General Ross, that old man, definitely hadn't given up on his research into Gamma Rays, even continuing to try and replicate the Hulk after the Abomination incident.
The green, deformed monster in front of them was likely the result of those experiments. Eller thought for a long time before remembering the creature's codename: 'Flax'. It sounded a bit like 'Frankenstein', the creator of the monster.
Eller couldn't decide which was better looking, Flax or Frankenstein's monster.
"Guys, this fellow is for Thunder God Thor to handle!" Thor, who had been living a mundane life on Earth with Jane, felt an itch he couldn't scratch. He immediately swung his hammer and smashed it towards Flax.
'Roar!'
The monster roared, and the god and beast immediately began to fight.
"Sir, I have completed the scan and will now provide you with the underground structure map."
Jarvis also finished scanning the Base at this moment, and the holographic UI in Tony's helmet flickered, presenting the information to him.
"I've found the source of the Gamma Rays. It's underground in this Base, Captain. We need to go shut it down."
Although Tony enjoyed bickering with Captain America, in this critical moment, he knew exactly what he needed to do.
"Iron Man, you lead the way. Black Widow, Hulk, Kamen Rider, you all follow me." Captain America raised his arm and gestured for his teammates to advance.
Hulk didn't object to Captain America's suggestion, mainly because he found the wing pattern on Captain America's helmet moving back and forth quite interesting.
On the ground, Thor battled Flax, while Hawkeye in the sky occasionally provided covering fire.
Tony flew ahead, leading the group into a building within the military Base. He quickly took control of the electronic devices there, activated the elevator, and brought everyone down into the underground section of the military Base.
"Hmph, this place has a smell Hulk hates." Hulk frowned, somewhat displeased.
The next moment, over a dozen mutated creatures charged towards them. Eller and Tony immediately opened fire from a distance, blasting them away.
"Black Widow, you stay and guard the elevator. The rest of you follow me." Captain America made a cautious choice, seemingly very wary of not having teammate support from behind.
With that, they advanced again until a beam of purple laser forced them to stop.
"Looks like the deeper we go, the scarier the monsters get." Tony stared intently ahead, fixing his gaze on the purple-skinned person.
This figure still retained a basic humanoid shape, but his facial features were completely indistinguishable. Purple energy, manifesting as Fire, wrapped around his hands, and he was even capable of communicating with humans.
"Hehehe, join the glorious evolution!"
With that, the person fired another laser. Seeing this, Eller raised his hand and fired a shot, intercepting the person's laser.
Bang—
The energy bullet and the purple laser collided, creating a not-so-beautiful firework.
"Leave this one who can fly and shoot lasers to me." Eller voluntarily stayed behind; he recognized this purple-skinned person.
If Eller remembered correctly, this person's codename was 'X-Ray'. Although his name contained an 'X', he had no relation to the X-gene whatsoever.
This guy was likely a member of the evil, low-budget Fantastic Four, 'U-Foes'. Although he didn't know where the other three were, Eller could feel that this person's strength wasn't too low, making him suitable for a warm-up.
Just then, everyone heard another deafening roar, and the ground shook in waves.
The next moment, a tall red figure burst through the wall and charged directly towards Hulk.
The terrifying force startled even Hulk, and when the dust settled, everyone gasped upon seeing the figure clearly.
"Big guy, do you have any relatives we don't know about?" Tony said, looking at the red figure.
Hulk stared at the similar figure, gritted his teeth, and then roared, "Hulk hates him."
"Roar!"
The red giant, similar to Hulk but entirely blood-red and constantly emitting heat, let out a roar.
Seeing this, Hulk roared back, unwilling to be outdone, and charged forward.
The two giants crashed into each other. There was no technique involved, just a pure collision of strength, creating an Impact so strong that it made Tony unsteady in flight.
"Iron Man, leave this place to the super-powered individuals. We need to deal with the Gamma Ray source." Captain America suggested.
"You're right this time. We need to finish before they tear this place apart." Tony replied.
Afterward, Captain America and Iron Man left together.
At this moment, Eller also removed his Magnum Buckle and replaced it with the Inferno Booster.
[Set · Inferno!]
X-Ray sensed something was wrong and immediately charged at Eller with the speed of a supersonic missile. However, he was still a step too slow. A wave of heat, centered around Eller, spread outwards, and the powerful heat forced X-Ray back.
"You come run a lap with me." Eller invited X-Ray. At this moment, Hellfire wrapped around his legs, making him even faster.
"Hehehe, then come on!" The delirious X-Ray still didn't know what kind of enemy he was about to face.
Eller had originally planned to play with X-Ray using his long-unused Command Buckle, but after Red Hulk appeared, he abandoned that idea.
Red Hulk had too many dangerous factors hidden within him; it was more appropriate to control him first.
[Purgatory Strike!]
A quick decision, without any hesitation, Eller first gave X-Ray an 'Purgatory Strike'. The fiery scarf around Eller's neck suddenly intensified, then all concentrated on his right fist.
Whoosh—
Accompanied by a slight whoosh, Eller appeared in front of X-Ray as if teleporting, his right fist, enveloped in Hellfire, slammed into X-Ray with an unstoppable force.
Hellfire instantly engulfed X-Ray. The extremely high-temperature flames immediately made him let out a painful wail.
But this guy's body structure was special; he was a semi-energy life form. He hadn't died after taking an 'Purgatory Strike', only falling into a brief coma.
After dealing with X-Ray, Eller immediately intervened in the battle between the two giants.
Hellfire erupted, separating the two giants. Eller stood next to Hulk, pointing at Red Hulk and saying:
"Big guy, do you hate that guy?"
"Hulk hates him." Hulk said without any pretense.
"Who else do you hate?"
"General Ross."
"Then just hit him like he's General Ross. This is a rare opportunity." Eller smiled slightly.
Red Hulk was General Ross in the original timeline, and this one in front of them was very likely him too, especially since this time it was General Ross's Base that had an incident, yet Eller hadn't seen General Ross himself appear.
Red Hulk couldn't get stronger with rage like Hulk; when his rage reached a certain level, he could release high-temperature flames.
Opportunities for Hulk to openly hit General Ross were rare. And though Hulk seemed to have a bad temper, he was essentially a child. After hearing Eller's suggestion, he actually did just that.
