Although it was three weeks in the pocket dimension Shion was sucked into, in the outer world only three days passed.
Within Zenkai Dojo's morning training grounds, Kairo and Takumi were having a 1v1 match with Instructor Lewin there to watch and act as judge.
**Earlier that day**
"Sir, please come watch us fight. PLEASSEEEE SIRRR!" Takumi said on his knees, begging.
"Why do you need me? Ask another student, or better yet, ask Lady Nevara," Lewin said, smirking.
Hearing Nevara's name, shivers went through Kairo's spine. "She's too busy, sir."
"AND I AM JOBLESS???" Lewin raged.
"No, sir. You just have a lot of free time and are doing nothing 100% of the time when class isn't ongoing," Takumi said, trying to act wise and serious.
Sighing, Lewin shook his head and said, "Alright, but just a 10-minute match and that's it."
"YES SIRRR!" Takumi rejoiced. "Better start begging now," he said, turning to Kairo.
"Try your best, hehehe," Kairo replied, smirking like someone with a plan—and he did have a plan.
They reached the training grounds and stood 10 feet from each other, waiting for Instructor Lewin's signal.
"Ready, and g-" He stopped as he felt his balance on the ground wavering.
The ground shook. Kairo and Takumi felt it too. Everyone in the dojo did.
THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!
The tremors grew stronger, then stopped abruptly.
Then they heard it.
CRACK! CRACK!
Kairo and Takumi looked up. The sky was splitting open—black rifts tearing through reality trying to enter through the black hole that manifested. And through those rifts, something was falling. Beasts. Dozens of them, plummeting toward Astralyn from all angles.
Immediately Lewin disappeared from behind them, reappearing 300 feet ahead and continuing to move.
Kairo and Takumi were already on the move. The beasts were high up in the air, still falling. The instructors gathered and started launching large-scale attacks from below to eliminate the threats.
"Put up the barriers, put them up!!!" the guards around the dojo shouted. Soon after, a white veil covered the whole dojo area. The instructors all started walking or jumping high to go above the barrier to engage in combat with the beasts that had fallen on the white veil and were trying to get inside.
Below on the ground, students went in pairs of four to survey the grounds in case any beast fell by mistake.
Takumi and Kairo were on their own until they saw Sayaka at the Zenkai library, fighting a tier 2 beast that had dropped before the barrier could go up.
Kairo vanished, stepping into the void space and reappearing seconds later in front of the four-eyed creature. The creature launched an attack with its right hand. Kairo dodged, but the impact sent him flying.
"Vincta Corpus...Bound Body," Sayaka said, holding her two hands together, using a move of hers that temporarily holds the opponent still for a few seconds.
Takumi saw this opportunity and leaped high into the sky, forming a condensed fireball in massive form.
Kairo vanished from the distance he was thrown back from and walked slowly towards the beast, saying, "Cordis Ruptura...Rupture of the Heart." Disappearing and reappearing just behind the beast, its eyes rolled back as it lost consciousness.
Sayaka let go of her skill and jumped a few steps back with Kairo, and Takumi, who had been preparing his move, descended with precision.
"Blazepoint...Scorchblast!!" Takumi landed the condensed strike on the unconscious beast, creating a massive explosion so huge it cleared most of the trees around it and broke some of the buildings of the library.
"HEYY, BE CAREFUL THERE'S A LIBRARY THERE YOU FOOL," Sayaka said, shouting at Takumi from a distance.
"Ah, sorry sorry," Takumi came out of the smoke dusting his burnt cloth.
Kairo looked up. His expression turned to awe. He could not see a thing.
The instructors and Senseis were moving at a certain level of speed that made it look like nothing was happening, but Kairo could see clangs of their blades slicing the beasts mercilessly.
"Come on guys, now is not the time to be amazed," Sayaka said, snapping Kairo back to his senses. "We have to get to the south side of the dojo. I think another one dropped there."
The trio hurried their way up to the south where the senseis live, but none was there as they were fighting the beasts above.
They split up and Kairo went to the female senseis' quarters without knowing. He surveyed the area, teleporting from one space to another. Then he sensed a powerful being with a high essence signature coming from one of the buildings there.
He entered the building, checking room by room. Then from behind he was hijacked with force he could not overcome. He struggled to get out but he was thrown to the bed and found Nevara on top of him, WITHOUT HER GLASSES.
"Hello there my prince." Nevara started kissing Kairo and he could not resist as unconsciously Nevara was using the full force of her ability to keep him pinned down to the bed.
She was wearing just a long top, half asleep and wasn't aware of anything she was doing.
Kairo tried and tried but in the end he couldn't resist.
Sayaka and Takumi went round and met each other at the other side.
"Hey, you seen Kairo?" Takumi asked.
"No, I haven't," Sayaka replied.
"He went to check the other quarters."
"WAIT, WHICH QUARTER??"
Takumi pointed to the female sensei quarters.
Sayaka's heart raced and she ran towards the quarters. Then she felt the immense energy too.
She entered the building and started checking room by room and saw Kairo and Nevara.
Her face turned red. She immediately turned away. Shortly after, Takumi came looking at Sayaka's red face.
"What's going on? Why are you so red?"
Sayaka stuttered, "The- they ar- are havin-" She slowly pointed to the room where Kairo and Nevara were and Takumi slowly walked towards it.
Takumi moved closer and closer as he tried to see what was happening.
