"Ladies and Gentleman! Without further ado, it's time for the moment that you've all been waiting for! Our main event, a battle for the SWF Universal Championship!"
"Introducing first, the challenger, standing 6 feet 5 inches tall, weighing in at 265 pounds, fighting out of Brooklyn, New York, it's Jack the Ripper!!!!!!!!!"
Jack came out to the ring to a roaring applause from the crowd. He was an accompanied by his "twin sister" Jill, who embraced him a way that made people wonder if they were really siblings, or at least made people hope that they aren't.
"Now it's time to introduce the champion! standing 6 feet 3 inches tall! Weighing in at 255 pounds! Fighting out of Juarez, Texas! It's the reigning! Defending! SWF Universal Champion! It's… wait a minute. What's going on here?"
As the announcer was making Black Mask's introduction, suddenly red lights flashed across the arena and a "WARNING" notice flashed on every screen. Although strangely enough, some among the crowd seemed to be quite excited about this turn of events.
Suddenly music started to play as the loud roar of a motorcycle's engine could be heard as a man rode a motorcycle down the entrance ramp to the ring. He wore black leather pants with a black leather vest and a black luchador mask with decorative red designs and a black charro hat.
This was the persona that Black Mask had used during his early start in the Lucha promotions in Mexico. With how stoic Black Mask had been lately, it took many people by surprise that he would put on such a production for this match.
"I have to say, I didn't expect my darling to put on a show like this. He does seem to be in especially good mood today." Night Queen said as Black Mask entered the ring.
"Yeah he has been a little rough around the edges lately, I can't remember the last time I saw him act like this." Black Maria said.
"That's true, but I suppose we can't be too surprised. After all, he did have so much fun in his last match with Jack. He must be so excited to face him again." Night Queen responded.
"It's nice to see that you're a man of your word." Jack said as he met Black Mask in the ring.
"Of course, there's not many other people who I'd be interested in fighting for my first title defense." Black Mask replied.
At the sound of the bell, the two men rushed towards each other. Jack swung his fist at Black Mask who pulled up into a drop kick that knocked Jack onto the mat. Jack tried to get up and launch a counter attack, but Black Mask jumped onto the ropes then hopped off for a Tornado DDT on Jack as soon as he stood up.
"Whoa! We are seeing some high flying moves from Black Mask tonight! This is a bit a a departure from his usual style wouldn't you say Bill?" Ted asked.
"Yeah with both his entrance tonight and his techniques that he's using in the ring, he seems to be getting in touch with his luchador roots. When he debuted in Japan he had adopted what's known in Japan as "Strong Style" wrestling, which is what we've mostly seen from him since he joined the SWF. It seems like he's totally letting loose for this match and I think that means the fans are in for a treat tonight." Bill answered.
"I think those in attendance would be happy to hear that. Especially considering how entertaining their first match up was."
After the DDT, Black Mask went for the over but Jack kicked out at one. He then returned fire with a head kick that stunned Black Mask. He tried to press his advantage with a barrage of punches but Black Mask countered with a powerful spear.
Black Mask again tried to cover but again Jack kick out at one. As he stood up he hit Black Mask with a vicious knee and followed it up with his Ripper's Edge. This time it was Jack who attempted the cover, but Black Mask was able to kick out at one as well.
The fight continued with back and forth action with both men using some of their signature techniques, but neither was able to put the other one down for good.
"This has been a pretty good fight, but I've been working on a new move that should finish this." Jack said.
"If you think you can then go ahead and try it!" Black Mask replied with excitement.
Jack threw a barrage of punches and pushed Black Mask into the corner. He then grabbed him and climbed to the top of the turnbuckle .
"This is my new finishing technique! I call it the Super Dead-end Driver!!!!"
He grabbed Black Mask by the throat and flipped him upside down before crashing him headfirst into the canvas. Before Jack went for the cover, he made sure to land some extra hits on Black Mask while he was down.
He then eventually went for the cover, but Black Mask just barely managed to kick out at the count of two. He got back to his feet but he was barely able to stand. He was at risk of losing the fight as Jack continued to overwhelm him with powerful strikes.
"Oh my goodness! This doesn't look good for Black Mask! Is he about to lose his first title defense?" Ted announced with tense anticipation.
Suddenly, Black Mask heard voices from his subconscious as his vision went black again.
"You need me. You are about to lose." The voice said. "Release my chains again." The voice said.
"What? No! I was having fun don't ruin it!"
"You will lose fool! Give me control!"
While Black Mask was having an internal battle, Jack continued to pummel him. Eventually, Black Mask caught one his punches.
"Sorry about the interruption. Let's get this back on track." Black Mask said with a smile.
Black Mask then got Jack onto his shoulders and stood on top of the turnbuckle. It seemed like he was going for his Execution Drop finisher, but he didn't. Instead he went for a cutter off the turnbuckle and drove his spine into the top of the turnbuckle as he came down.
"Oh! That's the first time that we've seen that move in a very long time! That was one of his old finishers called, Los Muerte." Ted explained.
Black Mask then hit him with a leg drop before going for the cover.
"1!"
"2!"
"3!"
"That's it! The match is over! Another instant classic between these two, and Black Mask makes his first title defense!" Ted announced excitedly.
Black Mask had retained his title and he had retained his control as he fought. Although he was successful in suppressing the darkness in his subconscious this time. He had been overwhelmed by it more and more frequently as time went on.
Black Mask had started as a fan favorite that was adored by the crowd. As time went on, his presence would make the people more and more uneasy. Eventually, he would have the entire organization in fear of him.
