Davin reached the nearest thug. Crack! A kick broke the thug's leg bone, and a follow-up kick shattered all the ribs on his left side, causing them to pierce his heart, before the man could even draw his machete.
The thug immediately went limp, dying.
Another thug attacked with an iron pipe. Davin blocked it with his forearm—as if his bones were made of steel—and instantly retaliated with a strike to the throat, piercing the throat causing the thug to choke and fall, dying.
The Boss kept shooting, but every bullet missed. Davin seemed to be able to read the trajectory of the bullets.
Davin picked up a nail scattered on the floor—debris from the destroyed door—and threw it with deadly force and accuracy.
Thwip!
Cuss!
The nail embedded itself right in the Boss's hand that was holding the pistol, making him scream in pain and drop his weapon.
Absolute chaos ensued. Fifteen thugs against one man, but that one man was a storm of death.
Every move Davin made was efficient and lethal: bone breaks, nerve strikes, crushing kicks.
He wasn't playing around. This wasn't to incapacitate. This was to kill.
This was the price for those who dared to kidnap his wife.
In less than two minutes, fifteen thugs lay on the floor, dead, none of them breathing anymore.
Only the Boss remained, sitting, clutching his nailed hand, his face pale with fear.
Davin wasn't even out of breath. He walked towards Vania, carefully removed the tape from her mouth, and untied her.
Feeling Davin's touch, Vania finally opened her eyes. She immediately hugged her husband tightly, her body still trembling.
"Davin... I... I knew you would come..." she sobbed.
Davin held her for a moment, his eyes still full of unrelenting rage. "I promised I would always protect you," he whispered, his voice gentle only for her.
Only now did Vania look around and see the many fallen men. She couldn't believe this was Davin's doing, so she asked, "Did the police come and shoot them?"
Davin nodded. "Yes. I came with the police. But they are outside and shot these kidnappers from outside."
The Boss thug furrowed his brow hearing Davin's lie, because it was clear, there wasn't a single policeman in this place. There were no shots from outside, only the killings performed by this terrifying man.
The Boss thug didn't dare make any suspicious moves because he was afraid of suffering the same fate as all his men.
Vania nodded upon hearing Davin's answer. This explained everything that happened in this room. Because even though she had closed her eyes, she had indeed heard the sound of several gunshots.
Then, Davin turned to the terrified Boss. Davin walked towards him, and each step was like thunder to the thug.
"Who hired you?" asked Davin, his voice low but vibrating with restrained violence.
"W... who are you?!" the Boss answered with a question, extreme fear making him stammer.
Davin didn't answer. He just punched the Boss once in the face, making him scream in pain. "Arrrggghhh!"
"WHO HIRED YOU?!"
"KEVIN! KEVIN SANTOSA!" shouted the Boss, finally breaking. "HE PAID! HE WANTED US TO RAPE THAT WOMAN AND MAKE A VIDEO TO RUIN HER REPUTATION! TO MAKE HER LOOK LIKE A SLUT! IT WAS HIS IDEA!"
Davin lifted his foot. His face was cold. He had suspected it. But hearing the confession, something inside him seemed to snap.
From the still-active car speakers, Howard's voice was heard. "Davin, Rey and his team are outside. They have captured Kevin."
Davin nodded slowly. He looked at Vania, who was now looking at him with a mixture of gratitude, fear, and deep confusion. She had just witnessed her "ordinary" husband transform into a figure who was terrifying to that thug.
"Van," Davin said, his voice back to normal, as if the explosion of violence had never happened. "I have to go for a moment. Rey and his friends will pick you up, take you to a safe place. I will catch up."
"You... where are you going?" asked Vania, still trembling.
Davin looked at her, and for the first time, he did not hide the darkness in his eyes. "I have to finish this. For good."
---
Davin stepped out of the shattered warehouse, leaving the horrific scene behind him: fifteen Leopard thugs lay helpless, their lives gone.
His hand tightly gripped the arm of the Leopard Boss, dragging him like a child.
The thug, who had been so arrogant before, now looked very small and frightened, his face pale from the pain of the nail wound in his hand and the one punch from Davin that had left him powerless.
Outside, the dark night atmosphere was illuminated by the lights of numerous parked black cars.
Rey, the "Number Six" with a cold, tattooed face, immediately approached and bowed slightly, showing deep respect to Davin.
"Boss," said Rey, his voice low and full of obedience.
"Where is Kevin?" asked Davin, his voice flat but containing a terrifying threat.
Rey pointed towards a dark van. "In there, Boss. He has confessed to everything. He was the one who ordered the rape of Madam Vania." Rey's face also showed anger. Even in the underworld, harming women was considered despicable by many. "What do you want to do with him, Boss?"
Davin released the Leopard Boss, who was immediately seized by two of Rey's men. "Clean all this up. And make sure he is never a threat again. Permanently."
After that, Davin stared towards the van. Through the tinted window, he could see the silhouette of Kevin sitting, guarded by two large thugs.
A cruel and meticulous plan began to form in his mind. He couldn't just kill Kevin. That would leave traces, and although his family could cover it up, it would raise unwanted questions, especially from Vania. He needed a more... elegant way.
