Chapter 54 — Might Guy Turns Into a Super Saiyan!
Another month had passed in the manga world.
Once again, Might Guy stood before Son Goku, ready for another challenge.
"...This time, I actually reacted! I wanted to dodge!"
That was the last thought that crossed his mind before Goku's fist ended the fight in a single blow.
Even so, that tiny moment—the mere impulse to dodge—was already a huge improvement.
Progress was progress.
Time flowed differently inside the manga world.
Before he knew it, a full year had passed.
Might Guy appeared before Goku once again.
The result?
Still the same.
Defeated in seconds.
Yet, this time, Guy grinned brightly.
"Great! My body finally managed to react!"
Even though it was only for a brief instant before death, the fact that he could move at all meant he had grown immensely stronger.
And his rapid progress wasn't without reason—
Haki.
Yes, Might Guy had spent the past year learning both Armament Haki and Observation Haki in hopes of catching up to Goku.
With his natural talent and unbreakable spirit, mastering the two came surprisingly easy to him.
Only Conqueror's Haki eluded him.
But that was fine. After all, Might Guy wasn't someone who sought domination or control—he simply fought for the joy of youth and challenge.
Under the relentless pressure of his battles, his Observation Haki improved dramatically. Eventually, he could even react for a fraction of a second before Goku struck.
Of course, Goku wasn't standing still either.
After learning about Haki and Chakra from Guy, Goku became fascinated.
He studied them both—and soon surpassed his teacher.
It turned out that Goku could indeed cultivate Chakra.
Contrary to what Uchiha Madara once claimed, Chakra didn't only originate from the God Tree. That was misinformation planted by Black Zetsu.
In truth, Chakra was formed from the perfect blend of physical energy—drawn from the body's trillions of cells—and spiritual energy, honed through training and experience.
It had always existed naturally within living beings.
Thus, the stronger one's body and mind, the stronger their Chakra.
And when it came to physical and spiritual power… even Might Guy couldn't compare to Goku.
So before long, Goku's Haki and Chakra far outclassed his. He even began guiding Might Guy's own training in both areas.
Guy had planted the seeds—and Goku turned them into a towering tree.
Still, Might Guy refused to stop growing beneath that tree's shade.
After countless battles and countless deaths, something inside him began to stir.
A strange, surging feeling took root in his heart.
"Could it be…?"
Sensing the change, Goku stopped midair and watched him carefully.
Might Guy didn't answer. He simply took a deep breath.
A gust of wind blew across the battlefield.
Then—
A powerful aura erupted from his body.
Ripples of energy radiated outward, and white steam-like waves surrounded him, crackling with power.
He had learned Haki and Chakra, and in return, Goku had taught him Ki control and the Turtle School martial arts.
Now, that knowledge was bearing fruit.
Might Guy clenched his fists tightly.
"Haaaah—!!"
The ground trembled violently.
A surge of energy—wild and primal—burst from his body like a floodgate shattering open.
The very manga world began to quake.
The earth rumbled, tearing apart with deep, jagged cracks. Dark clouds gathered overhead, swallowing the sunlight.
BOOM—!!
A massive bolt of lightning split the sky.
Might Guy's power spiked higher and higher, his aura blazing like a golden flame. The sheer intensity distorted the air itself, gravity seeming to multiply around him.
At that moment, his energy reached a level he had never known before.
Light flickered across his body—white at first, then golden.
Back and forth it shifted, faster and faster.
Then, with a deafening crack of thunder—
BOOM!
Might Guy's hair flashed gold. His aura exploded outward like a blazing sun.
For the first time, he felt his power overflow, limitless and unstoppable, flooding every vein, every muscle, every corner of his being.
He clenched his fist—
Crack!
The air itself shattered around his hand.
The sheer pressure of his strength distorted space.
Finally—after countless defeats, countless resurrections, and a year of relentless training—
Might Guy had done it.
He had transformed into a Super Saiyan!
