Beatrice took a deep breath once she was left alone with all the visitors.
The smile slipped from her face in a second, and she pulled her phone before dialing her uncle's number.
"Did the project come into our hands?" Beatrice asked.
There was silence on the other hand, and Beatrice couldn't help but grit her teeth in annoyance.
The man just knows how to pressure her. When it comes to his own capabilities, he wasn't so efficient, was he?
"Where are you? We should meet," her uncle said.
Remembering how he offered her to that old, stinky man Cooper the last time she met him, Beatrice clenched her fists on the bedsheet.
"I can't come. Elara nearly exposed me, or someone related to me, as involved in stealing the project. I had to take a fall from the stairs to distract everyone and shut her mouth. You'd better work on it quickly. I am literally trying everything," Beatrice said before she ended the call and took a deep breath.
