Chapter 25: Are There Techniques to Seal Emotions?
"Ha… hahaha… HAHAHAHA…!"
Shen Yuan's body trembled violently as he gasped for breath. Ten full hours had passed since he completely lost control over his emotions.
He sat on the ground, his back resting against a withered tree on the verge of death. Sweat and blood covered him from head to toe, and his long white hair was disheveled like that of a beast freshly emerged from hell.
He didn't care about his appearance. His eyes were glassy, lost between rage and despair. Around him stretched a horrific scene — hundreds of second-rank beasts lay scorched and torn apart. The stench of blood was suffocating, and the aura of death hung thick in the air like an impenetrable fog.
He muttered in a hoarse, broken voice, as if speaking to himself,
"Did I… lose control of my emotions… again?"
His tone carried a bitter weight.
A month and a half of suffering and suppressed explosions had pressed heavily upon his soul. He had tried to endure, to restrain his frustration… but in the end, everything burst out all at once.
Who could blame him?
To have your freedom stripped away without realizing it… to have your emotions and decisions manipulated by unseen strings — and then to become aware of it, only to feel those same strings tightening around your neck, mocking your helplessness.
He was desperate.
The Elder had once told him that the Laws were the pinnacle of all existence, and surpassing them was no simple feat. But nothing could have prepared him for the feeling of absolute powerlessness. He even began to suspect that his very despair was another manipulation of those Laws — then doubted that suspicion — until his mind was on the verge of collapse.
He grit his teeth and shouted,
"Elder… are there techniques… to seal emotions?"
His voice trembled, yet carried the weight of deep frustration.
The Elder's calm voice replied,
"What are you talking about?"
"I want… to seal my emotions. I can't become stronger while something out there manipulates every single thing I feel. I'll die before I reach anything."
"But I see no being controlling your emotions."
"...Hah?!"
"Why don't you take a look into your Spirit Sea?"
Shen Yuan's eyes narrowed sharply.
He crossed his legs and took a deep breath before diving his consciousness deep into his Spirit Sea…
—and what he saw nearly blinded him.
A brilliant, pure light — radiant and overwhelming — erupted from within the depths of his soul, as if a sun had been planted inside him.
He snapped out of his meditation with wide eyes.
"What… what is this light? What's happening inside my Spirit Sea?!"
The Elder's tone was calm, yet carried the weight of an ancient revelation.
"Your spirit is not an ordinary one… and that is something you'll come to understand in time. What matters now is that this is not just light. It's a fragment of your true soul — the awakening of your Origin Spirit. With the surge of your wrath, that fragment exploded and suppressed the Laws of the universe that were manipulating you."
In that instant, a gleam of brilliance returned to Shen Yuan's eyes — something he hadn't seen in a long, long time.
He didn't fully understand what the Elder meant, but he grasped one truth:
He was free....
No more manipulation....
No more forced decisions.....
No more invisible strings controlling his every move.....
For the first time in ages, he felt that an easy battle… would finally remain easy.
His body trembled with the urge to cry, yet he restrained himself. His emotions were calm now — no sudden waves, no chaotic fluctuations.
He smiled… a small, but deeply genuine smile.
He could hardly believe it, but deep within him — that small fragment of his true soul — had just suppressed t
he very Laws of the universe itself…

Enjoy, everyone :)
