As the girl was astonished by the large scar, the silver-haired individual turned.
His hair was a mess of silver layers, each lock tapering to a sharp edge that caught the light as he moved. It almost seemed weightless in the girl's eyes. Like strands of moonlight given shape, seemingly soft yet edged like feathers of glass.
The uneven layers framed his face in a quiet, unintentional grace, brushing just above his eyes while the back flared out in a faint, rebellious sweep.
His eyes like polished silver, locked its gaze with the girl's own.
"Who are you?" he asked. Without a moment's pause, the girl, whose dark, silken hair untouched by ornament flowed freely down her back, her long strands frame her muddied face with its quiet grace, tried to answer as she rose unsteadily, "I'm Ra..."
Her voice waned, then, without another word, she collapsed.
The boar on the other hand, taken by surprise rose from a few feet away. The earlier strike seemed to have done little to no damage. It shook itself, unfazed and set out a thunderous roar, this time aimed directly at the its attacker. Lowering its head, it charged.
The individual shortly paid his respect by bowing briefly toward the fallen, before lifting the unconscious girl into his arms.
Behind them, the beast's heavy steps tore through the ground. Again, it swung one of it's massive limbs, the blow tearing through the air where they stood moments before. The silver-haired individual evaded the blow calmly, but the sheer force of the strike sent a shock wave rippling through the ground, throwing him back nearly fifty meters.
"Tch, it's hard to do anything while carrying a person." The boy muttered, annoyance flickering across his face.
The beast again noticing them, lowered its head and charged.
The boy slowly set the girl down beside the long and big root of the nearby tree, then turned to face the charging beast.
"You never learn, do you?" he said to the beast. The beast nearing its distance paid no mind to the boy's words.
He darted away swiftly from the girl's side, drawing the beast's attention. The beast also shifted its path and charged; its eyes locked only at him.
"S…er. le….ne…r... nt" The boy whispered under his breath. His silver hair glowed slightly.
Lowering his head slightly, the boy braced himself, before charging with a single explosive push from his legs.
The two closed in, then just as they were about to collide, in the blink of an eye, the boy vanished. From the boar's perspective, he had disappeared into thin air.
Only for the boar to realize that, an instant later, he appeared above its entire body. Using the jutted roots of a nearby tree to propel himself downward, He drove a kick into the creature's back.
The impact was devastating. The boar crashed into the ground with a huge impact, splitting the earth and erupting it into flying shards of dirt and stone.
"Tch, still not enough, eh? Whatever… let's just go back." the boy muttered, while walking towards the unconscious girl. Gently, he lifted her into his arms and slung her over his back. A tingle of pain ran through his back, indicating the wound he received not long ago was still not fully healed.
Paying no further mind to this thought, the boy made way to his place of stay.
..
..
After a long, weary walk, the boy finally arrived at a place known only to him, an ancient tree unique to only his eyes. The supposedly ancient tree was huge, so huge that its peak was covered in clouds, hidden from mortal sight.
At the base of the tree was a small, hollow opening. The boy carefully slid the girl inside, then followed after her.
Undiminished darkness was covering all, before the boy lit up the place with two rocks, the place itself wasn't large as it was only a part of the hollow surface, there were torn cloths and flesh hanged in the wall, swaying faintly in light.
Above the campfire, there was a large flat surfaced rock placed by putting small chunks of rocks under it in a circular pattern while leaving a gap for placing fuels.
The boy placed the trembling girl near the fire, hoping its warmth to firm her shivers. He took a torn piece of white cloth, folded it and soaked it with water from the bucket nearby.
He gently wiped the girl's face, then the hands and legs, clearing the dirt and blood away.
Taken by surprise, the boy's expression hardened, as he noticed a wound on one her legs. Soaking another torn cloth with water, he wrapped it around her wound as a form of bandage.
"The wound is not so deep, so this should be enough" he murmured, tightening the knot.
As the fire crackled softly, the boy leaned his back aganist the cold bark.
Exhaustion caught up to him, and his eyes slowly closed.
