The red beam was like a soaring dragon, roaring as it swallowed the Fifth Monster's head.
Penny Parker stared blankly as the Fifth Monster fell before her. Just then, the mecha's energy recovered, and Uncle Ben's voice rang in her ears.
"Penny, are you alright?"
"I'm fine." Penny shook her head blankly, then looked at the Fifth Monster, which clearly had two holes blasted in it, and asked Uncle Ben:
"Uncle Ben, who fired the second shot just now? Is it a new mecha?"
"Penny, the only mecha that can be put into battle right now is your spider-mech." Uncle Ben also looked at the high-energy reaction on the radar that hadn't completely dissipated, feeling very confused.
Who could have helped Penny?
Just as Uncle Ben was about to help Penny find that person, Eller voluntarily appeared before Penny.
"Hello there, Spider-Man of this Universe." Eller stood before Penny, holding the Magnum Shooter 40X, which was still emitting white smoke. His White fox mask was very conspicuous.
"You are?" Penny curiously sized up the kind person who had helped her.
After all, she was a child not even fifteen years old, and Penny's thoughts were still very pure.
"A group of villains from other parallel Universes have their eyes on you; they want to kill you."
Eller's words might have been a bit unsettling for an ordinary fourteen-year-old child, and Penny was momentarily confused about what Eller was saying.
"What's a parallel Universe? And a group of villains I don't know?"
Facing Penny's questions, Eller was just about to answer when he heard Uncle Ben's voice coming from the spider-mech's loudspeaker.
"Friend from afar, do you have time to talk with us somewhere else?"
"No problem, like-minded friend." Eller replied.
At this moment, two trucks arrived at Eller and Penny's location. The staff responsible for handling mecha repairs and aftermath gestured for Penny to exit; they needed to retrieve the spider-mech.
Upon receiving the command, Penny exited the spider-mech and appeared before Eller.
Penny had a spider standing on her shoulder, and she was wearing her school uniform. When the Fifth Monster attacked, she should have still been in school. Her short black hair seemed to have been messed up while operating the mecha, and her overall mental state wasn't great, possibly due to the exhaustion of battle.
"I'm Penny Parker, fourteen years old this year. I'm a middle school student and also the suitable candidate for the spider-mech." Penny greeted Eller with a tender voice; her somewhat haggard face and baby fat didn't match at all.
In a parallel Universe, there was no real need to hide one's identity. Eller deactivated his transformation; his armor and driver disappeared into thin air, and he put on the gentlest smile he could.
"Hello, little Penny, my name is Eller, and you can also call me Kamen Rider Geats."
Penny's first impression of Eller was quite good, especially his blue eyes, which looked very, very beautiful.
And at this moment, a medical staff member in a White uniform walked towards Penny, "Penny, we need to go for a physical examination. Your health is of utmost importance and cannot be delayed."
Although the medical staff's tone was kind, it left no room for Penny to refuse.
"Alright." Penny said, lowering her head.
At this moment, the medical staff said to Eller, "Friend from another World, Commander Parker is waiting for you."
"Which Commander Parker are you referring to?" Eller asked. Both Parker brothers were still alive here, so he couldn't be sure for a moment.
To be honest, with the strong sense of déjà vu in this World, Eller almost instinctively felt that Penny's father was not a good person.
Seeing Penny, who lost her mother at fourteen, being pushed out to fight monsters, and also having to endure public scrutiny… This child would be considered cheerful if she didn't develop depression.
So, Eller still hoped that Richard Parker of this parallel Universe was a good father.
"Benjamin Parker." The medical staff said, "The other Mr. Parker is very busy."
"I see. Then please lead the way."
..................
Soon after, Osborn Group Research Base
This is the Osborn Group's research Base, and also the command center where the logistics team assists the spider-mech in battle.
Eller arrived here with the spider-mech, which needed maintenance. Guided by the staff, Eller walked through the military-style steel corridor and arrived at the combat command room.
There weren't many people in the command room. Besides Uncle Ben, who was in charge of coordinating and organizing intelligence, there was Aunt Mei, who was responsible for preparing weapons, and two data analysts who contacted other departments and monitored the battlefield situation.
"Welcome, guest."
Uncle Ben in this Universe looked to be in his forties, and the thick black-framed glasses on his face had quite the style of an IT programmer.
Upon seeing Uncle Ben in this Universe, Eller realized something, "You don't seem surprised by the existence of parallel Universes."
"The prophecy book mentioned that people from another World would come to Earth." Uncle Ben coughed twice. His eyes were bloodshot, and he didn't seem to have rested well. "We concealed this from the public and outsiders; only core personnel of the Osborn Group know about this."
"Are you afraid of causing panic and unnecessary worry?" Eller asked curiously.
Programmer Uncle Ben nodded, admitting, "The prophecy book didn't state what the stance of life from parallel Universes would be. Richard, Norman, and I tacitly chose to conceal it, until you, the guest, arrived…"
"I've brought you advance intelligence." Eller smiled slightly, doing his best to dispel Programmer Uncle Ben's doubts.
"A group of villains planning to kill Penny, that sounds terrible." Uncle Ben pushed up his glasses worriedly.
At this moment, Mechanic Aunt Mei also came before Eller and asked this mysterious visitor from a parallel Universe:
"Why do those villains want to kill Penny?"
"Simply put, they are a group of Vampires who can travel through parallel Universes, and they specifically prey on people with spider abilities like Penny." Eller briefly described Morlun and his family.
"…"
Programmer Uncle Ben and Mechanic Aunt Mei were speechless for a moment. As scientists, they found it difficult to accept such absurd theories, but since even the predicted monsters had appeared in this World, it seemed that the appearance of Vampires was not so strange after all.
After a long while, Aunt Mei and Uncle Ben finally accepted this fact.
Aunt Mei looked at Eller and asked, "So you're here to help Penny, right?"
"Yes, I will take her to a World where she can be protected by strong individuals. Those villains from other Worlds wouldn't dare to easily attack her there." Eller was prepared to act quickly and take Penny away after saying this. Uncle Ben and Aunt Mei also had this intention, but Penny's biological father disagreed.
Richard Parker seemed to be everywhere. As soon as Eller finished speaking, his voice rang out.
"No, Penny is an important means of defense. She cannot leave Third New York City."
