Chapter 118 - Warriors Squad

"Daniel, what are you talking about? What Guardian? Can you explain it to us?" Luke Cage, a man of broad build, asked in confusion.

The others were also puzzled by Daniel's sudden bow, and Sam pressed, "What are you saying?"

"Guar..." Daniel was about to explain when Peter interrupted him.

"Guys, this isn't the place to casually talk about superpowers, is it?"

"You're right, Peter." Daniel nodded, then looked at Eller and invited, "Would you mind coming with us to Midtown High School?"

"If it's an invitation from the new Iron Fist, then I will naturally go." Eller agreed.

"Daniel, won't this be bad?" Luke worried, "Will Mr. Coulson blame us for bringing an outsider to a secret Base?"

"He won't," Daniel said confidently.

...

Some time later,

Eller followed these children to Midtown High School. As an honorary alumnus, he didn't use the main entrance but rather climbed over the wall with the children.

There was no shortage of super-powered individuals here; a light leap was enough to clear the wall. Except for Sam, who had no superpowers without his gear, so Daniel helped him over.

After entering the school, Eller followed the children through the corridor to a small, rarely visited room. A sign that read 'Golden Snitch Department' hung on the door.

"So, you guys set up a new department at school?" Eller asked Peter.

"Something like that." Peter nodded, then said, "It's just a bit special in nature."

At this moment, Daniel walked to a cabinet. He placed his hand on the cabinet door, and a blue light covered his palm. The next moment, the cabinet slid to the right, revealing an elevator that could accommodate more than a dozen people.

S.H.I.E.L.D. would definitely be excellent at interior decoration after disbanding. They managed to hollow out the basement of Midtown High School without anyone noticing, building a small Base for these children.

The elevator started running, and soon, everyone arrived at the underground Base.

The layout here looked similar to the Avengers Base, with functional facilities like a command room, workshop, and training room, but the overall scale was much smaller.

"This is our secret Base, what do you think? Pretty cool, right!" Peter said.

Seeing this, Eller took the opportunity to ask, "It seems you've formed a super-powered squad. Can you tell me the name of the team?"

"We're called the Warriors Squad," Peter explained. "We originally wanted to call ourselves the Spider-Web Warriors, but they didn't agree."

This squad was not much different from the 'Spider-Web Warriors' in Eller's memory, but the current Peter had little experience, so this squad temporarily did not have a Captain.

"No, it absolutely cannot be the Spider-Web Warriors Squad. That sounds like you're the Captain." Sam Alexander immediately retorted, "I think Nova Warriors would be cooler."

It seemed Peter and Sam were a pair of lively pranksters who constantly bickered. Eller smiled slightly watching them argue, then turned to Daniel and asked, "Are you the current Iron Fist?"

"Yes, Mr. Guardian, but everyone else says I'm the weakest Iron Fist," Daniel said modestly.

"Believe in yourself, you will definitely grow," Eller encouraged casually.

At this moment, Sam came back to his senses and asked Daniel, "By the way, Daniel, what exactly did you mean by 'Guardian' earlier?"

"Guardians are warriors who fight in corners unseen by humans. Every Guardian deserves respect," Daniel explained to everyone.

"Sounds cool." Luke Cage raised his eyebrows.

So, Senior Eller has so many identities... Peter secretly thought to himself.

At this moment, a figure appeared in the Base. He walked towards everyone and greeted Eller.

"I didn't expect to see you here, Mr. Eller."

The newcomer was Coulson. He politely greeted Eller, and he was not surprised that Eller would appear here, nor was he angry about Eller's sudden visit, even though only he and Nick Fury were supposed to know about this place.

"I never thought you would be doing this kind of club activity at school," Eller said with emotion.

At this moment, Coulson also walked in front of Eller and explained, "We are taking precautions, and the Avengers will need fresh blood in the future, so we are cultivating some young people with superpowers in advance."

"While using adult teams to attract attention on the surface, you're also cultivating young people..." Eller looked into Coulson's eyes and said, "My intuition tells me that you've formed more than just this one team."

Coulson's eyes were as calm as Water. He candidly replied, "It takes a lot of time to cultivate a well-coordinated team. These kind-hearted children have great potential, and they truly want to protect others..."

"Since they want to, you provide the opportunity, right?" Eller said, following Coulson's meaning.

"Yes." Coulson nodded, "I believe in their potential. This Base is very safe, effectively bypassing certain individuals in S.H.I.E.L.D."

"Just make sure you don't lead them astray," Eller reminded Coulson.

"If you're worried, I'd also welcome you to be their instructor," Coulson said in a tone eager for talent.

"Being a philosophy teacher isn't for me." Eller shrugged, effectively declining Coulson, but he then added, "However, I can occasionally come to accompany them for practical combat training."

"That's great," Coulson said with a smile.

"Then do you provide training equipment?" Eller suddenly smiled mysteriously.

Coulson instinctively felt uneasy, but he still braced himself and replied, "Of course, we will provide you with the necessary equipment. What would you like?"

"Let me think about it carefully." Eller hadn't decided yet, so he prevaricated, "I'll tell you once I've thought about it."

...

Some time later,

Somewhere in America, in a seaside Villa, several people in White coats walked out and got into a car, leaving the place.

In the bedroom of the Villa, a disheveled man was lying on the bed, foaming at the mouth. His eyes were unfocused, and he seemed to have gone through something terrible.

Soon after, Whitehall, dressed in a gray suit, entered the room. He quietly looked at the man on the bed, smiling slightly as he said,

"I hope you can become more rational after abandoning those worldly thoughts, Mr. Ivan Vanko."

The man lying on the bed was indeed 'Whiplash' Ivan Vanko, whom many factions were searching for. This person possessed the method for creating the Ark Reactor, and many factions wanted to control him.

But how could those people compare to HYDRA?

Arrogant Ivan Vanko, after removing the Black cloth from his head, thought people would beg him. But when he displayed his wild and untamed attitude, the HYDRA Agent's stick came down, and after a severe beating, various brainwashing surgeries awaited Ivan.

After multiple brainwashing sessions, Ivan Vanko transformed from a dissolute street punk into a scientist utterly loyal to HYDRA.
