Selene's POV
Light swallowed everything.
For a breathless instant, I felt weightless, suspended in a blinding sea of white. It was not painful, nor overwhelming. Instead it was warm, familiar in an ancient way, as if the glow knew me, called to me, embraced me like a long-lost part of myself. My limbs felt both heavy and light, my senses stretching, widening, as though consciousness itself was expanding beyond the boundaries of my body.
"Selene," Nymeria's voice echoed inside me, but it was no longer a whisper, it was a resonance, a vibration that hummed through my bones. "It is time."
Time for what?
But the question barely formed before everything inside me shifted.
