Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: First Day on the New Continent

After defeating Ayla, the strongest sword master in the city, Ayzek gained permission to enter the city with Lukas nodding his approval. Lukas immediately went to look for a guild, while Ayzek wandered through the streets. The outskirts of the city were filled with poverty; houses were in ruins and looked like shacks. As he moved toward the inner areas, he noticed the luxurious life of the nobles.

With his 21st-century mindset, Ayzek found this situation quite unpleasant. However, he was no stranger to such inequalities while playing as Aras; in some regions, the common people lived in poverty while priests and nobles thrived. This city seemed to worship the water god Ocearos, yet Ayzek realized the deity did not give special bonuses to its followers. The streets smelled of dampness.

He noticed two people standing in front of a house. With his enhanced senses, he saw one coughing violently and the other, despite being sick, helping their companion. Ayzek's healing ability only worked for himself and those of his bloodline; he had no medical knowledge to properly aid others.

He then moved toward the area where middle-class citizens and adventurers lived. He looked like a young boy, not yet twenty, with red hair. The 170 cm sword on his back caught everyone's attention. It was a weapon even a normal human could not lift. Those who understood weapons were astonished. Ayzek noticed the gazes but didn't care; his charisma was extremely high, having once ruled a continent.

SYSTEM:"AYZEK, A GUILD REGISTRATION QUEST HAS BEEN ASSIGNED. SUCCESS WILL GRANT 100 EXPERIENCE POINTS. FAILURE WILL RESULT IN -1 RELATIONSHIP WITH THE GUILD MASTER."

At the guild reception, a young woman named Lara greeted him.

"Welcome. What brings you to the guild?"

"I wish to register for the guild," Ayzek introduced himself.

"To join, you must either pay a registration fee or complete a task," Lara said.

"What is the task?" Ayzek asked.

The crowd assumed he was wealthy, but Ayzek had no need for money. The task was to hunt goblins. Lara gave him an iron plate carved with a winged dragon knight and spear—the legacy of the first adventurer, Delan. Delan had killed a dragon, crafted armor from its wings and bones, and gained semi-immortality from the dragon's blood, surviving 420 years without dying.

Ayzek considered his own weapons and armor weak. His main sword was the 4th-tier Adak Sword, which was not sufficient. He wanted at least a 6th-tier or legendary 5th-tier weapon. Legendary status was only granted to weapons that had united with a star, making them comparable in strength to 9th-tier weapons.

While exploring the city, he noticed a blacksmith shop. A 3rd-tier weapon was displayed outside, and many similar weapons were inside. Ayzek entered, and the doorbell rang twice as the door opened and closed.

The blacksmith didn't come out; his son, Ulf, appeared instead.

"I am Ulf. May I ask why you have come to the Ak Yazıt Blacksmith Shop?"

"I want to sell my 3rd-tier three-headed spear and have a new spear made from the materials I brought," Ayzek replied.

Ulf suspected that the boy possessed "Lower Space" abilities. The appearing spear was proof of this.

Testing the value, Ulf said it would be worth 39 silver coins—a huge sum, considering one silver could cover a family's three-year expenses.

Ayzek displayed additional materials: 2nd-tier blood steel made from semi-god Ghidorah's blood, ingots made from the water lord Kharun's blood, and Vaz timber from a special flower grown near a volcano. The Ghidorah steel had red and yellow veins emitting a warm light; Kharun's steel had blue and yellow veins with minor electrical discharges. Vaz timber was highly resistant to fire and cold.

Ulf immediately called his father, Ur. The elderly dwarf, with 80 years of blacksmith experience, was astonished.

"Where did you get these?" Ur asked.

"They are insignificant to me," Ayzek said. "I just want a proper spear—able to be thrown but also stab, versatile in combat."

Ur asked how Ayzek knew the materials wouldn't be stolen.

"I have far more than this," Ayzek replied. "Even just the blood steel alone could fill three city blocks—and it wouldn't run out."

Ur accepted the materials to craft and test weapons, and Ayzek left the city, heading toward the direction where goblins had attacked him before.

A group of seven hobgoblins appeared. They were disciplined and attacked systematically, wielding swords made from bones and human remains, inheriting some combat skills from their victims.

SYSTEM:"WARNING, AYZEK. HOBGOBLINS AVERAGE STRENGTH: 90 KG. ATTACK STRATEGY: SYSTEMATIC STRIKE. PREPARE."

The first hobgoblin attacked with a broken sword. Ayzek blocked it with his own sword, breaking the enemy's weapon. He then swung with both hands, striking the hobgoblin's head from above, cleaving it in half.

Hobgoblins were humanoid, averaging 90 kg. Ayzek easily defeated the others, taking their ears along with their bodies as proof. The goblin-hunting task for the guild was now successfully completed.
