Selene POV
Morning did not arrive the way it used to. The usual morning am used to, is the morning of waking up in a room, on a bed. Not this one that, am waking up in a forest, but not just anyhow forest.
When i woke, the world felt different.
My heat was gone.
In its place was a steady warmth, a balance that radiated outward, touching everything around me. Even the forest seemed to respond, leaves stirring softly as if greeting a queen.
But as I watched my move through the morning light, glowing with newfound strength and grace, a ripple passed through the bond, not of peace, but of anticipation.
Because the moon had not taken everything it came for.
And somewhere deep within the pull of our bond, something else was beginning to awaken, something that would demand its own reckoning when the time came, and when it did, nothing in our world would remain untouched by it.
