Chapter 13 - I just think it’s not easy for you either

  morning.

  "What happened to your door?"

Hongdou walked into Yuhi Kurenai's room and couldn't help but ask curiously.

At this moment, Xihihong was curled up in the corner of the bed, holding a pillow in her arms, still wearing a red nightgown.

"What time is it? Why haven't you gotten up yet? Did you drink again last night?" Hongdou said when she saw the wine utensils on the table.

She sat down on the sofa very casually, as if she was at home.

Seeing no response, he turned to look at Xihi Kurenai and found that she looked very listless, with heavy dark circles under her eyes.

  "What's wrong?" Hongdou was startled.

"Is there a thief in the house? Did you have a fight? Are you okay? Where's the thief? Did he get away?"

Hongdou hurried to the bedside and asked a lot of questions out of worry.

Xihi Kurenai finally reacted, just looked at her calmly, and then scratched her hair irritably.

  "It's okay," she said.

"...I was drunk last night and forgot to bring my keys when I went out, so I chiseled the door."

After saying this, Xihi Kurenai looked away again.

Hongdou noticed that she seemed to be in a bad mood, and asked worriedly, "Is something wrong? Your lips..."

"I said nothing happened..." Xihihong's voice suddenly became louder, but then stopped abruptly.

  "Feel sorry."

She bit her lower lip and lay back on the bed, leaving Hongdou with her back.

Xihihong thought that since she was a child, the men in her circle of friends had always been respectful to her. Even her childhood sweetheart Asuma did not dare to do anything inappropriate to her.

What happened last night made her feel infinitely wronged and humiliated.

Guan Yuelong's mocking face lingered in her mind like a demon, and she couldn't get rid of it, keeping her awake all night.

This damn guy must be made to pay the price!

Yuhi Kurenai thought with gritted teeth.

She suddenly sat up again, startling Hongdou who was sitting on the edge of the bed and hesitating about how to comfort her.

"Are Xuanjian and the others going to teach that guy a lesson?" Xihihong said to Hongdou.

"That guy?" Hongdou was surprised, and then reacted.

"You're talking about Guan Yuelong. Why are you asking him?"

Xihi Kurenai calmed down instantly, "It's okay, just asking."

Hongdou felt strange but didn't care. She shrugged and said, "They said yes, let them be."

"I don't care, but I don't agree with this approach."

"I thought about it carefully when I got home that day. After all, that little brat Guan Yuelong saved my life, so at most we're even. Wouldn't it be too petty of me to deliberately cause trouble for him?"

"Xiyan doesn't seem to agree either. How about I ask her to talk to Jifeng later and let this matter go."

"But what if they have already started, or are planning to start?"

  "Red, what do you think?"

Hongdou seemed to be talking to herself, and the expression on her face kept changing with her words.

  Xihi Kurenai stared at her.

  "You favor him?"

Hongdou was shocked: "I don't have it!"

"How is that possible?" She put on a disdainful expression again.

"Just this little brat? Why does he have the right?"

Hongdou also seemed to be a little annoyed suddenly, and waved her hands and said, "Forget it, Xuanjian and the others can do whatever they want."

Xihihong swallowed what she was about to say and said calmly, "Don't associate with this guy anymore. His reputation will cause you trouble. Besides, you saw what kind of person he is the other day. It's not worth your bother."

Hongdou curled her lips when she heard that, "I know that without you telling me."

She stood up and turned to look at Xihihong again.

"Asuma organized a party with Kai and Kakashi, which is quite rare. He asked me to call you. Will you come?"

Xihihong fell on the bed with her back facing up, staring blankly at the ceiling.

"Just say I'm sick and feeling unwell."

Hongdou pouted, with an expression that said, "I knew it."

"Also, don't let Asuma come to me."

  "Okay, I'm leaving."

  "Close the door."

"What difference does it make whether your door is closed or not? Find someone to fix it right away."

  Bang!

  The room fell silent again.

Xihihong lay on the bed in a daze. She wanted to stretch out her arm to cover her eyes, but she saw purple marks on her wrist.

Everything that happened last night began to flash back in my mind.

She closed her eyes in pain.

  Damn bastard!

  hateful...

  In the barbecue restaurant.

"Where's Hong?" Asuma asked when he saw that Hongdou was the only one there.

"She's sick and can't come." Hongdou said as she sat down opposite him.

"Why did you suddenly get sick? You were fine just two days ago?" Kai asked puzzledly.

"I don't know. She looks quite haggard and in a bad mood." Hongdou said, "I advise you not to bring bad luck upon her."

  Asuma remained silent.

"Where's Kakashi?" Anko asked when she saw they were alone.

Kai was somewhat helpless: "Here he comes, and then he leaves again."

"Kakashi just suddenly received a mission and left immediately." Asuma added.

"He is an Anbu after all, and the captain at that." Hongdou nodded in understanding, but when she mentioned Anbu, a figure flashed through her mind.

  "Have you ordered yet?"

Taking the menu, Hongdou started to tick the boxes on it.

"So it's just the three of us in the end?" she said.

"It's too late to call others now." Asuma said.

"What are you still yelling about?" Hongdou rolled her eyes and said, "The protagonist isn't here yet."

Asuma coughed lightly and didn't respond.

"Aren't Akai and I just your tools?"

After being exposed, Asuma felt somewhat helpless and simply said directly, "I've asked her out many times, but she never wanted to come out. I thought it would be okay this time since everyone was here."

"Then it's really unfortunate for you." Hongdou said, picking up the teapot beside her and pouring herself a cup.

  "Who made her sick?"

"I'd better go see her." Asuma hesitated.

"You are just too anxious." She began to criticize and educate Asma.

"You don't understand a girl's mind at all. Do you think she will be attracted to you just by having a meal together and giving her flowers?"

  Asuma was speechless.

"I really can't guess what Hong is thinking..." he muttered.

Hongdou paused in drinking her tea. When she thought of Yuhikuren, she suddenly remembered her swollen lips and the bruises on her wrists when they met today.

"You two... have known each other since childhood," she said calmly.

"Well, we are all like that," Asuma said. They all started at the Ninja School and have been friends for more than ten years.

  "Childhood sweethearts." Hongdou said.

  Asuma just smiled, "What's wrong?"

Hongdou just continued to sip her tea, holding the edge of the cup, and the white hot steam filled her eyes.

"Nothing... I just think it's not easy for you either."

"If only she could think that way," Asuma chuckled.

  "…Perhaps."
