With the training schedule as intense as it was, there was simply no way to pause midway just to accommodate filming for the dating show. An Ning had more than once entertained the thought of withdrawing from the program entirely and paying the penalty for breaking the contract.
At this point, it almost seemed worth it.
What she had not expected, however, was the director's response.
Rather than insisting or applying pressure, the dating variety show's director was surprisingly accommodating. He agreed to let An Ning temporarily step away from filming until her training was completed, without protest or negotiation.
The reason was not entirely coincidental.
He and Wen Shaoheng were friends, and while he did not know the full details, he had a general sense of how brutal the training schedule was. More importantly, he knew that once the intensive physical preparation ended, the cast would be given a brief recovery window before official filming began.
