Chapter 436 - Chapter 436

"Don't get cocky! I've never missed my mark since the day I picked up a blade! Today, I'll take your head as tribute to my sword!"

Blood dripping from his split lip, Bullseye staggered forward, eyes bloodshot, muttering like a man possessed. His machete gleamed under the flickering lights as he charged again.

Ryuuto snorted. "Gwen, this guy's gone full psycho. He's swinging like he's in a fever dream."

Gwen smirked under her mask. "All the more reason to put him out of his misery."

They moved as one. Ryuuto's decapitating blade sang through the air, slicing Bullseye's machete clean in half. In the same breath, Gwen's web shot out, wrapping tightly around the assassin's neck. His face turned purple, his legs kicked in panic.

"You two… cowards!" Bullseye rasped, face swelling, eyes bulging. He still managed to draw a hidden knife and stab at Ryuuto's chest.

"Legendary Two-Blade Combo, ever heard of it?" Ryuuto quipped, stepping aside. "Guess not. Shame you won't live to learn it."

The next instant, his blade flashed—Bullseye's arm hit the ground, spraying crimson arcs. Gwen's web followed like lightning, binding a knife midair and driving it through the man's temple with merciless precision. Bullseye's body went limp before it even hit the floor.

Hidden behind the ruins, Kingpin—watched, trembling with rage. "That was my top assassin!" His fist slammed into the dirt hard enough to bruise his knuckles.

"Boss… the two cases of cash didn't make it out either," one of his men stammered.

"What!?" Kingpin pressed his gun against the man's forehead, finger twitching on the trigger. "Say that again!"

"B-boss, we should retreat! If we stay, we're—"

"Stay and die," Ryuuto's voice cut in coldly as he and Gwen dropped down from the rafters. "Guess that saves me the trouble of hunting you rats down."

"Damn you!" Kingpin grabbed the nearest thug and threw him forward like a human shield. "All of you—kill them! Show them what the Kingpin's men are made of!"

He hurled two grenades in the chaos, then turned to flee.

"Fire Style: Fire Dragon Bomb!"

Ryuuto exhaled flames like a cannon, engulfing the grenades and the thugs stupid enough to stay. The explosion swallowed half the prison yard in a roaring inferno.

"Hot enough for you?" Gwen teased.

Kingpin screamed as the edge of the blast scorched his coat. Before he could limp away, Gwen's web wrapped around his ankles and yanked—hard. He hit the dirt face-first with a sickening crunch.

"Leaf Whirlwind!"

Ryuuto's kick connected square with Kingpin's gut, launching him into the air and into a crater, coughing blood.

"Ugh… smells like bad sushi," Ryuuto muttered, fanning the air.

"Handle it, I'll cheer you on," Gwen said brightly, hopping onto a wall.

Kingpin roared and lunged, wrapping his arms around Ryuuto's waist in a desperate bear hug. He lifted and slammed him headfirst into the ground—but the body vanished in a puff of smoke.

"Up here, dumbass!"

Ryuuto's voice came from above. He dropped down, fist glowing with Tsunade's monstrous strength. The punch landed squarely on Kingpin's jaw, driving him deep into the ground—hard enough to leave a crater dozens of meters wide.

"You… you're not even human…" Kingpin wheezed, blood and teeth spilling from his mouth.

Ryuuto cracked his neck. "You can tell me all about it in hell. Wood Style: Wooden Pillar Wall!"

Giant wooden logs crashed down, crushing the mob boss where he lay.

[Ding! Mission Complete. System Experience: 2.3 – Upgrade Available!]

Ryuuto grinned. "Oi, Shion, mind upgrading this tin can system already? You're lagging worse than a 2008 PC."

[Ugh, fine! Initiating upgrade. But you better keep grinding, Host—Shion doesn't help freeloaders.]

"Yeah, yeah. Try not to explode mid-update, alright?"

The holographic chibi avatar of Shion pouted before fading. Ryuuto chuckled, wiped his blade clean, and turned to Gwen.

"Let's bail. Bobby and the others can mop up."

"Finally," Gwen said, swinging a strand of web. "Dinner's on you this time, Red Mirage."

"Deal. Just don't order anything that costs more than my dignity."

They vanished into the city night, leaving the burning wreckage of the Kingpin's empire behind.
