Chapter 5 - Can you do it or not?

I leaned closer into the man's arms, feeling the chill of his body somewhat calming the fire raging through my veins. Every heartbeat throbbed like it wanted to burst free.

At this point, looking for a doctor was useless—I didn't care anymore. I wanted him all, I wanted him now.

"Hmm… aren't you going to say something, Miss?" His voice was smooth, teasing, and somehow dangerous.

"Hot…" I breathed, my lips barely above a whisper, trying to focus on him.

But everything around me was blurry. All I could see was a blurry figure in a dashing suit. He had a pleasant smell of cedar and wood and was quite well built.

As long as he wasn't Mo Yuzhen, it didn't matter.

"Huh? What did you just say?" he asked, leaning closer, his breath brushing the side of my face.

"Hot..." I whispered again, twisting and turning in his arms.

My fingers itched to trace the lines of his shoulders, the strong curve of his chest. Behind him, the bed called to me like a temptation. All I wanted was to push him onto it, tear off his clothes, and claim him.

The man chuckled, "Thanks for the compliment."

I froze for a second.

Was he serious? When did I compliment him? I couldn't even see him clearly. Moreover, was he blind? Could he not see I was drugged and burning with desire? Could he not feel how I writhed in his arms like a snake?

I had enough of waiting. Any longer, and I would go crazy. My body ached for more; every cell inside of me was on fire.

Since he wasn't reading my signs, I would take the lead. I reached forward to his shirt and pulled hard, once… twice… thrice… but the buttons refused to open.

Frustrated, I abandoned the buttons and let my hands roam upward. My lips followed instinctively, trying to kiss his neck; however, he pulled back.

He caught my hands, holding them firmly. "Miss, no matter how hot I am, you need to control yourself," he teased, "I don't sleep on the first meeting."

"Don't worry, I will pay you handsomely," I whispered, reaching for his lips again, letting my fingers slide along his chest.

My mind was hazy, my body a burning mess, and the only thing I knew was that this man was the only one who could quench the fire raging inside me.

"Pay me?" the man chuckled, dark and intrigued. "What do you think… wait, are you drugged?"

"Otherwise?" I faintly mocked, pressing my lips against his throat, my fingers clutching him like a lifeline.

He tried to push away, but I held on tightly, leaving a trail of heated kisses wherever I could. He grabbed my wrists, holding them with surprising strength, and sighed, "Miss, do you want me to call a doctor?"

I snapped, frustration and desire mingling in my voice. "Can you do it or not?"

For a long moment, he didn't respond. Then, suddenly, his grip on my waist tightened, and I heard the sound of a door being shut. I felt myself lifted effortlessly and thrown onto the big bed behind me.

The soft sheets felt cool against my skin, but his body pressed over mine, and suddenly everything else disappeared.

A shiver ran down my spine as his voice whispered in my ear, smooth and cold: "Tell me in the morning whether I can do it or not."

And then, he moved.

Everywhere he touched came alive. I moaned as his lips crashed into mine. I felt his hands roaming all over my body, touching, caressing, and pinching.

"Why are you so soft?" he whispered, but I was too far gone to hear.

I grabbed his neck, pulling him closer. Our chests collided, my breath hitching. Just as I was about to kiss him, he whispered in my ear, "Remember to scream my name.... Su Ye."

His voice carried a magnetic pull, and I found myself nodding to his words. Soon, the clothes came off, and everything else melted away, leaving only one thing in my mind: screaming his name.

Su Ye.

The next morning, I felt something shift beside me. My head throbbed as if someone were hammering nails into it, and my body ached like I'd been run over by a truck.

I didn't want to move. I didn't want to do anything but sleep. But whatever was next to me kept moving.

"Stop moving…" I groaned, turning my face to the other side.

A low chuckle followed, and then I felt someone take my hand, doing something I was far too sleepy—and far too sore—to care about.

When I finally woke up, I blinked several times, disoriented. The room was unfamiliar. I pushed myself up, only to realize I was completely naked under the covers.

Huh?

What… what happened last night?

I frowned as flashes returned in fragments— the betrayal, being pushed off the roof, going back in time, the drug… Oh right. I slept with a man last night.

No wonder I felt like a truck had flattened me.

One glance around the room told me enough—the disheveled sheets, the faint scent of sweat and cologne, the way my body still ached in all the wrong (and right) places.

Whoever that stranger was, he'd been… good.

Very good.

Even Mo Yuzhen had never managed to leave me this exhausted. I stretched my sore arms, ready to grab my clothes from the floor, when a calm, teasing voice broke the silence.

"Good morning, Mrs. Su."

I froze and slowly turned my head.

My eyes went wide when I saw a devastatingly handsome man in a crisp black suit, watching me with a calm smile that made my heart skip a beat. I blinked at him, then down at my naked body, and back up again.

"Ahhhh!!! P-Pervert!" I shrieked, yanking the sheets up to cover myself.

"Pervert?" His lips curved into an amused smirk, clearly entertained, "That's quite the way to greet your husband on the first morning of our marriage. And why are you hiding? Which part of you did I not see... or should I say enjoy, last night?"
