Chapter 10 - Mother

Shortly after passing the gate… there was really nothing much but farm land–quite sparse but a few shanties and the regular townage.

They walked through the muddy road soft from the rain and around them the glistening of the water on the tomatoes, corns and grape vines lightly illuminated their view with their colors.

The faint scent of the rain–light and earthy–wafted up into their noses; and for a second Syme had forgotten her honestly quite miserable disposition as she took in the senses around them.

Despite her loss of freedom, it seemed that now the things which she had neglected–such as the amenities of nature, of the common life in the countryside, the sun in the sky and the cool breeze–were blooming great color in her new perspective.

For a while she smiled.

She remembered the days of her childhood in the beaming sun, the sweat that glistened on her forehead as she ran through the wheat fields, and how her parents would wash her down with the hose magically enchanted by one of the priests working in the local church.

So, for a while she smiled.

For a while she had forgotten about all the tragedies in her life.

And the devil on her shoulder, literally, knowing this simply let her enjoy it for a while.

He wasn't so evil–perhaps.

What snapped her out of her daydream was the nudge from Rain's small human hand.

"Look, maybe we can stay there."

It was a small humble church building similar to the one in Syme's home town. On the outside, there was a garden full of lilacs being watered by an old hunched-over man in priestly vestments.

"Hi, excuse me, do you work at this church sir?" Syme asked per a tacit command of her master.

It was obvious he was a priest here but still, the old man smiled and responded "yes, how may I be of service?"

Witfully, Syme spun a lie.

"We were traveling from a nearby town to visit the Barony when we were attacked by a group of wolfish monsters. I was able to fight them off but we got lost and sustained some injuries. Is there a chance we can stay here?"

Being a kind man the old man responded in kind, "of course. Tending to those in need is the greatest worship of Her Majesty Michaiah above."

"I'll get you all settled in. Now come." the old man gestured with his hand to follow.

Letting a devil in a church with open arms, it's quite ironic isn't it?

The church, though sparse in people, was quite cozy and rightfully pious to its designation of church–though we shall see if the higher echelons of power fare the same…

"Right here" called the old man looking back, "it's not much but it's all we have. There's a shower if you take a left straight down the hall. There should be a new change of clothes inside already, we will get some visitors after all."

"Thank you," replied Syme, still carrying Rain on her back, "It's more than enough."

The old priest smiled back, "of course, all is in the way of Her Majesty, and may Her blessings be upon you."

Syme nodded back in response.

Hopping off of her back, Rain sashayed down the hall, making some creaking noises against the wooden floorboards.

Through Syme's soul which he had authority over, he made her follow him in suit.

The church, wholly, was made mostly of wood except the shower room they had just entered. It had a wooden locking contraption at the door and one humble magically crafted spout and a drain that flowed to wherever it did.

"Well…" Rain said with a subtle grin on his face, "it looks like we're going to have to share."

"What? No… no, you can go first, it's.. I…" Syme stuttered, slightly blushing.

"This is a command" Rain replied with finality, "plus, you're acting as my mother now, it's normal for a mother and their child to share a wash. I mean, look how small and dirty I am, I can't even reach my back all the way."

His grin widened, almost forcedly so to an exuberant shit-eating one.

Syme looked on with fear and embarrassment… "only natural for mother and…"

She put her hands on her face trying to hide the redness on her cheeks like a little school girl.

"Only… natural for mother and son…" she repeated again, knowing she had no choice as the grip on her being was tightened.

"Now undress and get washed. There's nothing to be scared of, and there's only so much time in a day."

'Undress…!'

She knew it was coming, but hearing it was different than knowing.

Still, she could not disobey.

So, slowly she started removing her outer garments, then unraveling her grey tunic, revealing her toned abs, peachy skin, and a pair of modest pair of breasts–not large but plenty and pneumatic–of which the areolas she tried to cover with one arm as the other made its way down to her baggy trousers.

But before she could remove them herself, the little imp, with a hop and the force of gravity pulled them down in a blink, revealing the white undergarments she donned beneath.

Caught off guard, she immediately sank to her knees with her butt resting on the heels of her foot trying to hide as much as possible.

"You're taking too long, mother." the little imp replied, putting specific emphasis on the mother.

Timidly, she glanced up to meet his lilac eyes but then snapped her head away as he was already completely naked.

Stand

A voice echoed within her soul. And without a moment to resist, she stood up with her arms to the side, revealing her bare body to the peering eyes of this devil.

She was red like a tomato, and despite her greatest desire to resist, she could not as he pulled her undergarments down, tossing them to a cleaning basket off-side.

Underneath all of the dust and blood, one could tell that though she was no voluptuous nymph, she had curves in all the places that mattered–supple, simple and innocently so.

Rain on the other hand, still a child in stature was unimpressive other than his pale skin that still looked quite healthy despite the common knowledge of complexions.

"What's the matter, mother?" Rain teased, "let's hurry to the shower."

"This…" she couldn't believe what was happening, but after a bit, she had accepted reality and that this intimacy would be quite common amongst her and…. Her child.

The water from the shower was warm. Steam filled up the room, and if it wasn't for the little imp's current form, plans, location, and preference of when to pick his fruit, there would most indubitably be squeals and moans of pleasuring reverberating out the heat and steam.

Alas, alas, it was not the time yet. He would wait until he could manifest a larger form–he had standards, still.

Syme, still slightly perturbed by the situation and the wandering eyes of this devil washed shyly, letting the natural flow of water do most of the work; and only after much coaxing and coercion did she allow Rain to scrub the dirt from her back, and for her to reciprocate his kindness.

After showering, they found a pair of white cloth garments to wear temporarily as promised by the old priest.

He had also informed the two that some of the nuns would be bringing back more complete sets of clothes for the two of them the next morning, which put Syme's mind at ease just a little.

And after the sun set, she closed her eyes in bed with Rain cuddled in her arms as she tried to forget about all the haunting memories of the day–and that this dark-stalker would not be hunting her anymore but was instead snuggly in her presence.

It was truly a reversal since the days prior.

Subconsciously, she had moved her arms in a position to strangle him unable to resolve her mind's turmoil until she heard:

"Good night, mother" making her blush all over, releasing a sigh of resignation knowing all her rebellious thoughts were futile.

This little imp is enjoying this too much!

But alas, it was what it was.
