Tyler's POV
I knew exactly what Raven was doing. She was using me—there was no doubt about it. I wasn't blind.I was just her shield—a temporary solution to keep her safe from the bullies, the perfect cover. But the crazy thing was, I didn't care. In fact, I was happy she thought of me like that. I was her shield, right? It meant she was thinking of me, right? At least, that's what I kept telling myself. Damn, I had it bad. But what could I say? I was already deep into this, and I wasn't backing out now. I had a shot at being close to her, at being someone she could rely on. Maybe I was a fool, but I liked being the one she came to.
