Ren finally ascended to becoming an immortal. It was his lifelong dream and it came true. He made it this far and he bet mortals would find it hard to ascend.
He saw pillars of light that was exuding mighty auras. From blue, to red, also oranges and yellowish auras. He could not fathom the feeling of being an immortal being. And all he could say was, it was refreshing. A palpable feeling of his senses. All heightened by his immortality.
He saw a meditation seat on the middle of the pillar of light. He sat on it and the teleportation gate began to suck him that felt faster than light. He vanished.
With the years of attaining what he needed to attain, he finally broke through the boundaries of being a mortal. In a sense that it was impossible made possible through his knowledge and might.
He arrived from the teleportation towards a gate. Golden and as huge as collosal buildings. He approached it and then felt the divine essence seeping out from the slit of the door. He tried to push it and felt that it was cooperating to his efforts. Making him to smile and push harder. The gates were made to be opened by the worthy.
The gate of separating the mortals and immortals were broke through by his push and he entered. With that, he arrived at the Land of Beginnings. He was on the top of a rock that was cut horizontally by a huge weapon of some kind. He saw the forest below having fogs and whistles of birds were heard. The atmosphere was cold and wet, making it felt like it just rained.
He immediately saw the difference from the mortal world to here. You could absorb divine essence and the air felt refreshing like you breathe divine essence itself and every breath extends your longevity. "Divine essence!?" He mumbled, 'This phenomena is making the people here have longevity and immortality,' he thought.
It was making him jealous that the kids born here would automatically become an immortal....it was a harsh path to travail when in pursuit of Immortality. The sun was covered by clouds and the wind was breezy and cold.
By the looks of it, he could become immortal here with just his breathing. Such a nice place. It was a norm here. And so he meditated in lotus position for several hours and he felt like his longevity has reached another 100 years.
After his meditation, he felt like he needed to scout the area. Whether he liked it or not, he needed to survive here. He was wearing a red kimono and all his weapons were lost. Making him worry. What if a beast would attack him? Well he could not begin to imagine.
He scouted the forest with his descent to the rock and he managed to arrive below without problems. He hopped from rocks to the trees while descending. He sighed and breathed out and in after the arduous descend. He began to hear wails from the top of the rock where he was moments ago.
What could be causing the sound though? What monster would that be? Being unarmed made him think anxiously.
He continued the search and then he arrived to a tree. He immediately went to discover some fruits and tested to eat them. "This one looked like peach but it's flavor was like of a apple but tender like a mango." With that, he felt this fruits has absorbed divine essence and eating them made his health extend.
To his surprise, he discovered that there might be fruits or herbs that could help in your cultivation. "Maybe there were herbs or fruits that could extend mana or stamina also." He thought, and he also tried to get some more for his ration along the way. Who knows when he will get hungry again.
He grabbed several more fruits and then went on, but to his surprise, there were more wails that was getting louder. "Wait, It was following me?" His heart raced as he realized that he was not alone here. A fellow would be good but not an enemy. He was a sitting duck here if he would imagine.
Soon after, he heard trees crushing and rumblings from afar. He could feel and see that there was a huge creature that was following him. He immediately ran, nothing was more likely to be made at this moment. Fighting was not an option in the first place.
Then after a clear view of the skies, he saw an imagery of the creature that was following him. Description was a witch like face of curved long nose, nails few inches long and thin Constitution with nine feet tall height. It spotted Ren in the moment he descended here...
To his dreadful realisation, he does not have a weapon at all!
He dashed like what a cautious person he was. He could not fight? He has to live. Not until he could rescue his lover. "No, not yet, I will not die yet! Not until I rescued May, that evil God will pay for it!"
Remembering the past .....He wanted to grit his teeth to the sheer anger he felt.
He dashed and dashed until he found a clearing. With a cliff on the side. The creature followed and then he was seen with it's keen senses. He immediately dashed towards the cliff then stopped to look at he creature. It ran towards him and he gulped his saliva. And then, in a moment of hesitation, he was attacked by the Witch like creature.
Should I fight back? Or should I escape? He was in thoughts but he hastily decided. He choose to escape as fighting will not be fruitful.
It was then, a bolt of lightning struck the creature and it pierced through the chest towards the back. Making it crumble like a sand blown by the wind. The creature then disappeared like nothing happened at all.
"Look who's here! A mortal that just ascended to be an immortal." A voice reverberating inside his head.
"Who are you? Show yourself!" Ren was alerted.
"Oh? You got courage now? Good!" He said again in his mind. With that, and old man appeared to him. A backpack that has random kitchen utensils of all kinds and his staff that was flickering with sparks of lightning. "Good to see you! I am Eli, an immortal hermit!"
