Chapter 8 - Awakened by heat

"Mhmmm..." An involuntary moan escaped Lilian's lips as she stirred awake.

Even though her eyes were still closed shut, she could feel the sensation in between her thighs.

The sun hadn't risen but she could already feel heat... From deep inside of her.

"Wait, what?" She wondered inwardly. This was a feeling she couldn't quite place.

Between her legs, she could feel warmth. Something wet suddenly attacked her core, brushing her rosebud, sending shivers up her spine that made her toes curl.

She wanted to check, wanted to open her eyes and see what was happening, but then...

A finger entered her, stretching her tightness.

Lilian gasped, her eyes squeezing shut tightly as pleasure shot through her body like lightning. Her hands gripped the sheets beneath her, her back arching involuntarily.

The finger moved expertly, reaching where Lilian didn't even know could be touched inside of her. And as if her body had a mind of its own, it began to react to the invasion, hot fluid seeping from within onto the finger, threatening to drown it.

Lilian couldn't think, couldn't process what was happening. She could only feel the pleasure and moan.

Before the rational part of her mind could even attempt to force her to open her eyes and check who was doing this to her, another finger entered her core. Two now, moving in and out with a rhythm that made her mind go blank.

Then she felt a hand snaking up her upper body, warm and possessive, to reach her left breast, fondling it, caressing it with deliberate care.

"Oh my..." Lilian moaned loudly, unable to stop herself. The sound echoed in the quiet room, raw and unrestrained.

Tongue and fingers worked in tandem, driving her higher and higher until she couldn't take it anymore.

Then she climaxed hard, her body trembling as waves of pleasure crashed over her.

Her eyes flew open after like a second.

"This... this has to be a dream." She whispered breathlessly, staring at the ceiling. But deep down, she agreed this was too intense to be a dream... Too vivid.

As if on a cue, there was a movement from underneath the duvet that was covering her. Before Lilian could start to panic, the duvet dragged down to reveal a head.

Cassandra's.

Lilian's entire body went rigid.

"What the hell!" She choked out, shock flooding her system.

Cassandra emerged slowly, her lips glistening with sinful fluid, her dark eyes gleaming with satisfaction. Her hair was slightly messy, and she wore that infuriatingly confident smirk.

"Good morning, My Rose. I know you would agree with me that there's no other better way to wake up than this." Cassandra said in a husky voice, her smirk growing bigger.

Hearing that, Lilian's shock lasted only a heartbeat before fury took over.

Her hand flew out, connecting with Cassandra's cheek in a sharp, resounding slap. Then she shoved her away with all her strength.

Cassandra stumbled back slightly, caught off guard.

But instead of anger, she simply blinked as if she wasn't surprised. Then, after a moment, she recovered from the shock and looked at Lilian with calm curiosity.

"My Rose, Is this your way of being romantic? Wait, do you perhaps like some roughness... A bit of BDSM?" Cassandra asked, her tone almost teasing.

"Well, I can absolutely work with that. As long as it is with you and for you." She added, eying her romantically but Lilian just hissed.

"What the hell are you doing sneaking into my house and violating me like that?!" Lilian shot at her, her eyes blazed with rage.

Cassandra tilted her head, completely unbothered.

"Violate? No, my Rose, you moaned. Quite loudly, actually. I believe you enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed tasting you." She said and threw her a wink.

Lilian gritted her teeth till she could feel pain. She hated that she was right. Hated that her body had responded so eagerly to the invasion, and that even now, the aftershocks of pleasure still lingered.

But she wasn't going to ever admit that so she allowed fury to overpower the pang of guilt that wanted to rear its head.

"Listen, don't you ever try this nonsense with me again!" Lilian snapped, her voice shaking with fury.

"How did you even get into my house in the first place?!" She demanded, her eyes darting toward the door that was still locked.

"Well, It was open." Cassandra gestured lazily toward the window then added;

"My wolf was completely out of it and I needed to be around you."

Lilian scoffed in annoyance, not bothering to read meaning to her explanation.

"I'm calling the police." Lilian declared, taking a step forward to reach for her phone on the nightstand.

Cassandra didn't move. Didn't even look worried.

Instead, a smug and knowing smile appeared on her pretty face, stopping Lilian in her track.

"The police wouldn't be able to arrest me or do anything. It seems my Rose doesn't know who I really am." She said too smoothly, fueling Lilian's anger the more.

Lilian was livid that there Cassandra Drayke was: still the arrogant princess she had always known, still acting like she owned the world and everyone in it.

"Get out of my house now!" Lilian yelled, her voice raw.

But Cassandra didn't leave. Instead, she walked closer to her, slowly and deliberately.

Lilian's breath hitched as Cassandra stopped right in front of her, their faces inches apart. Those dark eyes bore into hers with an intensity that made her heart race for entirely different reasons- reasons that she couldn't place.

That was the effect of the mate bond but Lilian had no clue what it meant.

"My Rose..." Cassandra said softly, her voice dropping into that of warmth and possessiveness.

"You belong to me. Nothing will stop me from being around you. Not even you." She said firmly as if that was just it and there was nothing anybody could about it.

Lilian furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

This Cassandra was different from the one she remembered. The Cassandra she knew always had a cold, detached expression. But this one was staring at her with something that looked almost like love.

It didn't make sense to her and she shook her head sharply as if to get rid of the thought.

As if on cue, Cassandra's face hardened. The warmth vanished, replaced by that familiar icy mask.

"I would have loved to stay longer and hold you in my arms, but I need to go deal with some of my enemies." Cassandra said, her tone shifting back to cold efficiency.

"Of course. Here appears the Cassandra I know. Cold and ruthless. Always talking about enemies and deals. Lilian scoffed inwardly.

"Well, that is none of my business, I just..." Now, she was saying to her angrily but before she could finish, Cassandra leaned in and pressed a kiss to her lips.

It was brief. Possessive. Claiming.

Then, before Lilian could react, in one fluid motion, Cassandra turned and jumped out the window, disappearing into the early morning darkness.

Lilian stood frozen, her fingers touching her lips where Cassandra's had just been.

"What the hell just happened?"

Before she could even begin to process it all, her phone rang.

She stared at it for a moment, still dazed, before reluctantly walking forward to take the phone.

"Hello?" She said into the phone.

"Get ready within ten minutes. We have a lot to do today. It's going to be a whole day." Victor's voice came through, sharp and commanding.

Lilian closed her eyes and exhaled slowly.

One nightmare had just left through her window.

And she was yet to figure out that it was another nightmare that was waiting for her on the other end of the line.
