Chapter 24 - Chapter 22.

(Colton Cypraes)

I've been planning this day for a while now. Why are my palms sweaty? I think my shirt is too tight. Should I loosen it? It would seem like a thirsty trap to him. I don't want to come off as too strong. I need to go get him. Looking around my house, I note that everything is in its place for tonight. I hope he likes the food that I've prepared for him. Well, to be precise, my sister gave me instructions on how to make it from the hospital. It was the longest day and lesson that I've ever had.

I should start going to a culinary school. I don't mind that he knows how to cook, I want to be able to cook for him. Knowing that he is going to be the first person to eat my cooking fills me with so much joy. I hope he likes it. They might be burnt on the sides, but they seem edible. I took the whole day to cook it.

Taking out my phone and dialing the only saved number under favorites. I wait as the tone dials till it connects.

"Hey, Colt."

My name feels like honey coming from him. I feel all mushy on the inside. Shit, I need to answer him.

"Hey, little Kitten, are you ready yet? I'm coming to pick you up."

"I'm ready, Colt was for a couple of hours now, so yeah, I'm ready."

His voice shows a hint of excitement. I can't tell if I might meet his expectations, I hope I can meet it. I don't want my first date to end in any disaster. But, something tells me, I might need to do better.

The ride to Orion's place feels so short this time. Fuck, am I ready yet? Is everything in the right place back at home? I hope the food stays warm.

"You do realise that I could see you pacing in front of my lawn for quite some time."

I have never met anyone as impressive as him. He wore elegant black clothes that gave off a sense of mystery. His shirt was casually unbuttoned, revealing smooth collarbones that shone in the soft lawn lights. The light highlighted his shiny, curly hair, which bounced with every movement. His skin looked like polished marble under the glow, and his lips were shiny. Did he use that lip balm? It's the same one he used back in the village, which made my heart race. He knows how to completely capture my attention. His trousers fit well around his slim waist, showing off his figure perfectly. When he turned to close the door, I wished he hadn't. Fuck, He is going to kill me. I can't stand it. It's calling to me in more ways.

"Colt? Is something wrong?"

He points at my face and moves closer, filling the air with the sweet scent of plum blossoms. My heart races. Is he trying to push me right now? He stands just inches away, his presence strong. As he slowly raises his hand, his fingers brush against my bottom lip, sending a chill down my spine. With a gentle motion, he wipes away the remaining saliva from my lips with a cloth that smells like him, a mix of warmth and closeness that fills the air and makes it hard to breathe.

"What?... are you doing to me, baby?"

I take hold of his arm, it feels so brittle in my arms and smooth at the same time. His warmth seeps into my hands. I bring it close to my face. Which makes his face turn all red and the tips of his ears turn red. Knowing that I made him fills me up with so much pride, knowing that only I can elicit such reactions from him.

"Shall we get going, little Kitten?"

I take his hands and usher him into the passenger seat. If only he knew that he was the only one who could sit in that position. I'll be damned if I let anyone ever sit there.

"Should I buckle your seat belt again, baby?"

"Idiot."

It's fun, teasing him. He always falls for it. But his memory is impeccable.

I try to take him a long way to showcase my house, and where I live. Why do I want to show Orion everything? It feels as if I'm showing him my den as if I'm a wolf flirting with its mate.

"So umm... Do you want to take my hand?" I raise my hand to him, "I know it's cliché, but I want to do it."

"Well, thank you, my knight in shining armour."

I take him inside the house and back to the back garden. My candle-lit dinner that I prepared for today's date. The dim lights and the two seats in the centre of the garden. I hope it showcases everything from my heart. I pull the chair for him to sit like a gentleman, that I am. Shit, I hope I'm doing it correctly. The tabloids that I read told me to do this exact thing.

"I hope you'll enjoy what I've prepared for you. It was the first time I've cooked for anyone."

Opening the dishes, I'm embarrassed to even say that I cooked for him. It's so dry and cold.

"Sorry, I screwed the date, little kitten."

"I mean, it's not that bad," he dips his finger into the stake and licks his greasy finger, " You tried, plus this is my first date too."

Have you ever envied a finger? I do.

"Wait, you've never been on a date before?"

His nod confirms a lo In as much as I am happy that I'm the first one who has asked him out on a date, it kinda saddens me that he hasn't gone out on a date yet. knowing I get to enjoy his presence on his first date feels special, it warms my heart.

"Yeah, well, I haven't, you are the first, but do you want to do something different from the occasional date?"

"What do you want to do?"

"Well, since you tried cooking? Do you want to go shopping for ingredients and make something?"

Cooking with him before anything else? Fuck yeah!

"Sure, little kitten."
