As far as Fenric knew.
Elder Centipede possessed another terrifying trait: regenerative ability.
In the original timeline, during its battle with Genos, it had been injured by Genos's Super Spiral Burning Cannon after he drilled into its body. Yet it quickly regenerated from within!
Such regenerative capacity was horrifying!!
Therefore, eliminating the Elder Centipede would not be easy.
Fenric estimated that under normal circumstances, he likely could not kill it...
At this moment.
Elder Centipede, having righted itself, fixed its ravenous gaze upon Fenric.
This time, it no longer dared to treat him as an ordinary human.
Although Fenric's punch had not inflicted serious damage, it had left the monster momentarily dazed...
One must remember that the Elder Centipede's body weighed at least tens of thousands of tons.
For a human to flip it over with a single punch was proof of terrifying strength.
A true powerhouse!!
Though furious, Elder Centipede had not lost its rationality.
It slowly advanced toward Fenric, preparing to retaliate for the blow it had just suffered.
However,
At that very moment!
High in the sky, Fenric's body suddenly began to transform!
(Indestructible Demon Body is activating...)
Dark energy began to seep from his form.
Sinister and oppressive.
Then, a sea of flames erupted around him, spreading outward in a radius of nearly twenty meters.
Within that inferno, even the air itself seemed to burn!
This was hellfire—immensely destructive!
"!!"
The Elder Centipede's heart trembled.
It could sense that the flames surrounding Fenric posed a genuine threat.
Meanwhile, inside the Hero Association's headquarters in City A, the senior officials watched in astonishment.
"His body seems to be undergoing some kind of transformation?"
"What's happening?"
"I'm not sure, but it looks like he's unlocking even greater power!"
"What? He already possesses such strength—can he still grow stronger?"
...
The next instant.
Majestic dragon-shaped armor materialized from the flames and enveloped Fenric.
In the blink of an eye, he was fully clad in armor, radiating an aura that seemed to dominate the world itself.
Then, Fenric opened his eyes.
They were blood-red—piercing and mesmerizing.
The moment the Elder Centipede met his gaze, its heart skipped.
Then it was stunned.
Could a single glance truly instill fear within it?
Elder Centipede's expression grew solemn.
Perhaps…
Should I retreat? (run away?)
The thought immediately struck Elder Centipede as absurd!
How could it possibly turn tail and run before a mere human—an existence as insignificant as an ant—without even fighting?
Just as Elder Centipede was hesitating, Fenric, suspended in midair, began to move.
His ultimate skill lasted only twenty minutes, and he had no intention of wasting a single second!
"BOOM!"
A thunderous explosion echoed through the sky.
Fenric's flight speed had broken the sound barrier instantly, producing a deafening sonic boom.
The Indestructible Demon Body increased his physique, strength, and agility fivefold!
In other words, Fenric's Agility attribute had temporarily surged to 2,500 points!
Though the enhancement was temporary, during those twenty minutes, his speed was nothing short of terrifying!
"BANG!"
A fist brimming with explosive force struck Elder Centipede's chin once again...
Up until that moment.
Elder Centipede had only just heard the sonic boom.
What did that imply?
It meant Fenric's flight speed far exceeded the speed of sound!
The next instant!
The Elder Centipede felt its chin, face, and even its entire head begin to disintegrate!?
Fenric's punch was so devastating that it directly pulverized the monster's flesh...
"Pop!"
The sound resembled a bursting balloon.
Elder Centipede's massive head vanished, dark green blood spraying in every direction...
Even so, Fenric had not used his Tremor-Tremor ability.
Had he activated that power, Elder Centipede's entire body would have shattered from that single blow!
…
"..."
"..."
"...!"
"!!!"
Inside the conference room.
When they saw Fenric obliterate Elder Centipede's head with one punch...
The entire room fell into absolute silence.
Everyone stared wide-eyed at the screen, unable to believe what they had witnessed.
That terrifying giant centipede had once brought immense catastrophe upon humanity, forcing mass evacuations and claiming at least a million lives. Even now, it remained humanity's greatest looming threat...
And yet, this monstrous being had been effortlessly decapitated with a single punch!
It was almost impossible to accept...
The conference room remained silent for several long seconds.
"EXCELLENT!!!"
Suddenly, an excited shout shattered the stillness.
Agoni, founder of the Hero Association, slammed his fist onto the table and exclaimed, "Wonderful! That terrifying centipede has finally been slain!!"
Everyone snapped back to reality.
Yes!
Regardless of anything else, that centipede had always been a grave threat to humanity. Its elimination was undoubtedly a blessing!
"That's incredible! I won't have to live in fear anymore!"
"Yes! I can finally sleep peacefully!"
"Who is this young hero? His strength is astonishing!"
"It seems the Hero Association is about to rise to prominence!"
...
Above H City.
Fenric was far less optimistic than the officials celebrating in the conference room.
Because he knew that even if its head had been blown off, the Elder Centipede's regenerative ability would allow it to grow a new one quickly.
At this moment, Fenric hovered in the sky, glancing down at his own hands.
That punch had destroyed Elder Centipede's head purely through raw physical strength, without relying on any additional abilities.
Including the Tremor-Tremor power.
Fenric's base Strength attribute had already exceeded four digits, reaching 1,000 points.
After activating the Indestructible Demon Body, his Strength attribute had increased fivefold—surging to 5,000 points!!
What did that signify?
Power beyond ordinary comprehension!
Even the Elder Centipede's seemingly indestructible body could not withstand Fenric's strength...
"Squish!"
A disturbance arose below.
The Elder Centipede's head had regenerated...
"ROAR!"
With its head restored, the Elder Centipede roared toward the heavens and charged directly at Fenric without hesitation.
"Hmm? You're not planning to run? Then I'll send you on your way."
Fenric muttered to himself as he clenched his fist once more.
Then.
He threw another punch!
"CRACK!"
The void itself seemed to crack.
A primordial, terrifying resonance echoed across the heavens and earth!
