Yun Si rolled her eyes so dramatically I thought they might get stuck. "Please. Even if he wanted to bribe me, he can't. I'm just speaking facts."
"Is that so?"
She crossed her arms and snorted lightly. "Yes. I'm praising him because I don't want you to lose a good man like him."
Her expression shifted, and though her tone remained half-joking, there was a trace of seriousness beneath it.
"You were blind once," she said bluntly. "You married Mo Yuzhen in your past life and suffered for it. I don't want that same disease of poor judgment to fall on you again in this life."
I puffed my cheeks in mock offense. "Disease? That's harsh, Sisi."
"It's accurate," she shot back without hesitation. "You were practically handing your heart to a wolf and calling it love."
I huffed, but I didn't argue further. Because she wasn't entirely wrong.
