Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: My Foolish Little Brother

As Mikoto pulled him along, Tatsumi checked his system panel:

Remaining Ninja Points: 3600

Missions are the jackpot. No wonder they say you need a windfall to get rich.

His first match earned 1000 points, beating Minato gave 2000. The system rewarded based on progression—higher rounds meant more points. Normally, beating Minato yielded only 400. Is Minato worth so little usually?

Tatsumi once thought too many points would stress him out, unsure where to allocate them. Now, he realized how wrong he was. Too many points? That's a happiness I couldn't imagine.

"Tsunade-sama, my friend's hurt! Please help!" Mikoto pleaded, looking frantic.

"Huh?" Tsunade, bored after treating another student, turned to them. "Uchiha kids, what's wrong?"

"Look at this huge wound!" Mikoto pointed to Tatsumi's arm.

"…This? It's barely a centimeter!" Tsunade blinked, baffled.

Tatsumi cringed, embarrassed. "I've got needle and thread. Want me to sew your jacket?" Tsunade offered.

"Sure," Tatsumi said, handing over his torn Uchiha jacket.

Tsunade pulled out a sewing kit, mending it deftly. "Why carry that, Tsunade-sama?" Tatsumi asked.

"On long missions, especially in remote areas, clothes get torn in fights. My sewing's top-notch," she said, then whispered, "Don't tell anyone. Impressed, kid?"

Yeah, right, Tatsumi rolled his eyes.

"Tsunade-sama, I can sew! Please check his wound!" Mikoto interjected.

"It's healed. Just some dried blood," Tatsumi pointed out.

Mikoto blushed, her concern making her overlook the obvious. Her flustered state was adorable but overwhelming.

Tsunade muttered, "Early-dating brats."

"Sis… I'm hurt too!" Nawaki, watching from afar, barged in. This guy's hitting on my sister?! He'd overheard Tatsumi's earlier comment and was convinced he was after Tsunade, a sixteen-year-old maiden.

"Where?" Tsunade eyed Nawaki, who looked perfectly fine, chakra stable—no sign of injury.

"Uh…" Nawaki faltered, unable to lie convincingly. He'd rushed over, jealous of Tsunade's attention to Tatsumi, but had no wounds. In their year, only Tatsumi and Minato were his real rivals, and Nawaki was clever enough to forfeit against stronger opponents, avoiding injury.

"I… I've got a cold! Any medicine, Sis?" he blurted.

Tsunade's eyes narrowed suspiciously. This kid's messing with me.

"No cold in May, huh?" Tsunade's smile turned dangerous, unnoticed by Nawaki.

Enjoying Mikoto's sewing, Tatsumi mentally roasted Nawaki. Check the weather forecast, idiot. It's May! Think before you speak.

"Yeah, Sis!" Nawaki said, glaring at Tatsumi defiantly.

"Here's your cold medicine," Tsunade said sweetly, forming seals. Two slimy blue slugs appeared on the table, oozing sticky liquid.

Nawaki's face paled. He'd seen these before—not medicine, but something far worse, as Jiraiya's suffering had taught him.

"My foolish little brother," Tsunade cooed, her smile chilling.
