delivered the last package he had promised and had a conversation with the leader about his absence for the time being.
"So that Asa girl, tell me about her...is she seeing someone ?." Yanga asked.
Kai looked at him with a serious expression "Why you wanna that ? He then replied with his own question. "I don't really...I'm.. just tryna make a conversation." Yanga tried to play it off with such response.
" How about you tell me more about this plan of yours instead, Where are we headed and why ?."
Kai changed the conversation entirely as they walked down the road Yanga explained to Kai his plan to start his own independent party and in order to register to do so he needed five members.
Yanga continued with his explanation and told him about how he already had three people in mind including Kai, afterwards he'll recruit one last person randomly and head to the Migalo Hunter's HQ.
As for the resources he already acquired a copy map of some unexplored hidden dungeon, and he had hoped to at least have three people by his side for assistance in getting the treasures inside.
Kai was somewhat impressed as Yanga kept exceeding his expections, to be these much prepared was not something he thought Yanga would be.
" It seems like you have it all figured out, tell me what happens when all does not go as you had planned...what then ?" Kai asked.
Yanga then remained silent for a while before saying "Then I'll become your servant as per our agreement for a month after, I'll join up another guild as see where life takes me."
Out of curiosity Kai wanted to know and asked why Yanga was he not doing the same thing now and how he got to acquire such information that isn't easily accessible, He also wanted to know about the adventures Yanga had before now to be able to easily clear dozens of C ranks in such less time.
The two chatted till they arrived in the area they were headed. In response to some of Kai's question was that he had been a part of a guild before but he left out of his own will to chase something new.
As they we deep in their convo an old fisher man whom recognized Yanga's face from earlier called out to him with some news. " What are your sure it was her ?." Yanga shouted out the old fisher man responded " Yes !, I saw five man dragging her in their ship before heading that direction."The man pointed east.
Yanga looking around spotted the boat he came in with earlier and that served as confirmation that there might be some truth to the old man's words, not that he had anything to gain for lying to him in the first place.
In the dark Kai asked what was going on as Yanga responded " Ill explain on the way, but for now we will make a little detour."
The two sailed on the boat Yanga had previously gave to Melissa.
"So you met this girl that you rescued from a shipwreck that she claimed to have been caught up in a storm but you believe she was actually attacked by maybe the same pirates ? and now she was taken by these pirates to Orange town, where she said she ran away from and after she refused to tell you anything about her you proceed on this "rescue mission" ?" Kai tried to process this, confused and bewildered by Yanga's seemingly foolishness.
" One thing that hunters always relied on during life or death scenarios is our sharp instincts. It's part of our daily training to sharpen all our six senses and one of that which is above all greater is our instinct to tell when there's danger. I can always feel and tell when something doesn't add up or makes any sense. I was on my way to the bus stop I made a quick phone call to one of my former colleagues to do some digging about her based on every tiny infor she gave to me, and this is what I got...Yanga threw his smart communication device at him.
The device showed all of the information regarding Melissa about who she was and where she came from, an Eighteen year old private investigator that graduated at the Migalo's Military academy, she dealt with investigating corrupt businesses and politicians in hopes of getting rid of corruption by exposing all their corrupt activities. fifteen cases had been won so far thanks to her investigative skills.
" Fifteen cases that's an incredibly impressive record.I gotta say you hunters do have some terrifying skill to dig up someones history based on name and looks." Kai said throwing the device back.
Yanga tells him as he catches the device that they can do so even with such a small detail as a grasp of a single strand of heir, he then gave a cocky smirks.
" So... is she one of the remaining two of the so called "three" your after ?." Kai asked folding his arms together in which Yanga responded " Nah !,But if she is interested she might very well be capable of filling the "last person" role then I'm good to go, but then... wouldn't that make her the second person ?. He said then shrugs it off.
They sail back to the mainland.
On the other side the Pirate ship that was described by the fisherman is seen hidden away from the port near Rose Town.
The captain of the ship requested Melissa to be taken out of the rig as he was gonna personally escort her by boat to the port, the was waiting van for them which will take them to Rose Town.
" How long do you think "he'll" be able to keep you safe until the authority finds you ?" Melissa asked the Captain.
He pulled the rope tying her arms tightly and led her to the direction of the boat. " As soon as I deliver you to "Him" I believe he'll honour our deal, after that I'll disappear." He said responding to her.
They got on the boat and sailed to the shore, on arrival they were met by a bunch of men whom escorted them to the van. The surrounding people witnessing the crowd of men thought to themselves maybe she was a big celebrity or a daughter of someone great family as they could not see the tied up arms from a far.
This seemed a greater opportunity for her to yell for help or create enough distraction to attempt an escape but she never did.
She knew better than everyone making that mistake meant causing harm to innocent people.
They grove for half an hour to reach Rose Town whilst on the other hand Yanga and Kai whom finally reached their destination boarded the pirate ship.
The two had a very violent altercation with the crew members and ended up interrogating them, Yanga tortured the information out of them.
At some time later Yanga had information about the man behind the scenes. The new mayor of Rose Town, Moors aged 35. Moors a six and half feet tall, light skinned with a slim body. Starting his carrier as a corrupt business man , his political influence expanded through his networking with people in high places. Previously he was a club owner who dealt with money laundering and drug trafficking, a lot of people in high places found his fundings very useful.
In Orange town escorted by Captain Orlando and the hired security , Melissa was taken to a construction site to one of the demolished buildings in the area where they are met by four vehicles and three armoured trucks. a man wearing all black suit and tie came out on one of the armoured trucks.
