Oz Tena looked at the cheering, excited players.
She could understand most of what these people said when they conversed.
But sometimes, their words would suddenly turn into chaotic noise.
Even with her language system's anti-interference and decryption functions activated, she couldn't eliminate the noise.
This anomaly made her wary.
Seeing Oz Tena's expression, Qin Yun immediately realized she had noticed the players' abnormality.
Qin Yun's mind raced, and he decided to be open and honest to gain her trust.
"Is a private conversation possible, Tech-Priest Oz Tena? There are some matters that need to be discussed in a discreet location."
Faced with Qin Yun's invitation, Tena hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
The metal walls were lined with a series of Thinker wetware and logic engines, emitting ticking sounds.
Over a dozen projection interfaces floated in the air, emitting a pale white light.
Qin Yun and Tena walked deeper into the data control room.
Away from the players.
"Presumably, you have realized our unusual nature."
Qin Yun was straightforward, not intending to waste time.
"Actually, those outside are not ordinary people. They are the God-Emperor's blessed Chosen, walking among the stars as extensions of His will."
Qin Yun's words made Tena widen her eyes, her metal-implanted face showing shock, but it quickly vanished.
"Your words lack sufficient data support. You cannot prove you are the Omnissiah's Chosen messengers."
"Can this prove it then?"
Qin Yun stretched out his hand and activated the skill [Emperor's Light].
Golden light swirled around his fingers.
"Cadia has fallen. Chaotic forces are invading realspace on an unprecedented scale. Humanity will face the most terrible and dark Time of Ending."
"But this is also humanity's opportunity. The God-Emperor is humanity's strongest psyker. The emergence of the Great Rift not only strengthened those daemons but also granted Him greater power, allowing Him the capacity to do more."
"He chose me, made me a Living Saint, to lead these Chosen Ones, temper them, and prepare for the final battle."
The servo-skull connected to Oz Tena's spine hummed as it flew out, scanning the light between Qin Yun's palms.
A flood of data poured into Tena's processing core.
The analysis results showed this light could please Machine Spirits and suppress Warp entities.
It matched various characteristics of the Omnissiah's power very well.
This sacred data phenomenon caused Oz Tena's computational load to surge suddenly.
The auxiliary logic modules within her skull operated at high speed.
Heat vents expelled scorching steam.
Qin Yun's nose twitched; he seemed to smell the scent of cooked flesh.
He looked at Oz Tena with some concern, afraid she might burn out her logic engines.
After waiting for a long time, Oz Tena finished her calculations and reached a judgment.
She decided to trust the man before her.
After all, things couldn't get much worse than the current situation.
In this era of chaos, darkness, and despair, the appearance of a group of the Omnissiah's Chosen wasn't something unacceptable.
"Saint of the Omnissiah above, how should I address you?"
Oz Tena humbly lowered her head to Qin Yun, the sound of spinal gears turning echoing in the noisy data control room.
Qin Yun breathed a sigh of relief. If Oz Tena had been stubborn, it would have been disastrous.
The automated weapon systems of the entire area were in her hands.
A single thought from her could turn them into fragments.
"You may call me the Guide. Thank you for your trust, Tech-Priest Tena. I believe with your help, we can more smoothly complete the God-Emperor's tasks and protect humanity from evil."
"I will assist you with all my strength, Guide. What is our next task?"
"The top priority is to clear out the rebels on the surface, assist the Loyalist faction in reclaiming control of Astroma Prime. How much do you know about the surface situation?"
Oz Tena shook her head. "I know nothing about the surface war."
"The communication system of the Laicade Station went offline after being damaged by viral code released by the rebels. It cannot receive information from the ground or the void."
"Then how did you contact us?" Qin Yun was somewhat curious.
"I have a small communication module inside me that allows data transmission and communication over a certain distance."
Qin Yun showed a thoughtful expression.
After weighing the options, he decided to first reclaim the Laicade Station, then go to the surface.
The Laicade Station had massive ports and shipyards.
It could allow the Imperial Glory to undergo maintenance here, replenish ammunition and supplies.
The players could also have more room for activity here.
"Tena, which forge world are you from?" Qin Yun inquired.
"I am from Triplex Phall, a forge world located on the furthest reaches of the Ultima Segmentum."
Tena's words surprised Qin Yun somewhat.
Having been chosen by the Emperor to be a workhorse, he was naturally a Warhammer fan well-versed in Imperial lore.
Triplex Phall was a forge world with its own story in Warhammer.
This forge world was located in the extreme eastern fringe of the Ultima Segmentum.
Because it was too far from Mars, it had long been in a state of autonomy.
They possessed much Dark Age technology, and their products supplied the Imperial military.
But they never shared their knowledge with Mars.
Delegations from Mars in the past either returned empty-handed or brought back blueprints missing crucial details.
This behavior infuriated the high-ranking Magi of Mars.
Qin Yun was very satisfied with Tena's origin.
After all, most of what the players did was unorthodox.
If Tena were a conservative from Mars, there would be plenty of trouble later.
"By the way, do you understand biological enhancement, prosthetic implantation, and weapon maintenance?"
Tena nodded. "I am a Enginseer. I need to maintain machinery and manufacture servitors, so I naturally know these basic skills."
"Excellent. From now on, you are the owner of the Cybernetics Shop. The Chosen Ones will use the Contribution Points they earn from tasks to purchase your goods."
"You can also issue tasks for them to carry out for you."
Qin Yun explained the Contribution Point system in detail to Oz Tena.
And gave her the secondary authority to issue tasks.
Oz Tena showed a puzzled expression. "Why go through such trouble? Shouldn't obeying orders be what they do?"
"They are somewhat different." Qin Yun paused. "They are the God-Emperor's Chosen, each with their own ideas."
"I also don't know why the God-Emperor does this. His wisdom is beyond my comprehension."
"The only thing I can do is find ways to guide these Chosen Ones, to have them properly complete the tasks assigned by the God-Emperor."
Qin Yun shoved the unexplainable parts onto the Emperor.
Given the current level of fanaticism of the Imperial faith in the Emperor, presumably no one would dare question it.
"I cannot understand this approach, but I will execute it according to your command."
Oz Tena was somewhat confused by Qin Yun's words.
But out of trust, she still intended to believe Qin Yun and carry out all commands he issued.
