Chet Rogue had climbed into the ring to call out Twilight Killer after is victory in his title fight against Bernhardt.
"I was supposed to be in this title fight tonight. I was supposed to be wearing that belt around MY waist, but YOU took that opportunity from me. So I demand another shot, I earned my opportunity fair and square. You OWE me a shot at that belt!" Chet said as he got in Twilight Killer's face.
Twilight Killer started by gently pushing him away before grabbing a microphone. "If you want a shot at MY title, you can have it. It doesn't matter to me who I fight, the result will be the same regardless."
"Good, why don't we say me versus you at Spring Showdown in two weeks? Or are those lights too bright for you?" Chet asked, referring to one of the biggest events in SWF that takes place over two days once a year.
"The venue is irrelevant, the results will be the same." Twilight Killer said as he dropped the mic and shoved Chet aside as he exited the ring.
"The new champion is a man of few words, but the words he did say made a big impact. Twilight Killer vs Chet Rogue at Spring Showdown, what do you think about that matchup Bill?" Ted asked.
"I think it's a match that's sure to be exciting, though I wonder how Chet could call out Twilight Killer after witnessing the performance he put on here tonight." Bill replied.
The days passed until it was time for Friday Night Knockdown. Black Mask arrived with Black Maria and Dark Mistress a few hours before the event was set to take place.
"Welcome back darling, how was your trip?" Night Queen asked, more than a bit jealous that Black Maria and Dark Mistress had the opportunity to spend so much alone time with Black Mask.
"It was fine, it wasn't a vacation after all. Still I think Maria and Missy made some solid progress." Black Mask responded.
As Black Mask was speaking, Black Maria and Dark Mistress entered the room and both looked worse for wear.
"What happened to you two?" Night Queen asked.
"I never want to speak of what happened there for the rest of my life." Black Maria said dejectedly.
"Squats, so many squats. I might never be able to walk right again." Dark Mistress said sounding traumatized.
"Hoho, it seems like this little training trip wasn't the romantic getaway that you were hoping for." Night Queen said with a smug grin.
"I don't know what you mean by that, but this training camp was meant to be a punishment after all. It wasn't supposed to be easy, still I think I went fairly easy on them. After all, it was still easier than my average workouts." Black Mask said. "Speaking of which, they received their punishment but I still owe you a reward don't I?"
"Oh, is that so? I'd almost forgotten." Night Queen said while doing a poor job of playing coy.
"Yes, I was supposed to take you for a cup of coffee. Of course, the swill they pass off for coffee around here would be completely unacceptable. Luckily, I picked up some premium coffee from back home." Black Mask said as he removed a small can of coffee from his bag. "We can discuss that more later, but right now we have more pressing matters. You're going to be using your Summit Clash contract to challenge Nova Knox for her SWF Women's Championship."
"Of course, I've already made the preparations. I'll have my title fight in the main event tonight." Night Queen replied.
"Good, I made sure that I had a match booked for myself as well."
"Darling, I am curious. If you've already established your self as the top contender, why are you bothering to schedule a non title fight for yourself?"
"It's simple. The current champ is faking an injury to avoid fighting me. I'll show that I'm willing to fight anyone anywhere, even if it doesn't benefit me. It'll show the fans which one of us is really willing to fight."
"I see. It's a clever plan, I just hope you stay safe out there. It'd be a shame for you to get an injury before your title fight after all." Night Queen said, though Black Mask brushed off her concerns.
"Well, I'm glad your plans are going well boss, but I think me and Missy are going to turn it in early. We're pretty worn out after all." Black Maria said as she and Dark Mistress started to leave.
"Where do you two think you're going? You can't leave yet, I've already arranged for you two to have a tag team match tonight." Black Mask explained.
"Huh?" The two asked in unison.
"This will be a perfect opportunity for you two to show off the results of your training."
