Chapter-6: the clue to the secret of house elves
With that he was directly taken by Auror. Dumbledore don't mind others dying. He is already so old and he doesn't mind even his own death. Why would he care for a simple house elf? With that both the house elf and the student behind it were taken for interrogation.
Winky only sighed and did not make a move. Her persona of being a simple minded idiot is her best protection. Just because she knows the plot and she is from a different world did not make Winky too prideful instead she is more inclined towards hiding in clumsiness.
Till now Barty crouch senior don't find her movements of leaving and coming. Everything is hidden so well that they don't know. To be precise they look down on house elves for being stupid and they don't even consider keeping an eye on them.
It is especially so for the pure blood families and the death eaters. To be honest this is one of their reasons for dying so quickly and losing in the end. She never underestimated these death crazed desperados.
They are stupid, yes, but they are also desperate and can do anything. So it is very dangerous to deal with them directly. Also putting your finger in the plot is even more dangerous.
Finally touching the main character with bad intentions and causing problems with original plot is deadly dangerous. Morph has just the taboo point and got burnt along with the person behind him.
Here Winky did not have to do anything and Morph directly died in his own. Winky simply nodded and went to do her thing without taking many breaks. Her target is till to find the secret of the elves.
Her days have gone by without much hindrance because she is using the invisibility cloak to do the things carefully. After many days of hard work and the incidents with both Hermione and Penelope being petrified the situation finally came to an end at around the end of the year.
Well the entire flow has still followed the plot without much change even with the interference of Morph. Originally Hermione would petrify trying to find what this creature is. But now she was petrified trying to find the weakness of the monster.
Penelope Clearwater is quite brave and she went out to patrol as usual and was petrified. Others are also the same with slightly different reasons as if it was the secondary setting to adjust the flow of the plot.
At that time when Penelope woke up Percy came to rub her good will in order to get her love or at least solve his attraction. Winky knows that their love is fleeting and it is not a stable one, Percy is ambitious and not a good person.
So she wrote a letter telling her that the things might not be the same as Percy said and she has to be careful. Don't give herself to Percy before they are really a couple and see his true nature before making the choice.
Winky did not give her this letter now but long before when she came to Hogwarts. The letter has two parts one is the warning and the second is a detailed account of what might happen and what has happened.
She did not expect that the things would be like this. She might believe the contents of the letter or she might not believe it the end result is still the same. The point of Winky giving this letter is not to change her plot direction instead to plant the seed of doubt.
For characters like Penelope that are mostly perfectionists they would not tolerate doubt. They would check the things more and more till they are satisfied. Even if they are satisfied they would still check more to find the problem.
To them the straight forward things are much better than the complicated things that would make them fall into the endless loop of doubts. So Winky has created this doubt and Percy can never get her in his life.
In any world there is no good and bad or hero or villain. It is the initiative at the right point, right situation and right side that would decide the final outcome of everything. Things change like the rushing river stumbling upon a sharp bend.
The winners write the history as good people. Winners are always good and they are righteous. But the point is that they have to put the right word at the right time to become completely righteous and point out the bad points perfectly to become righteous.
Winky continued to go to Hogwarts to study things but did not make much progress even after going to the forbidden section of the library and read books there at night. Winky was present when Winky got his freedom back and got a job offer from Dumbledore.
This time she disguised as a male house elf and talked to other house elves at Hogwarts to find out if they know of any information related to the original elves or other things. The process is very slow because most house elves likes to work nonstop.
They basically did not give her any information. Well Winky is not discouraged instead she wanted to know more about this information. She noticed that they are hiding something so she took a different approach.
She found them alone and gave them something like a sedative and started to hypnotize them to tell Winky the truth. Soon she got the news she wanted. There is really information but the information is present in the office of Dumbledore.
There are many people guarding this place through portraits. It is the notes written by the founders of Hogwarts that was carefully hidden in the office of the head master under the eyes of other head masters of the school from the portraits.
