Everything around me was inside water, the buildings, streets even the sky was submerged in water or it felt like it has.I looked around me but didn't saw anyone else, I turned my head to look below me and I saw darkness utter darkness like a bottomless pit. It somehow reminded me of how all those people got blasted into bits back in the hospital, I turned my eyes away cause my instincts said looking at it further would be no good "I need to get out of here, but where am I?" I said to myself or I thought, my mouth was moving but there was no sound coming from my throat yet I could still hear my own voice in my ears, I was breathing normally even though I was deep inside some ocean.I checked my watch to see if it was working but it wasn't even turning on, now that I pay closer attention the city here is not the one I am familiar with, sure it has some skyscrapers and densely packed buildings but the design and structures reminds me of a picture I saw somewhere on my history class "What was this place?" I asked to myself, there ain't even a single fish or any aquatic plants neither. Everything about this whole situation doesn't make any sense whatsoever, I need to find a solution and figure out what exactly is happening, 'Am I just hallucinating it all or is everything that's happening real' . As I was trying to figure it out in mind I felt a tingling sensation which made me jolt "What the, was that a fucking current?". I looked around with my eyes but couldn't find anything weird than this weirder situation 'I must have imagined it' I concluded, 'I need to think of something and quick.... Think Meryl Think! What can we do in such situations?' I asked again to myself hoping my own inner monologue can somehow figure out everything. After some not so great self talking I came up with a plan "Stay Calm - Analyse - Find an escape route", analysing my surroundings is one thing but trying to stay calm was something I can't hope to achieve right now. "Sigh*... Lets start with some basics, lets see.. Question 1 : Can I swim here?" I looked around to find a building many meters away parallel to me and took it as my reference point. I took a big breath even though I wasn't sure if I was even breathing normally, I steeled my mind and tried to swim towards the city that was above me. I swam for a solid five minutes but it didn't looked like I was making any progress but I also didn't felt tired either, "So answer to question 1 is NO!... Sigh*". 'If I can't swim in here that means I can't navigate this place either', I closed my eyes and started think of any other way I can move around in here.
My hopes for getting out of this place was getting dragged into a hole with every options that came to my mind seemed useless and thus it made me come to a conclusion "It seems like I really am stuck in here.. If I knew shit like this was about to happen I would have atleast told everything to Liam and the others" I said to myself as if that would fix everything. I don't know why but maybe out of curiosity I decided to look down at the darkness below me and to my surprise it seemed closer to me than before "Wait it wasn't this close before" I panicked and the urge to puke came back again just from looking at it but I held it away from my thoughts for now. 'No way.. all this time was I falling into this thing?' I needed to know what was going on and looked to find the same building I was using as my reference point. I locked my eyes on one of its window and waited a few seconds and surely enough my eyes had to move up to keep my vision locked on that window. "You gotta be fucking kidding me right now" I don't know what was in the other side of this dark mess below me but I knew it wasn't anything good either. Out of desperation I tried to swim away once again, a futile attempt for a dead guy I thought but there was always a chance that this was all just my imagination. I was jolted again by that weird tingle I felt earlier but this time it was more of a shock than just a tingle, it made me think about the specks of colours I felt some hours ago. I knew the sensation wasn't the same but it was kinda similar in sense, I called back how I was able to fly when I focused on those colors back in the shuttle, 'No harm in trying now' I steeled myself and closed my eyes to focus, rewinded the things that happened through my mind. 'Focus Meryl... You need to try' a voice said, strange I don't think it was my own voice that said it but still felt like it was mine. I can't remember how much time has passed, could have been seconds, minutes or even hours but I kept my eyes closed up, thinking about those ripples, the colours and that warmth I felt. In the midst of it I was hit by that shock many times but I didn't opened my eyes, I didn't tried to question it now, I felt warmth in my chest and it was slowly spreading to my body like blood through the veins. It was a different sensation all together but I kept at it, the warmth that I was only able to feel in my chest was now everywhere in my body. I was sweating, even in this water I knew I was sweating, I laughed in my head 'I like this' I thought and now I slowly opened my eyes to find that millions of those coloured dots are in front of me, it was exhilarating.
I moved around my body to see myself surrounded by these colors "What are you?", I held out my palm to try and catch it but I couldn't even though I could feel them. I saw a set of dark red light up from my left and it was closing in on me and sure enough I felt that shock but it was tolerable. 'Is that the way it came from' I thought and held out my hand in that direction and touched some of the red spots and memories flooded my mind, I saw a small girl throwing around coiled electricity at something. "I am not alone!.. There is another person here" I said out loud happily but the darkness below me was almost in on me, whatever I want to do I need to do it quick. I held out my hand and tried to grab the colours but it didn't work "Calm Yourself Brat!" I heard an echoing sound "Who are you? Where am I?" I asked in response. "Introductions can wait.... For now I shall teach you a lesson brat! " the voice said, "Lesson? There is no time for that and why should I trust a random voice?" I replied still trying to catch some of these specks. "Haha, you asked a good question but trust me when I say this right now I am your only hope in getting out of here alive" he paused and continued "Meryl Reymond", I don't know why but the way he said my name gave me the creeps. I looked down at the approaching black cloud and made up my mind "Alright, I accept but not just me there is someone else in here, a child you need to save her too" I announced it like I was in a position to negotiate "Heh..! You wish to save that thing?" 'That thing?' I noted "Sure why not". I don't know what it is about to do but I have to be prepared "Brat you see those glowing dots around you, instead trying to forcefully grabbing it try to convey your thoughts into those colours, "Convey my thoughts? How am I supposed to do that?" I asked furiously almost irritated. "Hmm that is upto you, I just gave you a possible insight that can even blow up that black fog" he said it in a proud tone, 'Conveying my thoughts' If I manage to do it I can even blow up that thing. It's no time to hesitate, conveying thoughts what does it mean? Is it simply to ask? No. Is it to convey just my feelings? No, there has to be a bigger picture, what does it truly mean to convey thoughts? That's when it clicked in my head "See I told you it was a possible insight" that voice spoke again. "The answer is words" I smiled and held out my palm downwards aimed at the approaching fog, "Gather in my palm and destroy the approaching fog" I said it out loud, the glowing colours gathered in my palms and rounded together to form a sphere emitting strong white light. "Go" I said, the glowing sphere launched itself out of my palm and went straight to the fog and exploded, everything around me turned white while cracks appearing here and there through which some numbers where moving but I couldn't make it out. "Don't loose your way this time, Doomsday" the voice echoed one last time before the light became too intense for my eyes.
