Chapter 1 - CHAPTER ONE: THE LAST OF MY SANITY

Being had become like second nature to me. There I was late yet again. I struggled to pat my caressly ironed pensil dress dress against my body and drink my tea at the same time. My alarm went off again and I snoozed it and pushed it another ten minutes ahead. This was the fifteenth time I had snoozed it. The first five times was me adding myself ten more minutes of sleep. Five times. The second five was me trying to pull my half awake body out of bed and the last were me trying to bath while cooking breakfast while ironing my clothes and while styling my hair. That wasn't possible of course.

The chocking smell of burning fabric filled the air suddenly and I'm then reminded that I had left my work blazer under the hot ironing box. Why does nature hate me? I rush to rescure the fair white piece of fabric but it's already too late as the new burnt gaping hole above my left breast stairs at me.

I'm not a lazy person nor do I love to postpone but I'm a career woman who hates her job and has a secret obsession about writing fanfictions and novels. Having promised my writes to update two chapters every day was my only mistake. I had first decided to write for fun back when I was in my final year of college. Back then I had a lot of time on my hands since I was bad at keeping social relations. My book had got a lot of love and my pen name cursedink had developed a small funbase.

However love can be a curse in itself. Perhaps I had cursed myself with my pen name because my stupid promise had sank me into slavely. I once failed to update and my comments had grown so dark I was left shaking under my covers for days. The only thing that saved me from getting a beating from my readers perhaps was the fact that the didn't know my government name. They didn't know if I was male or female and that was the only blessing. Even so they had cursed me till my third generation and some even speculated I was a fat ugly man in my forties. One even speculated that maybe I passed away and even attracted a few RIP heartfelt messages.

I didn't learn my lesson the first time and even started a second book right after finishing the first. I rather love conspiracies and so I started a new book. THE LAST OF HIS KIND. It was only four weeks old on the site but my fanbase had doubled overnight. I wished to rename it LAST OF MY SANITY, because it was putting me under so much pressure I hadn't gotten a full night sleep since I started it. The previous day I updated one chapter instead of two and if I hadn't begged my fans and lied that I was sick they could have cursed till my sevent generation. In return I had to update three chapters before I went to bed. I had barely placed my head on the pillow when my alarm went off. It was lucky it didn't have a neck and I was too broke to break it.

My alarm went off again and I jumped a few centimeters in the air before shutting it down. If I didn't leave soon my boss was going to have my skinny butt on a silver platter. The short mean woman was so mean she could freeze you with a glare. I shuddered leaving my barely drank cup of tea before rushing for the door. My heels clicked caressly on the stairs of my apartment that didn't have an elevator. Lucky I only stayed on the second floor. I didn't stop even after busting out of the building. My heels pressed on the gravel as my weight pressed onto them while I ran to the bus stop.

I could see the bus come to sight and I waved for the driver to wait. What a lucky ...

My train of thought is cut when in slow motion a foot was intentionally placed in my path. I screamed and instinctively hesitated in my step while trying to catch myself and instead lost my footing. I flew forward my legs knocked to each other but instead of falling a pair of hands swiftly caught me harshly before a sack was thrown on my head and my world went dark.

It doesn't take me long to realize what had happened and I immediately struggled against the bruising grip on both my hands which are held tightly behind me. My body was pulled onto a tall hard body restraining my movements entirely. I struggled with all my strength as panic set deep in my stomach and a feeling of dread settled in my heart.

"Let me go please" I begged when the person behind me no doubt a man started moving forward steadly. Before long the screeching tires of a vehicle stopped right in front of us and he let go of me with a rough push. I was sent flying for a second before landing on my hands on a colds floor of no doubt a vehicle.

Oh no!

" Help! Help!" I yelled in panick hoping a good Samaritan could swoop in and save me in time but my voice was muffled by the sudden bang of the door and we were on the move.

"The underground werehouse" a gruff voice said. It was the voice of my abductor. I had never heard the voice before and I was pretty good at remembering voices. My breath comes in gasps as fear begins to seep into my bones. Did I really manage to offend someone this much?

"You have the wrong person" I said as loudly as I can.

"I'm just a starting journalist all I do is write news for my superiors. Let me go please." I try again and I am ignored. Just when was about to move my hands and rip the sack of my face my hands were captured and bound tightly behind my back. I have always hated being restrained or being confined in small spaces. When he tied by legs too I lost it and I forgot how to breathe. My lungs rose and fell hashly as panic flooded my every melancholic cell and suddenly was suffocating.

"Please!" I begged pitifully as my air supply became smaller and smaller in the cage in my head.

"She is going to faint" another voice said slightly bored.

"I didn't even gag her" The gruff voice answered again with a lack of emotional. At the mention of a gag all hell broke loose in my mind it and suddenly I couldn't breath at all. Black dots started to occupy my vision and I fought to stay conscious.

I can't lose both my mobility and be gagged. Sweat poured down my back as I tried to calm down but it was futile. I was being kidnapped and I didn't know why? I'm I going to die just like this? Did those fans of mind jinx me? I'm I going to die without seeing my sixth generation? I could feel my head becoming light.

"What a bother" the bored voice sighed before a hand squeezes the area where my neck meets my shoulders and consciousness sliped from me swiftly before I was plunged into darkness.
