An ocean, that must have been how it felt. The blood in Anas' whole body started running cold and dry, and crashing like waves through his veins which made him picture his body swaying with him from right to left and rotating himself as if he is to pass out any second past this, and for a second there he really thought of himself dead at that point, as foam surrendered the corners of his mouth and a tingling feeling began to spread and extend through his limbs, but as soon as Aurora pulled out the small branch his condition slowly got better, although his senses lagged behind a bit.
As he threw a look across the room, his vision kept rotating and spinning in a circle over and over again. The circular motion went as far as to guide him to fall off the bed while his head reached for the ground as if to stabilize.
Amidst the chaos, a fleeing thought crossed his mind, a sort of hope, a wish to reach for the underground and be gone.
Aurora extended her arm to stop Maj from getting involved and helping him get back up, and whispered to him that if he's done here, it is by choice.
The ground broke up and generated little cracks, of which little weeds sprung out the concrete and roots began embracing Anas and wrapping around his body. Little bits of consciousness started mixing up in his head, little memories. Frozen in a scattered state, his conscious was floating above his body, and watched as his body was giving in from somewhere near the roof up top.
He switched the direction of his vision over to the two of them, while Maj worried expression slightly made him uncomfortable even in that state, Aurora started moving her lips in some manner, and although he couldn't hear a thing at first, as she kept moving them he noticed her repeating the same kind of movements over and over, until the words were drawn all across his conscious.
In a heartbeat, his body began twitching and coming back to life, as his heart was pumping blood like an engine. The weeds rapidly rotted away and looked somewhat of a mixture between brownish and yellowish colors that fell off of his back. The roots struggled a bit but gave in and ran off back into the ground when they were met with some resistance.
Anas rolled over then slowly stood back up and wiped his face and mouth alike, as his senses seemed to be truly functioning this time, he heard Aurora speak in a disappointed tone, "Despite how you carry that unbothered attitude, your nerves are all made out of glass. The truth is, your weakness is your hypersensitivity, but you can thank that for bringing you back."
Anas took a deep breath, and an awkward smile was drawn on his face as he was breathing heavily and said, "Can you stop talking? What do you even know? I don't want to hear anything about myself from someone I just met."
Aurora closed her eyes and remained composed, while she clasped her hands together and tightened her grip, and as Maj glanced over her, he felt as though this is the first time he's seen her this mad, but that anger wasn't necessarily directed at Anas, it was more so at herself, and her inability to do anything, a byproduct of her helpless hands, forever unable to extend them far enough to save and be saved.
Anas looked away as a bitter taste was starting to spread throughout his mouth from the tension and silence his words caused, despite that he decided to continue talking, "Not like it would make any difference whether you saw through me or not, or even if you were to assume whatever that came to mind. It's none of my business. I don't want to know about it. You can keep it to yourself."
Maj's expression as he heard that was a mixture of both surprise and disbelief, as though he can never accept nor did he expect it, so he shouted out, "Is that even something you say to anyone? You don't think it's appropriate to apologize and maybe be a little thankful at this point? The whole reason I got you here was... " In the middle of his talk, he glanced over to Aurora just to find her smiling back at him, which confused him and cut off the line of his thoughts. Aurora nodded slowly, "It might sound like that, but you can tell just by looking at him that it wasn't what he meant." She switched her gaze to Anas then, and with a sharp tongue she continued, "He's being superficial, by acting like all his nerves are thorny and untouchable, he gets to distance himself and his glassy nerves from others, and so he eliminates the possibility of being hurt by others and hurting them."
Anas looked away and clicked his tongue, which made Aurora smile confidently, "I told you, I got into your nervous system. But, as of now, your desire is still unclear for the seed and yourself both, which makes fusing with it almost impossible, without an object of desire to shape your desire the seed won't bite. Essentially, you're useless, you're even less than useless, as a matter of fact, you're a liability."
Anas started fidgeting and touching his neck as if for reassurance or comforting, while the blood circulating into his head was starting to destabilize, "So, why am I even here still?" Aurora crossed her arms as she was waiting for the silence to echo back and answer him. "Your skin is as thin as a piece of paper. Do you think people are only allowed to exist if they serve a purpose or are constantly producing results? Then it would be reasonable to kill the homeless, the ill, the old, the children, and about any animal and get rid of them all the same, no? Before you could be any useful, you need the chance and ability to perform, but above all, you need to truly see yourself and know your own limits."
Anas began zoning out and detaching himself farther away, but he managed to put a few words together despite that, "Ah, I see. So, basically, you're keeping me around until there's some use for me?" Aurora frowned at that interpretation and raised an eyebrow, "Not exactly, you're being offered both time and place to perform, so in essence, I won't be "keeping you around" but more so cultivating the seed that is within you."
Without processing, Anas nodded as a response and asked if he could leave for the time being. Aurora had some worries that he might try to act stubborn and ignore everything she said and come up with his own justifications within himself without voicing anything out, but ultimately, she let it go as it is. Maj had been tensed up and on edge throughout that whole conversation, which made him a bit hesitant to leave either side alone despite not really being fine with how either one of them handled it, but in the end he had to accompany Anas back through white gate into the ground below and lead the way through the stairs maze. The two of them went as quiet as someone could be. Even the sound of their steps began distancing itself from their feet farther and farther away. Above the ground outside of the house, they parted ways as Maj threw in the air the fact that he's going to work, but Anas carried on into the fog without responding nor reacting. The two of them ended up not seeing eye to eye, as each went about their way.
