Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: 100 Year War (5)

It was a blood bath. Body parts covered the entire battlefield. Screams and gasps of pain or anger echoed without stop, each second a soldier died in battle.

Fire and ash drifted across the battlefield as the firebenders clashed together, either being burned or being exploded from the collision. And this happened often.

The Generals were entangled in a fight against each other, their bodies bruised and their eyes holding anger and fierce determination.

At all four locations that they were supposed to attack, they had been stopped halfway, ambushed by the corrupt Generals, and the soldiers under their lead.

At this point, everyone knew they had been betrayed, though no one knew who had done it, as the betrayer had never shown a hint of this. So the only thing they could do was fight.

Meanwhile...

In the air, the Fire Nation's Norrak squatted on top of the airship, his vision zooming out, and everything within dozens of kilometres came into his sight, but it was not over yet.

Boom!

A dull sound echoed around Norrak as the space around him distorted, sending out a sharp and fast wave as if a stone was thrown into a calm lake, sending out ripples.

The rippling space charged out further and further, covering the entirety of the Capital and the surrounding cities. It covered at least 1/3 of the entirety of the Fire Nation.

The information feedback was massive, enough to fry a normal human's brain instantly hundreds of times over. But Norrak surrounded his brain with his Chi, fused with a profound water nature, and started healing it.

Norrak's brain instantly absorbed the information, a tiny ache shooting through his body. His brain healed constantly. His brain stays fresh and at the perfect optimal function.

"Hmm, it seems like Zuko and Ozai began fighting already... The others are being pushed back and even killed, though," Norrak muttered before opening his eyes.

"If all those soldiers were to die... Then that would mean the nation would be left without a way to defend itself, and for other nations, carrying hatred and anger to attack," Norrak analysed, his voice carrying a hint of threat.

The Fire Nation is the place he chose to turn into his home and for his girls. If anything happened to it or his plan had to be scrapped, then Norrak knew he would be extremely mad.

Click!

A sound akin to a photo being taken echoed faintly before Norrak teleportated back inside the airship. Appearing behind the girl, Norrak walked towards them.

"Looks like Zuko and Ozai are already fighting, while the rest of the soldiers are also fighting... Though I do not know the reason as to why this happened," Norrak said as he sat down without a hint of urgency in his tone.

"Zuzu is fighting him? What is his problem? Did he go brain dead?" Azula's eyes instantly narrowed as she spoke, anger in her tone, while she hid the worry in her eyes.

She is his brother after all.

"Looks like Zuko gathered a bunch of soldiers that do not like the Fire Lord's rule, and he tried to start a revolution... Based on what I sensed, his army is losing," Norrak revealed with a hint of admiration in his eyes.

He never thought Zuko could be capable of something like that.

"Damn, looks like this is turning into a battlefield. I wonder if I should use Dustbending... Nah, that's overkill," Toph smiled, excitement in her tone as she spoke.

Toph really wanted to fight in the war, if only to feel what it was like or to have her name become known as the greatest earthbender throughout the whole world.

"Toph, a war is not a child's play... If you get involved, that means you have to shoulder the responsibility of taking a life," Norrak spoke with an eerie tone, and Toph turned to him with surprise.

"I did not think you would care for something like this... Fine, I understand your words, but I still wanna fight," Toph smiled, her tone still firm with confidence as she spoke.

"Sigh... Fine," Norrka spoke wiht a sigh. Meanwhile, Ty Lee and Mai looked troubled to speak up about the war, but Ty Lee sighed before speaking.

"I don't know... I am not cut out to fight in a war and kill people... I would rather just disable," Ty Lee spoke her concerns with hesitation, the unwillingness to kill seeping into her tone.

"Don't worry, Ty Lee. I promise you, you don't have to kill; you can stay here and not kill anyone. You can leave it to us." Norrak smiled as he walked to Ty Lee, his warm palm resting on her head reassuringly.

Ty Lee smiled in relief, closing her eyes in joy as she felt Norrak's palm on top of her head. She pushed her head higher, wanting to feel his palm clearer and closer.

"I don't think I will be of any help in a war between benders... So I would also rather stay behind and keep Ty Lee from becoming lonely," Mai spoke up with a neutral tone, her eyes focused on Norrak with a fierce gaze.

Norrak smiled, and he nodded as he rested his other palm on top of Mai's head as well. Mai shuddered under this palm; her neutral face was betrayed as her cheek turned rosy.

"What should we do now? Should we go and help Zuko, or do we go and help the soldiers?" Katara asked Norrak, her tone filled with worry and confusion as she turned to Norrak.

"Let's do it like this, I will drop one of the three of you in a location, and you can help the soldiers fight back against the corrupted ones," Norrak spoke, clasping his hands together as space distorted around his body.

Azula, Toph and Katara stood up before walking towards Norrak. Mai and Ty Lee watched with worry for them, while Norrak clasped his hands together.

Boom!

The ground under the three cracked as they vanished from the place, sent towards a desired location with teleportation. Norrak used long-form teleportation on them.

"You two will stay here, don't come down until I come back, alright?" Norrak informed Mai and Ty Lee as his body vanished instantly, teleporting to the location where he sensed no fighting happening.

Swoosh!

"HAHAHAH! Those fools believed my acting like it was real! I betrayed them right under their nose!" The General who betrayed the Rebellion Force, Nazan, spoke loudly, proud laughter coming from his mouth.

"Ha! No wonder I like you, you bastard!" The corrupt General spoke, bringing a cup of alcohol to his lips. The soldiers around them stood still. The soldiers under Nazan were trembling.

"Oh? So it seems I have no reason to show you mercy~" Norrak spoke in the air, a lazy smirk on his face as he floated upside down, his hair hanging downwards.

"W-What?!"
