Chapter 88 - Concept Severance: Alucard, Solved

Inside his personal Fog Realm.

Back in the desert where he'd played around with Tohru last time, Arthur stepped through the Mist Gate — and the stone coffin holding Alucard's true body was right there in front of him.

He glanced at it once, then first summoned the Compendium of All Things to check the mysterious gift pack it had just pinged him about.

A gift-pack projection floated up.

With a soft boom, it burst.

Two ancient, hard-to-read characters flared in the air.

Arthur's soul trembled.

[Sever]

He instantly understood.

"…Seriously?"

Arthur's blue eyes widened a fraction, a hint of real surprise in them.

The Compendium's "mystery gift" was actually a concept-level talent.

Sever — just as the name said — was the ability to split, peel apart, or isolate things. In theory, anything in existence could be separated.

Even concepts.

Yes, the Myriad Phenomena Cards could also borrow a "separation" power.

But because that's only borrowed strength, it can't affect an enemy that's a whole major tier above him very much.

Like: if he's A-rank and goes up against an S-rank, the effect would drop hard — maybe to only 50%.

That's way weaker than this pure Sever concept.

With Sever actually mastered?

Forget S-rank — even SS, SSS, even those who'd stepped into star-bursting territory could still be cut apart.

The strength would just scale with his own.

On paper, he could now "separate everything."

The only condition: his energy supply had to keep up.

Like, if Arthur wanted to slice the planet under his feet in half right now…

With his current strength, he couldn't do it in one instant — it'd take years, even a dozen years.

And that was with his infinite energy.

Without limitless power, it'd take even longer.

Think of it like a game skill.

Casting a super ultimate needs 100,000 mana. Arthur currently has 10,000.

So right now, he can't insta-cast it.

But Sever works like a spell that can be charged.

You don't have to dump 100,000 mana in one second.

You can charge for minutes, hours, days.

When it's full, you fire.

In short — right now, it's actually Arthur who's dragging the concept down.

As his cultivation goes up and his output ceiling rises…

Sever will start showing its real fangs.

Give it time, and he'll be at the point of "God of Severance" — a single thought to slice apart whole multiverses.

"Nice. That's real nice."

Getting a self-scaling, in-principle-no-upper-limit concept talent put Arthur in a very good mood.

After a moment, his excitement calmed.

He looked again at the nearby stone coffin.

A relaxed smile tugged at his lips.

Back then, after the Three Dark Lords beat Alucard, they still couldn't kill him — so Akasha Bloodriver chose to sacrifice herself, enter his body, and seal him.

After getting the Myriad Phenomena Cards, Arthur had already planned to borrow the "separation" force to peel Akasha and Alucard apart…

Then kill Alucard.

Before today, he'd had maybe 70–80% confidence.

Now that he had the real Sever concept?

It went straight to 100.

No reason to wait.

Arthur ignored all the sealing arrays on the stone coffin, just grabbed the lid and ripped it open.

Inside, Alucard was revealed.

If you looked closely, he did look a little like Fujisaki Miyabi.

Arthur aimed a Sever strike at him.

An invisible conceptual power wrapped around Alucard's body — then fed back a flood of information into Arthur's mind.

Arthur's blue eyes flickered.

He first separated all the True Ancestor power in Alucard's body that belonged to Alucard himself.

The moment separation succeeded…

That ownerless True Ancestor power was immediately devoured by another True Ancestor power.

Akasha Bloodriver's.

Arthur had expected that, so he just waited.

Only when Akasha's True Ancestor power finished swallowing Alucard's did he make a second Sever pass…

And pulled Akasha out.

Countless pink motes of light flew out of Alucard's body and quickly formed a human figure beside him.

It took about ten seconds.

When the glow faded, a snow-white, perfectly-figured body appeared in Arthur's view.

Rosy-pink hair fell to her shoulders…

And all the way to her waist.

Her legs were long and smooth, her feet pale and delicate.

Her eyes were closed; her facial features were exquisite, and you could see she shared at least three-tenths of Akashiya Moka's looks.

Of course — she was Moka's mother.

In Japanese, Akashiya and Akasha sound close — clearly Moka took her mother's surname.

Freshly separated from Alucard, Akasha didn't open her eyes — she began to fall.

"Eh?"

Arthur arched a brow.

Before she could hit the sand, he stretched his arms out and caught her princess-style.

A quick scan.

Just like Alucard's body… no active consciousness.

Noticing this, Arthur thought, So her main consciousness really did stay with Moka?

Then something else occurred to him.

His eyes turned a bit… strange.

As far as he remembered, "Outer Moka" was actually Akasha's own avatar with her memories wiped and sealed onto Moka…

But the main personality wasn't.

Yet from the look of it now… her main personality clearly was there, too.

…Which meant, when he and Akashiya Moka had been doing that kind of thing…

It could… arguably… be thought of as mother and daughter together?

Hssss. That's wild.

Arthur felt weirdly fired up for a second.

He quickly shook his head and cleared it.

He calmed down, shaped a bed out of barrier-force, and laid Akasha down.

His gaze couldn't help appreciating the view for a moment.

Buddha forgive me. Sinful, sinful.

He took off his coat and put it on Akasha, covering up most of the lethal scenery.

Then he looked back at the stone coffin.

Without memory and without a personality, Alucard's true body had already started to change after losing its True Ancestor power.

A few wrinkles appeared on his face.

He looked slightly old.

Arthur lifted a hand — and cards floated in front of him.

Silver cards with gold trim, same as before…

But the front picture wasn't a hollow white sphere anymore — it was dissipating mist.

This was the Dissolution Card.

A powerful, invisible disintegrating force erupted from the card and washed over Alucard's main body and the stone coffin together.

Alucard and the coffin were broken down from the atomic layer on up.

Three seconds later, they were both gone.

As if they had never existed.

Arthur's eyes moved.

And his lips curved again.

The Compendium finally pinged — Alucard's entry lit.

He didn't even have to look.

No question — purple.

With Alucard handled, Arthur turned to Akasha again, scooped her up in a princess-carry…

A Mist Gate bloomed.

Arthur walked through and returned home.

The instant he came back into the living room with Akasha in his arms, Akashiya Moka — who had been chatting with Shuzen Kokoa and the others — suddenly froze.

The Rosario at her chest trembled.

Blazing crimson light burst out.

With a thought, Arthur threw up a concealment barrier over the whole house.
