Chapter-42: using the acid in trap to quick kill monsters
His Sherlock Holmes persona and the persona of Shikamaru are perfect for this situation. Tokuchi's persona is more related to gambling that is to collect the acid in the mug he prepared early. He anticipated this and gambled on it.
It worked and the two wolves were hit with acid became made. Also because of the bright flash spell they are blinded and opened their eyes wide in shock. So their eyes are gone. When they are in berserk state Visva did not go to them but ran towards the treasure chest in the room.
He picked the lock in this situation carefully and when he opened the treasure chest there is no trap inside. He got the contents inside without taking a look and then went to completely kill the wolves when they lost too much blood because of acid attack and bleeding.
After killing them he put them in space and directly left this place as quickly as he could and returned back to the safe room corridor. Visva cannot show his full power right now. So he did not go to the last rooms of others instead he took a quick look at other pathways.
His target is to carefully look at the pathway that has its candidate dead. Not everyone is lucky. Many people die every day. Based on what he remember there is a person that died in the pathways.
He did not remember which one but he was sure that it was close to the pathways he is from. This person is a lecher and he came all the way by depending on others and backstabbing them at the end.
That is he would look amiable to form a team to fight to the end. But he will not work much during the fight and conserve his strength. When the other party is exhausted he would go and attack them with killing blow.
When the other party died he would collect the benefits carefully and leave the floor. He did that in the past 3 floors and he killed no less than 5 people all in all. Well it is not a big number but his behavior is a bad.
Visva did not like this kind of behavior. It is not that he is a savior. He just wanted to deal with this person and get benefits from that. So when Visva found this man still struggling with the rabbits Visva moved in quickly from behind.
Looking at Visva the man put on a friendly smile and said. "You came just in time friend, help me here please. You can take the coins that fall after the fight…" Visva did not answer but smiled politely and quickly helped him kill the rabbits.
When Visva was done killing the rabbits, the man did not attack Visva instead he wanted Visva to continue to move forward. Visva also doesn't mind and moved forward killing the creatures like a hard working ant.
He also picked the locks and took the things from inside that were switched by him. When the traps appeared Visva dodged just in time to escape and the man did not strike Visva is because he would wait till the end to attack. That is his style of doing things.
He only attacks and kills exhausted people. Visva's strength can capabilities actually frightened him too much. After all Visva moved like a wind attacking those monsters really quickly. When they reached the final room the two wolves are really ferocious.
Visva used the bright flash and another trick to fight them and killed them. But this time he has injuries on his body and his clothes are torn in some areas. But it revealed the inner armor that protected Visva.
The armor is in hidden state and it looked like an inner vest so when the attack happened there are some bloody wounds on his body covering up the secret inside. With his exhausted appearance Visva dragged his body to the iron treasure chest and started to pick the lock.
The man silently came behind Visva at this moment. Visva knows that it is time to act and Visva noticed the presence of another person watching the scene. It is none other than the protagonist Robert that was checking the place.
Originally Robert was angry to see that his monsters are killed in the fourth room and the boss room was also cleared. So he started to check the areas. He immediately found the empty pathway and after moving to the other side he found the scene that is happening right now.
Visva is picking the lock while the man behind slowly approached Visva from behind intended to kill Visva using a hidden dagger on his hand. Robert did not warn Visva and concluded that this man might have stumbled on Visva that is exhausted to kill him to loot him.
After all the man looked fine while Visva looked like a bloody mess with exhaustion. Visva specifically created this illusion making it look like this man actually came to his pathways instead Visva came to his pathway.
So Visva successfully avoided the suspicion and the man approached from behind. Robert did not act immediately because he wanted to find the right opportunity when the man attacks Visva to attack him.
He suspects that this man is the one that cleared the boss room and also cleared his fourth room. Robert saw the two wolves in this room and know that the final room has big wolves and now there is not even wolves present in his room.
Based on his novel reading experience he suspects that this lazy looking sneaky man has some sort of space treasure. That explains many things that Robert was doubtful before. This made it clearer and Robert became certain that this sneaky man is the culprit.
(If this sneaky man can kill so many monsters so quickly he should be strong.) Robert thought in his heart. So Robert wanted Visva to be the bait for this sneaky man so that he can sneak upon this sneaky man to gain the final benefits.
