Chapter 97: Mark 1
After several days of working together, it was finally complete, his first Mark 1 Iron Man armor or Iron mage armor depend on who used it.
If wizard use it, it could be called iron mage while muggles it will be called iron man.
"Who want to try it?" asked Dudley to the group.
"Let me be the first person to try it," offered Sirius Black.
"Are you sure?" asked Dudley.
"Yes, I'm always serious and ready," Sirius said with a grin.
"Sirius, you should really resume your Auror career because of your brave personality," Amelia suddenly commented.
"Yeah, but Hogwarts forced me to become a professor there," Sirius smirked.
Everyone laughed. Dudley didn't really understand what was so funny, but for the sake of the atmosphere, he laughed along as well.
"Okay everyone, now is the time. Let me do the magic," said Dudley. At his words, silence fell over the group. Dudley raised his wand, muttered an incantation and directed it at Sirius who are stood at the corner.
Znnng! Znnng! The sound of shifting metal filled the room. Anyone who had ever watched the Iron man films would instantly recognize it, it was the sound of Tony Stark suiting up but this time it is Sirius Black who wear the armor.
It took about twenty seconds before the armor fully enclosed Sirius. Dudley made note of the timing, he plan to speed up the process in the future.
"Wow," everyone murmured in amazement. Even Dudley, who had expected the result, looked thrilled.
"Sirius, how does it feel?" asked Harry. "Can you see through the eyes?"
Because of the glowing effect in the helmet eyes, Harry was curious.
"Yeah, I can see. In fact, I feel like my body is much lighter," Sirius commented, glancing down at his new armored form.
Dudley suddenly threw a chair at him. "Catch it!"
Pap! Sirius caught it with ease.
"Dudley, that's dangerous!" Susan snapped and even Amelia looked disapproving of Dudley's behavior.
"Don't worry, Susan. He's a metal man. Even if I threw a spell at him, the armor would deflect it," Dudley replied.
Susan wanted to argue, but Sirius cut her off.
"It's true, Susan. Don't worry."
"Okay…" she reluctantly agreed.
"Sirius, try crushing the chair in your hands," said Dudley.
"You mean like this?" Sirius asked, applying force to the chair. With a sudden crack, it splintered into pieces.
"What the.....!" Everyone was stunned by how easily it broke.
"The armor doesn't just upgrade defense..... it also increases strength. If you ever need to fight trolls or werewolves, you can win without much trouble," Dudley explained.
Amelia looked deeply impressed by the Iron Man armor, while Sirius shifted into a boxing stance, clearly eager to test his fists.
"By the way, I forgot to mention that you can fly using that armor, the same like you can fly using your flying brooms.... just imagine there's fire on your legs and feet. That will push you upward," said Dudley.
Sirius followed his instructions. Flames ignited beneath his boots, and with a sudden blast he shot upward.... smashing straight into the ceiling of the expandable bag..... before dropping back down again with a thud.
"Sirius!" Harry and Susan cried out in shock.
---The Day Before Return To School---
The holiday had slipped away faster than anyone realized. Like people said, when you are happy you won't notice the time has ran out, one moment he feel he just returned from Hogwarts and the next, it was already time to prepare for returning to Hogwarts. The time had gone so fast that they didn't notice it is the end of the Holiday.
Maybe because this is first holiday in this world. So many things had happened, so many changes had taken root, that it almost felt as though he had been living in a dream. They are many thing happen that make this holiday is so enjoyable that they feel the time is so fast.
Perhaps the greatest transformation lay on his parents. His father, Vernon Dursley,who are always fat suddenly had slimmed down around 10kg.
While Petunia, his mother, had grown even more striking. Her complexion seemed brighter, her skin looks more soft and she looks like at her 20s. It all thanks to the potions Dudley had given them, they are not healthy physically but also mentally
The relationship between Petunia and Vernon had become much more closer, now acted like a pair of newlyweds rediscovering one another. What he did not realize, however, was that the greatest surprise was still to come.
It happened one morning at breakfast. The table was set as usual, with eggs, toast, and the smell of fresh tea filling the kitchen. They had just finished eating when Vernon, wiping his mouth with a napkin, turned toward Dudley with an unusual expression.
"Dudley, tomorrow is the day you return to school, isn't it?" he asked.
"Yes, Father," Dudley replied politely.
"Time flies so fast," Vernon commented with a sigh.
Dudley lowered his gaze, expecting his father to look sorrowful at the thought of him leaving. Yet when he glanced back up, he realized something was off. Vernon did not look sad at all. In fact, his face was glowing with something closer to excitement.
"Dudley," Vernon said, his voice filled with a strange pride, "you are going to become a brother."
"Huh? What?" Dudley froze. The words hung in the air, silencing the kitchen. Even the clinking of cutlery stopped.
"Your father means," Petunia clarified gently, "you are going to be a big brother."
"Brother?" Dudley repeated, staring wide-eyed at his mother. "Mother, are you pregnant?"
"Yes, Dudley," Petunia admitted softly. "I am pregnant."
Dudley was very surprised because according to the original series, Dudley had always been the only child in Dursley family. But today, he was informed that he will become big brother.
It all thanks to the potion given to his mother and father, Vernon who had become much stronger and his stamina returned and his mother who become more beautiful and looks like at her early 20s make them both spend more time together.
Everyday doing the deed make them who are not planning to have a second child suddenly become pregnant.
